"Jax, go for the same head as me," Melayne called out, her flaming sword carving another line across the gorgon's left neck. "The sooner we get rid of a head, the less we'll have to focus on."
Jax, who had been focusing on the middle head and watching out for the last head, saw wisdom in those words.
"Agreed," Jax replied, positioning himself alongside her. He focused on the two heads still, but only to defend himself from it. For now, his target was the third head, alongside Melayne.
The boss was clearly distracted by the injuries upon injuries that were inflicted upon it, as well as the poison threads that continuously lowered its health. Its heads were still tied together at the neck by Jax's Earth threads, making it harder for the creature to move about with as much freedom as before.
The binding had forced all three heads closer together, limiting their independent striking range.
