After putting on the robe, I looked in the mirror, which revealed a very handsome and elegant youth with blonde hair that had some black strands and amber eyes. Seeing myself, I couldn't help but smirk as I ran my hand through my hair.
"Ah, nice to see my charm back to its peak."
Exiting my room, I then saw the bloody face of Toby.
"The hell are you doing here?" I asked coldly
"I-I was supposed to guide you." Hearing that, I nodded before I delivered another kick
I started to walk away.
'Guess I'll use him later'
Although I had been through the entire mansion many times, walking through it now felt like it was my first time. Along the way, I also met a few servants who looked at me with worship as they bowed; however, I ignored them.
Reaching a giant door decorated in gold and other materials in certain patterns, I stopped before I opened the door.
When I opened the door, I was greeted by a scene of a few people sitting at a table. In front of them lay different delicacies. The head of the table was empty, with just a big chair. On one side of the table, an extremely beautiful woman who had a small child next to her sat.
That woman was my stepmother, Abigail, and beside her was her daughter, my little half-sister, Sophia Van Bismarck.
On the opposite side sat 2 more beautiful women. One of the women had dirty blonde hair and bright blue eyes, while the other had grey hair and green eyes.
These women were my stepmothers or "mothers" as they were my father's first and second wives.
The first wife, Penelope, had a total of 3 children, 2 of whom were considered "heirs" as they had pure bloodlines. The oldest passed his ceremony however, it seemed it wasn't a great result as he wasn't given the greatest position. The one that wasn't an heir was living in some city somewhere...or that's what most people believed.
Beside her was her third child, Joseph Van Bismarck. Like me, he had similar features to mine and was considered "talented."
The second wife, Eloise, had four children, but only three of them had pure bloodlines. One failed, resulting in his death. The other was somewhere else because he was not considered an heir. One was able to achieve some great things, but not as great as my half-brother's, while the other was still waiting for his.
Making my left hand into a fist, I bowed, doing a "proper" greeting.
"Aaron Van Bismarck, greets the first mother, second mother, third mother," I said, and then a second later added "and brothers,"
Seeing that Abigail smiled and gestured toward me, "Aaron, come sit,"
As I walked, I noticed that out of the corner of my eye, I saw my stepmother and half-brothers glaring at me, which wasn't really a surprise.
Abigail had a total of 3 children.
Sophia, my older half-sister, and her first my older half-brother.
My older half-sister was so successful, in fact, that she ran and owned a few of my father's businesses and even started her own business, which was extremely successful.
My older half-brother was also amazing. He achieved one of the greatest results at his ceremony and was very powerful. He also had a few extremely successful businesses. Thanks to his abilities, he was considered for the patriarch position, although everyone was a bit hesitant due to his…"hobbies".
Considering there were 2 successful children back to back, it was obvious that the other wives would feel threatened.
My mother wasn't here as she died while giving birth to me. However, Abigail took me in as her son, and I considered her my mother.
I quickly sat beside my mother and held back my emotions.
In my previous life, I had to bury Abigail along with my younger sister, who failed her ceremony. But this time I was going to change that.
I looked at the plate of food. It was filled with some scrambled eggs on some French toast, sausages, and beans as well as a buttered croissant. Taking a bite of the croissant, the buttery flavour filled my mouth.
'Ah it has been too long since I had food this good'
However, when I finished my croissant and started on my toast, I heard the door open again. When I looked, I got up along with the rest of my family and performed the family greeting.
The man who just came in had long blonde hair that stretched to his shoulders and amber eyes. He was beyond handsome and appeared to be in his early 20s with no wrinkles in sight despite being in his early 60s.
Everyone stood up and greeted him.
When he sat down, a fresh breakfast platter was placed in front of him, and he started to eat. While we sat back down.
This man was my father, Victor Van Bismarck, and held an elder position in the family. While this was mostly due to his skills, one of the big reasons was his heir's successes. But eating with him was rare as he was busy with his business and…other lovers...
"Are you ready for tonight's ceremony, Aaron?" Hearing that, I turned toward him and smiled. "Of course, Father,"
Hearing that, Abigail had a nervous expression.
Hearing my response, he nodded, "Good, we will leave in 5 hours, so get your things ready, I do hope you don't disappoint me."
But then Michael, Eloise's son, spoke, "Father, can you tell us about the ceremony?"
Michael was a prick.
There wasn't any other way to put it. If I had to guess, he was the one spreading the rumors and helping his older brother in order to get rid of me due to his mother's current position in the family.
I watched Victor glare at Michael, causing him to shrink back. "Michael, don't ask such idiotic questions; you will know the details when your time comes."
I looked at Michael, who then turned his gaze toward me. Despite having a pleasant smile on his face, I could see the hatred in his eyes "I-I was just concerned about my brother's well-being, Father. I heard that there was a chance of death."
I couldn't help but bite my tongue.
'Yeah right, you bastard!!'
Hearing that, Victor nodded, "Indeed, it isn't a secret; however, the bigger the risk, the bigger the reward."
"Here, that dear brother? I suggest you be careful," he said with a sneer.
I then smiled, "Of course, brother."
Once breakfast was finished, Victor got up, "Aaron, follow me."
Hearing that, I nodded and got up and started to follow him.
