The next day, Barry wakes up in Caitlin's bed. After how pissed she was at Cisco last night, she needed to blow off a lot of steam. Luckily, Barry can go all day without stopping.
He eats his breakfast with her and leaves for work.
When he walks into the CCPD, he meets Joe.
"Good morning, Joe, what's up?" Barry asks.
"I think I should be the one asking that questions. What happened at that warehouse last night?" Joe asks.
"Nothing unusual, just a bunch of smugglers who got into a gun fight," Barry says. He doesn't want to tell Joe that the Star City vigilante, the Arrow, is here, looking for someone.
"Don't lie to me," Joe says, giving Barry his signature questionable glare.
"Why would I even lie about that?" Barry asks.
"Because my men found arrows at the crime scene," Joe says.
"Arrows, what were arrows doing at the crime scene? I don't know anything about that. I just ran in and knocked out a bunch of guys who were blasting bullets everywhere," Barry says.
"And who were they shooting at? They were definitely not shooting at each other since they all belonged to the same gang?" Joe continues to question Barry.
'Why is he always so persistent?' Barry thinks. "Maybe there was an infighting," Barry says.
Joe gives him the glare, but seeing Barry stick to his lie, he decides to pursue this some other time.
"Whatever you are hiding, I am going to find it, and you will hear from me then," Joe says.
His men only found arrows and nothing else, so there is no reason to associate them with the Green Arrow, and Oliver has maintained his allure and kept himself away from the public eye.
If things go well, Oliver will catch his guy and return to his city before anyone even notices him.
But knowing that fate likes to fuck with people like him, Barry is ready for the worse.
CCPD seems more chaotic than ever, as the existence of Meta Humans has come forth, many unexplained cases have been reopened and assigned for reinvestigation.
Police officers are revisiting their cases, looking at them from new angles and finding new clues that were overlooked this past year.
Barry's work also increased as newfound potential evidence kept coming through his lab's door, forcing him to use his powers to solve them at a much faster rate.
It's lunchtime, but Barry continues doing his work, trying to finish everything so that he will have enough time to run around later.
But his workflow gets disturbed as two people walk into his lab. Felicity and Oliver.
"Felicity, Oliver, what are you doing here?" Barry asks.
"Well, we were in the area and thought we would ask you to join us for lunch," Felicity says, to which Oliver nods his head.
Barry looks at the pile of work still remaining, but he has super speed, so he can complete them at home if he takes them back with him.
"Sure, let's go," Barry says, closing the case file he was working on.

At Jitters, Iris serves Barry, Felicity, and Oliver their order while being completely mesmerised by Oliver.
"Barry, a word," She says, dragging Barry along with her. She slaps Barry's arm, offended as if he did something wrong, only to hurt herself in the process.
"Your arm is getting really hard," Iris says, rubbing her hand. "Why did you slap me?" Barry asks. "How come you didn't tell me you knew Oliver Queen?" Iris says while looking at Oliver like some obsessed, love-sick girl.
"Yes, I know Oliver," Barry says. "He is so dreamy~" Iris says. 'Control yourself, woman,' Barry thinks. If she is already acting like this, seeing Oliver, Barry wonders how she will react if Bruce Wayne himself appears before her eyes.
"Whoa there, calm yourself down. Remember, you are still dating Eddie," Barry says.
"I know, but Oliver Queen is one of my three lists," Iris says.
"Three lists?" Barry questions.
"Guys, I am allowed to cheat on Eddie with," Iris says. Hearing this, Barry feels a little awkward because he would never let a girl he is dating ever have a hall pass. Well, it's not like he is the one dating Iris, so he has no say in what she does.
"Too bad, you aren't lucky enough. He has someone he likes," Barry says.
"Who? Is it Felicity?" Iris asks curiously. Barry just smiles and doesn't answer.
"I think you should get back to work if you don't want to lose your only job," Barry says, and leaves her hanging. Iris grunts and goes back to serving.
Barry joins Oliver and Felicity and starts talking about what's important.
"So, did you find anything?" Barry asks, looking at Oliver.
"Yes. I did some digging last night, and I think I have a name. Roy G. Bivolo," Oliver says.
"How did you figure it out?" Barry asks.
"Umm... I have my ways..." Oliver says, avoiding eye contact.
"I hope you didn't torture someone to get this information, hahaha," Barry says, as if he is making a joke, but he knows how Oliver must have gotten this name.
"Haha," Oliver laughs awkwardly while Felicity enjoys watching Oliver's best attempt at acting innocent.
"What about the Boomerang? Did Cisco find anything?" Barry asks.
"No luck. We had hit a dead end with it," Felicity says.
"And the murderer I am looking for must have already left the city after last night's bust at the warehouse. I don't think he will stick around, knowing what he is looking for has been confiscated," Oliver says.
"So it sounds like your job in Central City is done," Barry says.
"It seems so. Thanks for the help, Barry, but it's time for us to leave," Oliver says.
"Well, it was great having you guys over. If you need my help, just call, and I will be there in a few seconds, maybe a minute tops," Barry says, bragging with a smile.
