His fingers traced higher, a teasing and agonizing path.
Chloe shivered. Her breath hitched as his hand pressed forward past the barrier of silk.
A soft gasp escaped her lips when his fingers found the space between her legs.
“So tell me, what do you want?” he whispered against her skin, his strokes slow and teasing, breaking her breaths.
Chloe looked down, watching the way his hands moved—possessive, steady, each motion more intoxicating than the last.
“I want you,” she said. “I want you.”

"I was so worried when you disappeared. I tried to reach you in so many ways but none worked. I'm just relieved Damien found you and brought you home." Miranda reached for her daughter's hand, but Chloe flinched.


Miranda noticed immediately. "Is everything okay?" she asked, brows knitting.


Chloe swallowed. "Mom…" Her voice cracked. "I need your help."


Miranda's eyes softened. "What is it, Chloe? You can tell me anything."


"I need you to help me get Marcel Cross out of jail."
