[Hi hi, it's me, your only error code, just here to clear a small misunderstanding, the author meant to say that they'll only post one chapter this week, sorry not sorry! Anyways, on with the story!]
After Hella and Hecate brought the rest of the syringes, I waited for Perlman to answer me, however, he remained silent.
However, Nicole came to my side and placed her hand on my shoulder.
"Eros, now's not the time to play good cop and bad cop, we need to focus on getting the residents out of the blast zone." Nicole said to me.
However, hearing this, Perlman began to panic and struggled to get out of my grasp.
"No you can't do this!" He started to say, only for me to punch him, and knocking him out, everyone then turned towards me.
"What? He was going to go on a rant like every corrupt CEO." Everyone began to mumble in agreement at what I had said.
Soon, Belles eyes widen in panic, and she rushed towards me and Nicole quickly, waving her arms to catch our attention=.
"You guys, we got bad news, the tracks that lead back were blown, were stuck here!" Soon, we all heard one of the guards coughing, with a mix of laughter.
"W-we will never let you escape and expose everything." He said with labored breath.
"You do realize if you die here, you wont get paid, right?" I asked, the guard then remained silent, and soon laid back on the floor.
"… I didn't think that through." Was all he said before Hella smacked the guard with her hand.
"Switching back to the current problem, what do we do?" Billy asked, with the current situation, we didn't have a plan at the moment.
"It's best if we take cover, I see reinforcements coming our way." Anby stated, looking back, there were multiple guards heading towards us.
"She's right, everyone on the train." All of us then rushed inside, and soon saw the guards preparing to shoot at us.
"We need time, does anyone have an Idea?!" Billy panicked, hiding in a corner and shaking.
I soon saw a small radio device, and heard one of the guards speaking through it.
"Sir, we have the intruders trapped inside the train, shall we proceed with a frontal assault?" I knelt down and soon pressed the receiver button, and spoke.
"Stand down, the CEO of Vision is in this train, so don't even think about chargin in." I said, and saw the guards lowering their weapons.
"Stand down, they have mister Perlman as a hostage!" One of the guards shouted, all of them soon hesitated, seeing the situation their boss was in.
"If you let us go, no harm will come to him." I demanded, and to make sure that I was keeping my word, I pulled out my pistol and aimed it at his head.
"And what makes you so sure that we won't shoot you here and now?" Asked a random guard.
All of us soon turned to the guard that said it, looking at him as if he was some sort of idiot, no, more like that weird friend that said a weird thing.
"I'll say this, he does not speak for all of us." Said another guard, with the rest nodding in agreement.
"Bob, shut up, your making us look stupid." I then made my way back to the rest of the group, with Perlman in tow. Once arriving back to the group, I noticed that the air was tense.
Nekomata had her head lowered, with Nicole, Anby, and Billy staring at her. Hecate, Hella, and Crache were off to the side, with Crache taking a nap.
"Eros, you might want to sit for this, since the kitty cat has something to say." Nicole said without breaking eye contact.
Hearing this, I soon sat down, not before placing Perlman off to the side, where Billy began to tie him with some rope.
"Tell him what you told us." Nicole ordered Nekomata, looking closer, I soon saw a small pendant in her hand.
"This pendant… is my family heirloom." She said, her eyes showed nostalgia, and a found smile.
She then held it in front of me, showing me a picture of her, and a man with grey hair, both were smiling at the camera.
"You were a part of the red fang gang." Nekomata lightly nodded her head at my statement, and looked at the ground with shame.
"Yeah, I was an orphan in canvas street, and the red Fang gang took me in." She said, smiling at the pendant in her hands.
"We weren't always bad, we had the ideal on protecting our home, protecting the people in canvas street." Her voice slightly cracked as she hid her tears.
"But when things started to turn bad, I knew I couldn't stay with them, so I left." She took a deep breath and clenched her hands tighter around the pendant.
