Hearing Minato's words,
both Kushina and Rei looked at Simu with worry in their eyes.
"Simu, let's just go now. I'll go with you!"
Kushina's eyes were full of determination.
Rei nodded firmly. "I'll go too!"
"Go?"
Simu slowly put on his coat of justice.
With a calm face, he asked,
"Why should I leave?"
"Did I break Konoha's laws?"
"Is it wrong to kill enemy ninjas during a mission?"
"Don't tell me this Konoha is run by immortals or something?"
Simu's tone gradually turned cold.
He sneered, "I'm not leaving. I want to see what they think they can do to me."
With that, he turned and headed for the door.
Minato asked anxiously, "Simu, what are you doing?"
Simu didn't look back. "I'm going to see how those old fools plan to deal with me."
His tone was calm, but beneath that calm, a terrifying killing intent surged.
He knew Konoha's upper ranks were absurd.
But now that such absurdity was being aimed at him?
He wasn't about to play the part of Hatake Sakumo.
Or the future Hyuga Hizashi, silently taking the fall.
"I'm going with you, Simu!"
Kushina followed without hesitation.
Rei did the same. The two stood by his side like guardians.
Simu smiled gently and said,
"Don't worry. Those rotten high-ranking officials can't do anything to me."
"If you come with me, you'll just get in my way. Go home and wait."
Kushina hesitated, but she knew he was right.
With their strength, they'd only be a burden.
"Alright… but you have to come back alive."
She cupped his cheeks and kissed him hard.
Rei didn't think at all.
She was simple. If Simu said something, she'd trust him unconditionally.
Even if it meant death.
Simu stroked Kushina's scarlet hair.
Then turned to Rei and asked,
"What about you? Not going to give me a kiss?"
Rei's face instantly turned red.
Kushina snorted but didn't object.
Blushing, Rei kissed Simu on the cheek.
Watching from the shadows, the Anbu ninjas assigned to monitor Simu were speechless.
This guy wasn't just terrifyingly strong—
He was ridiculously good at picking up girls too.
Disgusting!
After receiving two kisses, Simu waved his hand and turned.
"Don't worry. Just wait for good news."
With his hands in his pockets, and under the watchful eyes of countless Anbu,
he walked leisurely toward the Hokage building.
His coat fluttered in the wind, the word "Justice" faintly visible on the back.
Minato looked at Simu's back and sighed.
This guy really is...
He vanished in a flash.
He had to find Jiraiya quickly.
As one of the Legendary Sannin, maybe he could help.
By the time Simu arrived,
the Hokage building was already in an uproar.
At the gate, the Anbu ninjas stood tense and alert.
Ten of them were positioned around the area.
But what surprised Simu was seeing a familiar figure—
Uchiha Mikoto!
She was currently arguing with the guards.
"Let me in!"
Uchiha Mikoto shouted anxiously.
But the two Anbu guarding the entrance remained unmoved.
Their eyes behind the masks were cold and expressionless.
"Sorry, Lady Mikoto. The Hokage has ordered: no unauthorized entry."
Realizing she couldn't get in, Mikoto became even more agitated.
She stood at the entrance and yelled:
"Simu killed for a Konoha mission!"
"If you hand him over like this, Konoha will be known as ruthless and heartless! Without honor or integrity!"
"What ninja will dare to risk their lives for Konoha after this?!"
"Will our clients still trust a village that betrays its own people?!"
Her words struck deep.
Villagers nearby started to gather, curious about the commotion.
They had sensed something big was happening,
but now they were beginning to piece it together.
According to Mikoto's explanation:
Simu had killed a noble heir from an enemy country during a mission for Konoha,
and now Konoha was going to hand him over to appease the enemy.
Rumors spread like wildfire.
Simu couldn't help but laugh.
He never expected Uchiha Mikoto—normally so gentle and composed—
to have such fire in her.
Inside the Hokage building,
Uchiha Sifang, patriarch of the Uchiha clan,
watched from a window, expression dark.
Looking at his daughter crying outside, he sighed in pain.
As a member of the Uchiha,
he wasn't sure whether such strong emotions were a blessing or a curse.
Among the crowd, a tall figure wearing a coat of justice slowly stepped forward.
"Excuse me, excuse me…"
Simu squeezed through the crowd.
He placed a hand gently on Mikoto's head.
"Thanks for the trouble."
He smiled at her and walked toward the Hokage building.
Mikoto froze for a moment, then blushed.
"N-no problem," she replied quickly.
Two Anbu stepped forward to stop him.
"The Hokage ordered—no unauthorized entry."
Simu adjusted his glasses.
"Do you know what they're inside fighting about?"
The Anbu remained silent.
Simu pointed to himself.
"They're arguing whether to hand me over to the enemy… and you're calling me unauthorized?"
"Get out of my way."
His tone turned sharp.
Still, the Anbu didn't move.
Simu smiled coldly.
"So, it is those two old fools pulling the strings."
As the two Anbu began to react, Simu had already vanished from sight—
and reappeared right between them.
Two punches. One for each.
They were sent flying, crashing through the Hokage building's walls.
Inside, the meeting room fell silent at the sudden explosion of noise.
"What was that?!"
Mitokado Homura looked out the window, frowning.
Danzo's gloomy eyes lifted slightly.
Sarutobi Hiruzen exhaled a cloud of smoke.
He already had a feeling who it was.
Sure enough, the boy Simu suddenly appeared at the window.
He knocked on the glass.
"Moshi moshi, may I come in?"
Before anyone could respond, Simu opened the window and jumped inside, landing smoothly and sitting down on the windowsill.
