Joe looked at Angelica with a trace of horror in his eyes.
Was this really his daughter? How could she be this terrifying?
Jack let out a cold laugh.
"Chairman Morris, you went as far as ordering a kill over a liar like Angelica. Don't you feel the least bit ashamed? And by the way, the 'truth' Mr. Reid was talking about… that wasn't all. See you around."
The entire villa fell into dead silence.
A long moment passed before Angelica's sobs broke the stillness.
Grandpa Reid looked utterly exhausted.
Anyone who just had a gun pointed at their head by their own grandson wouldn't look too good either.
"Chairman Morris," he said with narrowed eyes, "the order to kill Selina… that came from you, didn't it?"
"Logan thought it came from me. I won't deny it—truth is, that woman Selina is a walking disaster. The world's better off without her. But I didn't expect you, Joe, to be so underhanded. Trying to make the Reid Family take the fall for your mess."
