"Black Hair!"
Katakuri's voice was a low growl. His eyes blazed red, and his whole body crackled with dark, angry energy. He moved towards Roya, each step cracking the ground.
Seeing his younger brothers and sisters hurt so badly had pushed Katakuri past his breaking point. He couldn't see the future anymore; all he felt was rage.
Black Hair will pay for this!
Roya grinned, walking forward to meet Katakuri. His eyes were locked on Katakuri's squared-off, mochi-covered arms.
So, he's gotten stronger.
Katakuri lifted his square fist, covering it with powerful Haki that turned it into a solid, black pillar.
Roya made a fist, too.
"Square Mochi!" Katakuri roared.
"Iron Body: Steel!" Roya shouted back.
They both leaped into the air, fists meeting with all their might!
"Boom!!!"
The sound was deafening as their Haki slammed together!
The air shook, and the powerful shockwave spread across Cake Island. Even the people in the towns below felt the heavy pressure in the air!
"Heh, that's got some punch!" Roya said, his eyes shining with excitement.
He hadn't used any of his special abilities; this was just a clash of pure Haki power.
"Boom!"
The ground around them exploded. When their strength reached its limit, both men were thrown backward, digging their heels into the ground for dozens of feet before they could stop.
It was a perfect match!
Katakuri waved his hand, and the ground around them twisted and rose, forming thick strips of mochi that shot towards Roya!
"Hanging Rain Mochi!"
"Zzzt!"
Before the mochi could even touch him, dazzling electric currents burned them. They lost their shape and shattered, falling to the ground with a burnt smell.
Roya watched Katakuri with cold eyes.
Katakuri's Haki was just as strong as his, but mochi was no match for lightning.
Roya held his Thunder Blade steady, asking, "Have you seen your defeat?"
"What?" Katakuri paused, suddenly feeling a strong sense of danger. In the future he had seen, Roya's sword pierced his chest.
And it was happening now. In a flash of lightning, Roya was in front of him, his sword aimed at Katakuri's chest.
"Lightning Cut!"
"Thunk!"
The sword came out his back!
Katakuri stayed calm. He had seen this coming and turned the area around his chest into mochi before Roya attacked.
Black Hair was fast, unbelievably fast, but as long as he could see the future, he was unbeatable!
The lightning was trying to paralyze him, but his Haki could resist it for a moment. He just needed to move his body away from the sword or attack!
Katakuri raised his arm, turning it into mochi and expanding it into a massive, high-pressure club.
This was his strongest attack!
"Cut-Mochi--Pfft!"
Blood flew from his mouth, and his strength drained away.
"How is this possible!" Katakuri said, looking down in disbelief.
He felt dizzy, like he was seeing things. The sword that had gone through mochi was now inside his body.
"Strange, isn't it? Even though you saw it coming and turned your body into mochi, you still got hit." Roya pulled out his blood-covered Thunder Blade.
"Thump!"
Katakuri fell to one knee, holding his bleeding chest, still unable to believe what had happened.
Since he had mastered Future Sight, this was the first time he had been hurt!
"Black Hair, what did you do?"
"It's simple. I messed with your senses a little." Roya held out his hand, and lightning danced across his palm.
"Every thought we have is sent through electrical signals in our brain. Think of them as brainwaves."
"And I am lightning. I can read brainwaves, hear what people are thinking, and even change their thoughts by messing with those brainwaves. I could even control what they see, hear, smell, taste, and touch!"
"Controlling all five senses is too hard, I can't do that yet."
"But changing your perception, making your senses a little off, is easy for me."
"You could say it's like a kind of trick."
Roya stroked his chin. "Future Sight isn't perfect. You better be more careful next time. Don't be so sure you can just take someone's attack without getting hurt."
Katakuri's eyes widened.
His Future Sight had been defeated!
He realized he had turned his body into mochi, but he hadn't done it in the right place, which was why he had been hit.
"Cough!"
More blood splattered on the ground.
"Damn it!" Katakuri struggled to stand, feeling helpless. If Black Hair could mess with his thoughts, how could he ever win!
"Don't push yourself, Katakuri. You can't beat me," Roya said, shaking his head.
The truth was, messing with brainwaves wasn't that simple. They were complicated, and each one held a lot of information.
The more you messed with them, the easier it was for the other person to notice something was wrong, like seeing the sky change or something else that didn't make sense. If they thought about it, they'd know something was up.
It took perfect control to do it right.
Also, brainwaves only lasted a moment. It was like sending an idea into someone's head, like a trick.
If the person knew what was happening, it wouldn't work as well.
Making brainwaves also took energy. It wasn't a problem against weak people, but being distracted while fighting someone strong was dangerous. It had to be used at the right moment.
As for using lightning to destroy the brain...
Even lightning might not kill someone. The little bit of electricity he used wouldn't do anything.
Katakuri gasped, his eyes dark. He was the only one left of his brothers and sisters; he couldn't lose here.
Even if it meant dying, he wouldn't give up!
"Thump! Thump!"
The ground shook!
Katakuri turned and saw Big Mom, who had lost her mind. His eyes went wide.
"Mama!"
"Get out of the way, Katakuri!" Big Mom waved her hand, sending Katakuri flying. She spread her hand and roared, "Napoleon!"
"Yes, Mama!"
The hat on her head turned into a sword with a face and landed in her hand. The sun and thundercloud beside her turned into balls of fire and thunder!
Big Mom raised the sword, her eyes glowing red. "You ruined my tea party, my desserts! You're going to be my next treat!"
"Don't be so cocky, you old Four Emperors!" Roya shouted, his eyes turning into silver lightning. A powerful electric field burst around him, and his entire body turned silver.
He had reached the peak of his electric power.
Thunder God Mode!
Roya grabbed the Thunder Blade with both hands and charged at Big Mom's sword!
"Clang!!!"
The two weapons slammed together!
A deafening sound echoed, and a more powerful wave of Conqueror's Haki than before spread across Cake Island, creating huge waves.
"Aaaaaah!!!"
The Underworld Emperors, who had been watching in secret, couldn't stay on their feet. They waved their arms, trying to grab something, but were thrown into the sky.
They knew this was a fight only Four Emperors could create!
Black Hair was terrifying!
"Look at the sky!" Morgans shouted, and the Underworld Emperors looked up. The clouds were rolling back, showing a huge gap.
The sky had cracked open!!!