"I wanted to be mad at them, they broke their vow on protecting canvas street, but I just couldn't." She said and wiped her face.
"And after hearing that you guys had killed Silver, I wanted to avenge him." I was surprised to hear that, and turned to look at Nicole.
"That's not true." She sighed and soon glanced at me.
"Silver was the one chasing us at the time, and we fell off a building when a PubSec Helo shot a missile at us and the Red fang gang." She didn't need to explain the rest, and I sighed.
"He became an ethereal." Nicole nodded silently at my statement, while Nekomata stared at the floor.
"Besides that, I thought the cunning hares were horrible people, but seeing them save a child, and wanting to help the people escape, I knew I had misjudged them." She then looked at all of us with determination.
"So, to return the favor, I'm going to buy you guys some time to get the people out." She smiled, and within an instant, she dashed and grabbed Perlman, and closed the door on us.
"Hella, get it open." I said and ran toward the door with Billy in tow, trying to pry the door open with our hands.
"Chief…" Hella spoke, up, but I didn't let her finish.
"I said help me open this door!" I shouted, I struggled to open it, not caring if I bleed from my fingers.
I soon felt Hella grab my arm, and pulled me back. She then forced me to sit on one of the seats in the train car and looked at me in the eye..
"Chief, she made her choice to do this, we should at least respect her decision." She said, I looked to the side and saw Crache nod at Hellas statement.
"She's somewhat of an adult right? She has the right to fix her mistakes." I could only sigh at their words, knowing I would be held here.
"Fine, let's not waste her sacrifice, and figure out a way to get the people out." I said and placed my chin on the back of my hands.
"Well, since the rail that leads back to the city is blown, we can't use the rest of the rails that lead to other stations, the people wouldn't last the trip." Nicole stated.
"What about taking the people to the edge of the blast zones?" Hella asked, Belle and Nicole both shook their heads.
"The stations that are close to the blast zones are blocked off, we would have to take the train into the hollow and take the long route to the exit." Hearing this, Hella could only click her tongue in annoyance.
"There is another way, but it'll be risky." Belle said and looked at us with a look of concern.
"Well, we already past the point of no return, what's the idea?" I asked with a smile.
"Nice, okay, so, when a Hollow is formed, ethereal's spawn inside it, like a fungus spreading in some areas." I nodded at her explanation.
"We can choose to control it, or get rid of it, but it always comes back." I soon understood what she meant.
"You want to remove just enough ethereal's in order to make the hollow smaller." Belle nodded her head with excitement.
"Yup, that way we don't need to go into the hollow, and have the people out of the blast zone." Soon, the word Fairy popped up and I heard the automaton speak.
[Notice, the amount needed to make the hollow smaller, is 3,000 ethereals.]
"That much?! But we'll run out of supplies by then!" Billy wailed and landed on his knees.
"Well, there is another way quicker way, but like I said, it's more risky." Belle said while patting Billy.
"Right, if we eliminate an elite ethereal, it could be like taking out a lot of ethereal's. But the only elite ethereal would be…" I began to think.
"The dead end butcher." Anby said and turned to look at Belle.
"If we deal with the dead end butcher, we not only eliminate a dangerous hostile, we save the people that are trapped here." Anby said.
"But with what? Our weapons are not enough to deal with it." Billy saiid and leaned on a barrel full of explosives.
"Why not just use that? No need for swords, or guns, just one big explosion." Hella said and imitated an explosion.
"That's so crazy, it just might work." I said and turned to Belle.
"Can you locate where the dead end butcher is at?" I asked her, Fairy soon spoke up.
[Notice, the dead end butcher is approximately ten minutes away.]
"Thanks Fairy, now that we have an idea on where the dead end butcher is at, we need to split into three groups." Belle explained and jumped down.
"Wait, what do you mean three groups?" Hella asked with annoyance.
"We need you guys to go after Nekomata, something tells me the negotiation won't work too well." The four of us nodded our heads and soon made our way to the door.
