(Third Person POV)
"Father." Rhaenys said as she walked next to Aemon, "Riktor Drakkengard seems to have taken an interest in me."
Aemon looked at her, "So it seems..." He said, "Your thoughts on that?"
Rhaenys shrugged, "You and Uncle Baelon have made your decision." She said, "I am already betrothed."
"And if you were not, what would you respond to Riktor?" Aemon asked, "Need I remind you that all of you are quite young?"
"You need not to." Rhaenys said, "I am aware."
As they walked, they ran into Daella who was standing next to Alyssa, Rhaella behind them as Aemon approached them.
"Oh, Aemon!" Daella said with a smile
Aemon could not help but smile, "Hello, wife." He said as he leaned in and kissed her cheek, "What are you doing?"
"Alyssa was mentioning how we could go to the Dragonpit later." Daella said, "Perhaps the Princesses might want to see what dragons they could claim?"
"Viserys shows no interest...." Alyssa said with a frown, "But....I will insist. I do take them to ride....but Daemon prefers riding with his father...."
Aemon chuckled, "It makes sense." He said, "It is Balerion after all."
Daella looked at Rhaenys, "How about it?"
Rhaenys nodded, "Sure."
Daella smiled warmly, "Very well then."
"Father..." Rhaella said as she walked up to Aemon, "That man scares me....."
Aemon frowned, "Who, my dear?"
Rhaella pointed behind her, towards the far end of the hallway, "That one."
All of them saw where she was pointing and were unsettled by the fact that Drakken was leaning on the wall, within the shadows of the hallway. He was staring directly at them, his eyes glowing as he stood there, menacingly.
Aemon got in front of them, "Get behind me." He said with a serious look, "Drakken...."
Drakken then took a step forward, his footstep echoing through the hallway, "Aemon." He said as he looked at him, "I wanted to get you alone.....but it seems that it won't be possible."
Aemon narrowed his eyes, "What do you want?"
Drakken slowly walked forward, causing Daella to step back, pulling Rhaenys and Rhaella towards her as she looked down, sweating slightly.
The God of War and Death stopped several feet away and placed his hands in his coat's pocket, looking directly at Daella, who was not wanting to make eye-contact with him.
"So....." He said with a slight smirk, "It appears that the two of you are quite close.....or so I hear."
"What of it?" Aemon said, "What is it to you?"
Alyssa glanced at Daella who was sweating, "What.." She muttered
"Hm." Drakken said, "You know, I did not come alone to King's Landing. You might have heard by now, but there is a detachment outside the city, with a camp set up."
"Yes, I am aware." Aemon said, "Baelon is in charge of checking on it."
Drakken looked at his nails, "Remember the beast that was in Harrenhal...." He said seriously, "On that day?"
Aemon frowned, "W-what..."
"Well, I brought it." Drakken said, "See, my son did not want to leave his companion alone in Harrenhal, so I brought it along."
"Don't you dare-" Aemon started
"Let's play a game." Drakken said as he looked right back at him, "Choose any of your dragons and pit it against my wyvern."
"Wyvern...?" Alyssa asked, "What...."
"Why do you want to do that?" Aemon asked, "What's the point?"
Drakken smirked, "To establish my superiority." He said, "The beast is young and smaller than my other ones. It is no Ammaria nor Grayle, but I am sure it would be quite formidable. My son is quite fond of it. What say you? Do you wish to play this game? You win, I will leave King's Landing....I win, I stay a little while.....perhaps I should pay a visit to my shrine...."
Aemon widened his eyes, "So there is one....." He said, "In the city....."
"Oh yes." Drakken said, "My followers are all over....the moment they saw my banners, they were overjoyed....they felt my presence...they are currently praying to me. I can hear them, their voices....it is quite something."
"I refuse..." Aemon said, "We're only supposed to tolerate you solely because of Maegelle and her child. That is all."
"That child is your niece." Drakken said, "Your blood."
"She is more your daughter than she is our niece." Aemon said, "You cannot deny that."
"She has your sister's face.....and one of her eyes." Drakken began to pace back and forth, "I will not tolerate any disrespect, she is your family too."
"Aemon, don't antagonize him on that manner." Alyssa whispered
"Speaking of children." Drakken said, "I did once make you an offer, which you just left in the dirt. My son has taken an interest in your Rhaenys."
Aemon scowled, "No."
Drakken stopped, "Oh, but my old friend...that is not up to you." He said with a slight smirk, "See, my son will eventually get what he wants. And he wants your daughter's hand....and I guarantee you, it will happen. But the thing is, the thing that will bother you the most.....there will be no underhanded tactics....simply fate....."
He then pointed at Daella, which caused the Princess to flinch slightly.
"Just like Fate...will prevent her from giving you what you want." Drakken continued, "Or what you need. You get what I mean, Aemon?"
Alyssa glanced back at Daella, whose lips were curled and she seemed to be holding back tears. Something was wrong and Alyssa knew it.
Aemon glared at Drakken, "I don't care if you're truly a god...." He said with an angry tone, "I will not let you torment my family."
"For today...." Drakken said, "I will be peaceful. But torment, Aemon? You will know true torment. You see, I got a serious bone to pick with you. And Baelon. The rest of your siblings, I truly don't care for. Your sisters....I got two of them....and the rest....these included....they're safe, I suppose.....or maybe not. But here's the thing, you and I.....we're going to fight to the death. You refused the game between our beasts....well, I offer you one more game...."
Aemon clenched his fists, "W-what do you want?"
Drakken raised his hand and black energy swirled in his palm, taking form of some sort of crystal taking the form of a heart.
"Ten hours." Drakken said, "This thing.....it will grant you unimaginable power for Ten Hours.....it will give you power akin to mine.....it is quite the creation....well, right now it is incomplete....but that is the vision I have for this object. Should you truly want to kill me, then you simply need to wait until it is complete...and ask for it. I will gladly give it to you....and I will fight you once you ascend to a similar level to mine. You are of Dragon's Blood, I imagine your body will be compatible....albeit, it will be quite painful at first."
"That is a trap." Aemon said, "I won't fall for it."
"No trap." Drakken said, a serious look on his face, "You killed my Daranne. I will have my vengeance after I torment you, after I put you through so much pain and sorrow....so much despair...It is too easy....to remove your head right now.....and get it over with. Oh no....that is not how I want it.... I want to feel it...I want to take my time...."
"I want to kill you in a true battle."
