Kiros looked at him suspiciously; he knew Nova well enough to know when he was thinking of doing something stupid, but what he did not know was whether or not he should let the others know, especially Dravon, since, like it or not, he was still the leader of the group.
Kiros sighed and took a step towards him. "Whatever you are thinking, I think you should let it go, because if you get caught doing something here, they will send you to jail, Nova. This place is serious."
Nova glanced at Kiros upon hearing his words and his brows furrowed; then he dropped his hand and took a step back. He knew very well Kiros had a point.
From beneath his cloak, a small wisp of darkness drifted free—nearly invisible unless caught in the right light. It slipped over the railing and sank into the sea without a sound, carried by currents only Nova could feel. It was subtle, harmless, for now.
Just a mark. A watcher.
Let them try. Let them come.
