Chapter 95 - Picking

Derrick's POV

I stepped down from the car. The air around this pack was thick with hostility. The guards didn't hide their scrutiny—they watched us with unflinching alertness. Behind me, Felix approached, accompanied by over twenty of our finest men. I had believed twenty would suffice. These were not just soldiers; they were warriors—trained, tested, and more than capable of reducing a pack like this to ash.

I walked with my shoulders squared, my posture radiating authority, toward the guard posted at the pack house. The look in his eyes made it abundantly clear—he wasn't pleased to see me. But I didn't need his approval.

"Your alpha?" My voice cut through the air, deep and commanding. Without hesitation, the guard led us to the front door. Around the pack house, other guards gathered, eyes fixed on us. Some clutched weapons; others didn't need them—their sheer presence was threat enough.
