'Don't you think the reason why Father was unable to conquer much—or even create an empire like the Kree—is simply because his way of fighting is too inefficient? I mean, who the fuck sends their top commanders or leads the army themselves whenever they start a war?'
[So you're saying the only reason you don't like wars is that your father doesn't know how to fight one?]
'Exactly. If you want to learn the art of fighting a war, then you must consult the British—conquer a nation, make it a colony, send colonial soldiers to conquer more colonies for them. This is what we should be doing. Not leading the army of Asgard and charging every fucking time we fight.'
[It's an interesting prospect, Master, and very probable too... Especially considering that we would conquer many planets—we can surely raise armies from the conquered planets and attack other worlds with them. This would increase the speed of conquest severely and would only benefit Asgard with almost zero losses.]
'That's what I said. I can bless a lot of people in conquered worlds, putting them above the rest of the populace—which would consist of the entire ruling class. Of course, they would also be controlled by me, and if we rule the ruling class, we rule them all. And besides that, we can pull in the resources of several worlds together and build weapons of war which a single world simply can't hope to create.'
[That would be easy, but there are still some complications...]
'Of course there are, but that's where you come in. We would create an AI capable of ruling the conquered worlds in the best manner possible... Well, it won't be an AI entirely, since you would be the one controlling everything. I have no interest in ruling so many planets—just Asgard is enough. And with them being ruled by you, the Wisdom King, they are certain to grow in whatever direction I desire, with almost zero chances of rebellion.'
[Well, that solves everything. I can handle it all easily. But when exactly do you plan to become the king? You've already surpassed your father in strength—taking the throne should be easy, right?]
'No need to hurry... I'm only like, what, 500 years old? I can always become the king later, right? Though I do have a time in mind...'
[When your father turns on Hela, right?]
'Yeah. I did try to lecture her, and she's improved too, but my presence has skewed up some things. Like, for one—the conquest of Asgard is happening much faster than it would have happened, and Father's growing more cynical with each passing moment... And you know, my divinity has been telling me that Father might just seal and imprison Hela to give something akin to an ultimatum or warning to me... He's been growing wary of my strength too... Well, he's been like that forever, but it feels as if it's about to reach a breaking point soon...'
[I mean, you've become even stronger than him. Sure, he doesn't know that, but he's right to be cautious. And he definitely won't risk a fight against you when he can use Hela as a scapegoat. And her sadistic slaughterer tendencies do make her an easy target... Most people do believe that she's a bit crazy.]
'Nonsense. She's my cute little sister—how can she be crazy? Remember those times when she would run to me and ask for a death battle, with those cute pleading eyes?... Alright, maybe she is a bit crazy, but that's not important. She's my crazy twin sister—no one messes with her, okay?'
[Yeah, yeah. You'd even beat up your father if he tries to seal you. But we can talk about that later—look, their army has already gathered. You should finish them first, Master~.]
'And just when we were getting to the interesting part...' I sighed.
"Prince Magnar of Asgard... You may be one of the fiercest warriors in the universe, but you are severely outnumbered. We of Klartz do not desire war—please leave our planet, and we will ignore your invasion of our world."
These idiotic words were spoken by none other than our lord and savior, the greatest warrior of Klartz, the one and only Max Klar, commander of all forces of Klartz.
"..."
Heck, even I was dumbfounded. These mongrels think they even have a chance?
[Ahhh mastaaaarrrr!!! Runnnnn!!! We are outnumbered!! How would we ever fight them—there are millions of them!! Call the Bifrost! Call the Bifrost!] came Raph's mocking voice.
She has changed a lot in the past few centuries and is very close to evolving into a Manas... a few centuries more and she would evolve into one, even without the existence of the Voice of the World.
'Alright... stop joking, Raph!' I managed to say—or think—while boisterously laughing myself. It's been a good few years since someone has talked to me like that. Usually it's like, "Ahhh run, it's Magnar," or they just start begging for their lives.
"Isn't it a bit presumptuous of you to say that?" I asked, raising my eyebrows, but didn't wait for an answer and continued, "Well, you are indeed correct—we are outnumbered. I need to correct that now, don't I?"
A dangerous smirk was forming on my face. Well, dangerous for them. I, for one, thought that I looked absolutely stunning with that smirk.
[Damn right you do, Master.]
'Damn right, I look good.'
Anyways.
"I cast, FIREBALL!"
And a ball of fire flew at an astounding pace toward the Klartz army... Sadly for them, I lied. That wasn't a fireball.
As for what it was—well, you can imagine it by considering that the next act I did was to erect a barrier covering the army of Asgard, to save them from the explosion.
And, KABOOOOOOM!!!!
Whooosshhhh...
Yupp, always works like a charm. No Klartz soldier left here.
Anyways, that was a good old exploding supernova, in case you were wondering. It has become something of my favorite spell these days.
And another thing before I forget—just kidding, I don't forget.
But do you remember that last camp scene at the start of the previous chapter? I presume you do...
That scene happened because of the shockwaves of my precious fireball.
Yes, I did not attack them at all. They were fucked up just by the shockwaves—and they were like hundreds of miles away.
So children, what do we learn from this?
Well, nothing much.
But you have to remember that Fireball is an awesome spell.
Next time someone argues with you, cast a fireball on them. It warms their heart... and ignites friendship and passion.
HAIL FIREBALL!!!!
