Zaroth was forced to shield his eyes from the blinding light that came from beneath his feet.
It was obvious that it was caused by an enemy, leading him to order the serpent to move ahead at full speed.
He knew that when one found themselves in deep waters, they had to move calmly to avoid attracting the attention of any potential foes. However, considering that giant monster approached them first, it was pretty clear they had already been spotted.
ROOOAAAAAARRR
Letting out a mighty roar that seemed to split the waves coming towards them, the serpent shot forward, its speed increasing many times over.
Naturally, due to the increase in its movements, the mana the serpent was using increased as well.
Still, Zaroth couldn't afford to play it safe. Conserving too much mana now might weaken the power needed to face the looming threat—and the consequences would be dire.
