Chapter 48 - Planetary-Level Solar Laser Eyes

"Foolish..." Ian stared at the gigantic humanoid ant who had appeared above his head. "Do you think of me as an easy target?"

The humanoid ant, after the initial confrontation with the Grand Elder, realized that he wouldn't be able to do anything. The opponent's strength was far stronger than his. Now, it decided to attack the other one that it deemed weaker.

Screeecchh!!

With a terrifying scream, the humanoid ant decided to use his 1st transformation. The mandibles retracted swiftly and turned into arms made of sharp swords. A purplish aura came rushing out of the humanoid ant's body that pierced the sky.

This transformation allows him to multiply his strength by twenty times in a short time!

"Not good!" The Grand Elder, who felt the ant's aura, had a change in expression.

This aura? It seems not inferior to him anymore. He could feel that tremendous energy amount that the ant contains was enough to raze multiple islands on the ground just like him.

He wants to rush towards Ian's side, but the remaining beasts intercepted him, and their strength is stronger than the Elders' and just a little weaker than his. But with their combination, even the Grand Elder felt suffocated for a while.

The Grand Elder exchanged blow to blows with the terrifying beast. One hot got its chest caved with his punch laced with absolute vibration, disintegrating its heart inside. Yet, the beast didn't die at all. Such a terrifying vitality.

The exchanges of blows, coupled with a missing arm, made it harder for the Grand Elder, even though his strength was superior. Out of ten punches th fucking threw, only three connects. He had been hit in the back, in the neck, in the kidney with claws, paws, and various energy-based abilities of various colors.

Injuries accumulated. Even his formidable vampiric healing factors that had already fully recovered his missing arm were unable to keep pace with of injuries due to the flurry of attacks.

On one side, Ian's crimson eyes turned glowing, and it began to release a blinding light as he looked at the transformed ant indifferently. "Die motherfucker." His voice lacks motivation.

"?"

The ant felt the might of the laser eyes as it could feel concentrated heat. The temperature around them suddenly increased as if the sun had teleported near them. This is the side effect of solar power! It could be said that Ian's eyes that contain the power of the surface of the sun now!

It actually far exceeded his body's endurance capability, and even the maximum power of his physical attack pales in comparison with his laser eyes now.

Even with the Asura body, a five-meter body compressed to seven feet, which possessed exaggerated defensive capabilities and abnormal resilience. Ian felt agonizing pain as his body actually started to burn as if caught in flames.

The power of the temperature of the sun isn't something his body or this very planet could actually bear. Ian quickly closed his bleeding eyes as a result. Fortunately, his eyes quickly recovered in a split second thanks to his healing factors.

He looked around him and saw that half of the island had disappeared and was floating. The humanoid ant, along with the rest of the beasts, turned into ashes, or there's not even ashes left.

He looked around and he could find the Grand Elder's silhouette. A look of regret appeared in his eyes, and he felt suffocated. 'Could it be he died? Fuck! My Solar Eyes had reached fucking planetary level!?'

Why give him such power when he couldn't even use it for a few seconds without being burned to a crisp? If he hadn't decisively closed it, he would surely have gone to the afterlife.

'System! I need an explanation!'

The biomass he spent wasn't enough to warrant such power. If it were another time, he would be glad to have obtained such power for a few amount of biomass. However, isn't it a bit too strong? To the point of implicating his own life and teammates?

What the fucking hell?

[The description mentions the power of the sun, the host... Aren't you reading?]

"..."

"I have read about the power of the sun, but I didn't expect it to be literally to reach the same as the temperature of the Sun!'

Ian had a blackline on his face, his eyes twitching.

Suddenly, a golden crack appeared in the space, and the figure of Grand Elder, whose face was filled with a look of fear and paleness, came out. "I almost died!" His 7,000+ years of life had almost came to a fucking end.

"You majesty the king, what the fuck did you do!?" The Grand Elder treated himself as a gentleman, but he couldn't help but speak in profanities this time.

'My dear life.' The horrifying heat and golden flash of light was the only thing he saw as he and the beasts around him had been burned at an exaggerated pace. If not for his divine eyes' spatial ability to open a separate dimension exclusive to him. He knew his dear life would have died in an instant.

"Well, It's my fault really." This time, Ian could only scratch his head on embarassment.

The Grand Elder stared at Ian's face and he could see guilt. 'He didn't really intend to do it? An accident?'

Around him, the entire floating island had been obliterated in a half. He could also feel that the number of powerful presences had been reduced to a half. The roaring of beasts could be heard from time to time. The Grand Elder guessed that the beasts must have been scared to death.

"Still, what the fuck did you do? I just saw you're eyes turned golden and then..." The Grand Elder trailed his voice as he didn't really know what so say.

"It's my laser eyes that had evolved. You should know that was called Laser Demon in the way because every enemy I've faced had died from my laser..." Ian sighed and paused for a moment then continued: "I just didn't expect that it's evolved version would propel its power that point."

The Grand Elder clenched his fist: "Although I've only experienced it briefly, that power had definitely reached planetary-level!"

Ian nodded. "My base strength is just continental-level at maximum output along with my physical strength. I can't defeinitely use that shit unless I'm about to face death."

At the same time, Ian began to complain at his system. 'System, is there anyway to control the power output at will?'