He nodded casually toward Uchiha Sifang, who was the closest to him.
"Wow, so many clan leaders here... what a grand formation," he said nonchalantly.
The entire conference room fell into silence.
Everyone stared at Simu in shock.
It was like a monkey had just crashed into a board meeting of a Fortune 500 company!
Seeing no one speak, Simu crossed his legs and said casually:
"Relax, everyone. Weren't you all having a nice little discussion just now?"
"Carry on! Don't let my presence interrupt the fun."
He was treating the Hokage's high-level strategy meeting like it was his own living room.
Faced with such an audacious act, Mitokado Homura immediately shouted:
"Hanyu Simu! Do you even understand what you've done? Do you realize the trouble you've brought upon Konoha?"
Simu leaned his head on one hand and yawned, looking bored.
"Of course I know. I just killed a noble's son during a mission, right?"
The room went dead silent again.
Even Hiruzen Sarutobi was speechless.
Mitokado Homura's chest rose and fell rapidly.
"Do you even realize he was the son of the Daimyo of the Land of Wind?! You want to start a war between the Land of Fire and the Land of Wind?"
Simu raised his head slightly and looked at Homura.
"I pick your mother."
Homura froze on the spot.
Again, silence dominated the room.
Just moments ago, the meeting had been full of heated arguments—yet ever since Simu appeared, not a single soul dared to make a sound.
"Y-you... what did you just say?!"
Homura's voice trembled with rage.
"I said I pick your mother."
Simu picked his nose, flicked the booger away, and added:
"Did you hear that clearly?"
"If not, I'll say it again—"
"I pick your mother! I pick your mother! I pick your damn mother!"
He suddenly vanished in a flash, reappearing on the table right in front of Homura.
Squatting there, he glared at the elder and said coldly:
"Don't try to put a hat on me. We're all ninjas here—why can't I kill him?"
"He walked onto the battlefield of his own free will. He deserved to die."
"If you don't like it, I'll throw you in a cage with the Daimyo of the Land of Wind and let him kill you. Let's see how you feel about that."
Simu's blunt and merciless words made Homura's chest swell like a balloon—up and down, ready to pop at any second.
"Y-you...!"
"You're being presumptuous!" Utatane Koharu finally spoke up.
Simu sneered.
"Presumptuous? No, you are presumptuous."
"A so-called 'meritorious elder' who would sacrifice Konoha's own shinobi for a bit of political leverage and power."
"The ones who should be handed over and executed are the narrow-minded, self-serving fossils like you!"
His words didn't just target Homura—they slapped Koharu in the face too.
Even the veteran Jōnin around the room started looking at Simu seriously.
Regardless of how things ended, standing up and saying all this in front of Konoha's top brass was no small feat.
"Presumptuous! Seize him!" Koharu snapped.
Compared to Homura, the thinner Koharu was far calmer.
The two Anbu behind her immediately sprang into action.
But Simu was faster.
Before Koharu had even finished speaking, Simu had already detected their movements with Observation Haki.
He leapt onto the table, grabbing both ninjas by the head, and smashed them into the wall!
Boom!
Two elite bodyguards who had followed Koharu for years were taken out in an instant.
Simu turned and looked at her.
"That was close."
"If I were even a second slower, I'd be dead—silenced by an advisor."
"And then you'd throw my corpse out there to calm the public."
He put his hands back in his pockets.
Koharu still wanted to speak, but Hiruzen raised his hand.
"Enough!"
"This is the Hokage building—not a damn vegetable market!"
Simu raised his head and met Hiruzen's gaze.
His voice was steady.
"Hokage-sama, I'm not Hatake Sakumo—I won't hang myself over rumors or suspicion."
Hiruzen's pupils shrank.
Simu's words had multiple meanings.
One: He was just as strong—if not stronger—than the White Fang.
Two: He had no intention of dying to protect the village's 'reputation.'
Three: If Konoha insisted on handing him over, then the village would gain a powerful rogue ninja.
"What do you want?" Hiruzen asked solemnly.
"If they want war, then let them have war," Simu said coldly.
"If Konoha—the strongest of the Five Great Nations—starts cowering at every little threat..."
"Then what's next? Yesterday it was Hatake Sakumo. Today it's Hanyu Simu."
"Tomorrow it could be the Hyuga Clan, the Uchiha, the Akimichi..."
"Should we just hand over whoever they ask for?"
"The leaves dance to show the will of fire... right?"
Simu turned and glared at Koharu and Homura.
"Is this how your great tree protects its new sprouts? By burning them away?"
"Or are you just turning young lives into fertilizer for your own survival?"
He scoffed.
"Disgusting."
For a moment, both Homura and Koharu were speechless.
They simply hadn't expected Simu to come in this fierce.
No room to defend.
Hiruzen remained silent as well.
At that moment, a messenger from the Land of Fire's Daimyo finally spoke.
"Hokage-sama, this is the Daimyo's will."
It meant—this request to hand over Simu came directly from the Daimyo.
Refuse it, and…
Simu turned his head toward the envoy.
The moment their eyes met, the messenger felt a chill crawl down his spine.
It was like facing a wild beast instead of a man!
Just then, a loud commotion broke out outside the building.
A team clad in white coats had arrived at the Hokage building.
They were the emissaries of the Land of Wind.
Before they even entered, the leading envoy shouted:
"If Konoha doesn't provide a satisfactory explanation to the Land of Wind today, we will declare war on the Land of Fire!"
The room was shaken.
Even Hiruzen's expression changed.
This was a public slap to Konoha's face.
Simu's lips curled into a smile.
"Since none of you can make a decision..."
"Let me make one for you."