"Hella, open it, please." She gave me a smug smile and stepped up, rubbing her hands and placed both hands on the doors.
"Open sesame!" She pried opened the doors with ease and stepped out first.
"She's petty, isn't she?" Billy asked me, I only nodded and stepped out, followed by Hecate, Crache, and finally, the cunning hares.
"Good luck you guys, you're gonna need it." Nicole said to us with a smile, I extended my hand for a hand shake, but Nicole grabbed my arm and placed it in between her chest.
"Don't die, big boy." She purred and soon began to walk away while swaying her hips, Billy and Anby soon followed her.
"I don't know if she's trying to flirt, or trying to scam you." Belle said with concern.
"I've grown used to it, you'd be surprised with the amount of sinners that act like that." I sighed and knelt down in front of Belle.
"But in all seriousness, good luck Belle, and stay safe." I smiled and gently ran my hand along her head, well, Eous's head.
However, Belle stiffened at my touch, her eyes then closed, and the screen began to turn slightly red.
"O-oh, um, g-good luck to you too." She said and entered the train, once the door closed, the four of us began to follow the route Fairy had sent us to where Nekomata was going to.
As we ran, I kept an eye on the location on where Nekomata was, and she hadn't stopped, in fact she was making her way to the exit.
"We need to hurry, Nekomata is making her way to the exit." I said and began to run faster.
We soon arrived at what looked like a dead end, but we didn't stop, instead, we soon arrived inside what looked like a tunnel, and looking behind us, was the hollow.
"Chief, Nekomata is up ahead, including , multiple hostiles are up ahead, how shall we proceed?" Hecate asked me.
"Forward, we shall proceed forward." I said and began to walk forward.
As we got closer, I saw Perlman was still unconscious, only this time, he has a small dart on his forehead.
"You three, go hide." The three of them nodded and soon split off in different directions.
"And who might you be?" A woman asked me, and I turned to look at her.
I pulled out my I.D the one from my world and held it in front of me, letting the blood red symbol shine from the lights that surrounded us.
"I am the chief of the MBCC, Eros Voss, and all of you are under arrest." I said loud enough for all of them to hear.
The people that pretended to be police officers all began to panic at what I said, and soon began to look around, checking if there was any reinforcements.
However, the only one who remained calm was the woman. She stared at me with a curious look, only to widen her eyes in realization.
"Oh, so you're the person she was waiting for." She then raised her hand to her face, and licked her lip as of she had tasted something delicious.
"And she wasn't lying that you look handsome." She whispered to herself.
"However, I must stop you right there, you are outnumbered, ten to one. How can you fight all of us, if you are alone?" She said and raised her arms.
Hearing that I was alone, the guards soon raised their weapons at me, all of them growing confident to seeing just me and Nekomata.
"Who said I was alone?" I asked and snapped my fingers, Crache was the first one to act, she appeared in front of a random soldier.
The solder screamed seeing Crache in front of them, only to have a shadow claw grab them, and used them as a bat.
Some tried to react by shooting, but with their allies around them, they were forced to use their own fists.
However, she would use the shadows around her to disappear, and soon reappear in front of another solder, and repeat the proces on using a guard as a bat.
Hella was the next one to act, she landed on one of the solders from above, causing a sickening crack to be heard.
"My legs!" Shouted the guard, but they didn't have enough time to say anything else, the helmet they wore protected them from an attack in front of them.
"So, who else wants a broken leg?" She asked with a cruel smile on her face, the guards then reacted.
All of them pulled out knives and three of them soon rushed towards her. However, she didnt move, in fact she stood in place, letting a the three knives strike her.
After the three knives stabbed her, she swung off the guards that struck her and stood their with the knives still embedded inside her.
"I'll admit, not as strong as a corruptor, but if I'd put you guys in the ranks, I'd say low b rank." She sighed and began to pull each knife out.
