Darren froze, his eyes wide. His blood turned ice-cold.
Mason looked at him, raising a brow. "Bro, what's going on? You look like you saw your ex with your dad."
Darren's throat was dry. "Mason," he said stiffly, glancing at the phone. "Would you… want a kiss?"
Mason blinked. "Excuse me?"
The voice cackled softly through the speaker. "Ask nicely. Don't make me repeat myself."
Darren clenched his jaw. "Do you want a kiss or not?"
Mason stared, stunned. "Are you drunk?"
"No," Darren said quickly. "Just answer."
"Hell no!" Mason snapped, scooting away from him on the couch. "What the hell is wrong with you?!"
Aurora's voice returned, now deeper and more dangerous.
"Well then, Darren… force him. Use your family name, your so-called influence. Isn't that what you always do? Isn't that what you did to all the girls?"
Darren stood up so fast his drink spilled. "No! I'm not doing this! That's insane!"