As the knives clattered against the floor, her flesh and muscles began to knit itself back together, seeing this, the guards could only take a step back, watching in horror to see Hella's regeneration.
"Oh, right, you guys never saw my kind." She said and and soon rushed at all of them with the same cruel smile on her face, with her pipe raised.
Hecate was the final one to act, sending nightmare towards another group, however, they all began to look around in panic, trying to identify where nightmare was.
"I see, so you can't see it outside the hollow." She said and caught their attention, her face having the same neutral look as always.
"What the hell is that… that thing?! Call it off!" Shouted one of the guards and tried to get close to her.
Only to have them get caught in nightmares grip, their body easily raised in the air. They tried to struggle out of nightmares grip, but their efforts were in vain.
"I can't do that, chief had given me an order…" Nightmare soon brough the guard in front of her, her eyes staring at the helmet.
"…And I will obey his orders alone." She then raised her hand, and the black sphere she uses soon formed in her hand.
Seeing this, the gaurd Egan to struggle even more, trying to kick Hecate. But was soon slammed on the floor, knocking the wind out of their lungs.
"Please don't resist, nightmare hates it when their prey struggles." Hecate said, but before she could do anything else, nightmare soon flew in front of Hecate.
To Hecate, Nightmare was in front of her, blocking all the bullets that were about to hit her.
But to them, it was as if the bullets were striking the air, being crushed by nothing but the air.
One of the guards soon tripped over a construction lamp and knocked it onto the floor.
The light that was supposed to shine on Hecate, showed something else, a shadow, one that floated behind her.
"What the hell are they?" Nekomata asked me, seeing how easily the three of them were dealing with the army with ease.
"They are people who fight sin. They are people to me, but to others, they are something else." I said.
Hecate stared at the like of guards in front of her, Crache was on top of a crane, staring from above, while Hella stood on top of her own pile.
The woman who led them all stared at the three piles with interest, and soon turned to me.
"And pray tell, what do you call them? Guardian angels?" She asked me, but I nearly stared at her, and my arm glowed once again.
The shackles began to glow on the three girls, their necks showing the thorns that ran across their neck.
"No, they wolves in sheep's clothings, hunting the people who have sinned at my command." The woman only smiled at my words.
"I see, then, you must be the shepherd, guiding them to hunt the sinner." She then began to walk away, leaving the five of us alone.
"It's my loss, but don't think you have won just yet." The lights that surrounded us soon flickered, and the woman disappeared.
Soon, the five of us soon heard shouting and footsteps getting closer, looking behind us, were the people who were abandoned back in the bast zone.
Seeing that they had arrived, I had Craceh, Hella, and Hecate to return to my side, and we all made our way towards them to greet them.
However, as we got closer, I saw that the cunning hares were in the front, leading said group.
"We have… arrived." She tried to announce the group, and the people behind her, only to widen her eyes, and her jaw hanging loose as she saw the three piles of guards.
"Welcome back, seems your operation was a success." I said with a smile on my face.
"Uhhh… yeah, what happened here?" Nicole asked while raising her hand that was shaking pointing at the three piles.
"Let's just say, the negotiations didn't go well." Belle soon ran towards me and hugged my leg, staring at me with relief.
"Are you okay, you're not hurt, are you?" I knelt down and placed my hand on her head, and gently rubbed it, feeling my hand, Belle closed her eyes and leaned into my touch.
"No, I'm fine, but thank you for being worried." I said and soon turned to the people, who looked at the four of us with fear and caution.
"We'll take our leave, Phaethon, we'll be there soon." I said and began to walk away, with the three sinners in tow.
[Ahhh!! That was so cool! It's just like when he rushed in the black ring without a care, wanting to save… Whoops, almost gave away a spoiler, sorry ^__^, anyways, now that the kitten is safe, and the people out of the blast zone, what'll happen next? Stay tuned to find out, and send those power stones to show support! Bye Bye!]
