Chapter 115 - CHAPTER 114

A Roll of Dragon Skin

What Luo Wei took out from the Sanctuary space was, of course, the dragon skin he had cut from the slain dragon.

To pick fruit in Thunder Valley, one must inevitably endure being struck by lightning. Naturally, in the face of thunderous might, dragon leather armor would provide exceptional protection.

Last time, when he wore metal inner armor, he was almost killed by a lightning strike.

Dealing with dragon skin was a challenging task, requiring a fair amount of magical expertise that ordinary tanners simply lacked. Therefore, Luo Wei brought the dragon skin to the Norvi Magic Shop in Ada Town.

The Norvi Magic Shop was the largest establishment of its kind in Asgard, offering almost every magic-related service imaginable, and had considerable experience producing dragon artifacts.

"Wow, what a massive dragon skin! Did you obtain it during the Hunting Festival?" It was Haldo, the shopkeeper's son, who received Luo Wei.

Haldo was a blond young man with a very friendly smile and an extraordinarily handsome appearance. The maids and female customers in the shop couldn't help sneaking glances at him.

"Yes," Luo Wei replied. "I want it made into full-body leather armor, including a helmet. I trust you can handle that?"

Haldo nodded confidently. "Of course. No one knows dragon leather armor better than us. Do you have any specific requirements for size and style?"

"Well…" Luo Wei hesitated slightly, his expression troubled.

The Talent Flask would enhance all his talents, including his physical stature. However, the final result was uncertain—whether he would grow to 1.8 meters or 2.5 meters remained unclear.

Dragon leather armor was highly valuable. He didn't want to outgrow it shortly after commissioning it.

"Just match your body shape," Luo Wei finally decided. "As for style, keep it simple and practical."

Standing about 1.9 meters tall, Haldo had a build that was neither fat nor thin—considered upper-middle stature among Asgardians. Luo Wei reasoned that after consuming the Talent Mixture, his height would likely land somewhere between 1.8 and 2 meters.

"Why such a request?" Haldo asked, visibly puzzled.

"It's for a friend," Luo Wei lied casually. "He couldn't come himself, but his figure closely matches yours."

"Got it." Haldo nodded. "Crafting dragon leather armor takes at least a month. The cost is usually one hundred and fifty runes, with a fifty-rune deposit required upfront."

Luo Wei also picked up a dozen gems for Xiaoshi Root, rounding the total to one hundred runes after accounting for the deposit. After paying, he left.

Once home, Luo Wei continued practicing the creation of the Talent Mixture, determined to ensure nothing would go wrong.

---

One month later.

Luo Wei finally received his dragon leather armor from the Norvi Magic Shop.

Because it was crafted based on Haldo's measurements, the armor looked oversized on Luo Wei, with the sleeves and trouser legs hanging awkwardly.

The dragon-skin helmet didn't fit snugly either, dangling loosely on his head.

Standing before a mirror, Luo Wei examined himself from every angle, then resorted to tying parts of the armor with rope to achieve a barely acceptable fit.

As for the helmet, he wore another cap underneath to stabilize it.

Although the fit was far from ideal, the appearance of the dragon leather armor was outstanding—simple, powerful, and retaining the red dragon's flame-like coloration and the unique skin texture of a giant dragon.

Functionally, after a series of magical treatments, the dragon skin had become thinner yet even tougher, capable of withstanding ordinary Asgardian weapons and offering extraordinary resistance to magical attacks.

"I just hope after using the Talent Mixture, my body matches this armor…" Luo Wei muttered.

Dressed fully in the dragon armor, Luo Wei summoned Shilute and, stone by stone, passed through the island's backdoor portal into Vanaheim. From there, he made his way toward the Garkan warehouse to rent a swamp monster.

"Hoo-ho!"

Unexpectedly, as soon as he arrived at the warehouse, the swamp beasts nearby became restless, roaring and nearly causing chaos.

When Luo Wei approached a swamp behemoth, it quickly retreated.

"Roar—!"

"Stay calm!" the animal trainer shouted, tugging on the chains and soothing the beasts.

Luo Wei chuckled bitterly to himself. Apparently, the dragon armor had its drawbacks. Along the way, however, the armor had been incredibly helpful—no beasts, insects, or snakes had dared to approach, allowing him to sleep peacefully even in the heart of the wild forest.

Yet, now the swamp beasts were unsettled by the lingering dragon aura on the armor—posing a real inconvenience.

"Are you carrying dragon artifacts?" an experienced old animal trainer approached and asked.

"Yes," Luo Wei admitted.

Strictly speaking, he was clad head-to-toe in dragon products.

The old trainer's expression hardened. "Sorry, we can't rent a beast to you under these conditions. We must ask you to leave immediately, or we'll be forced to expel you."

Luo Wei had no choice but to leave, store the dragon armor back into the Sanctuary space, change into ordinary clothes, and return.

Without the oppressive dragon aura, he successfully rented a swamp behemoth and set off for Thunder Valley.

"A little Kronan?" the trainer pointed at Shilute and asked curiously.

Unable to explain Shilute's unique existence, Luo Wei simply nodded. "Yeah."

The trainer shook his head. "Trying to train a Kronan as a servant? I wouldn't recommend it. They're a naturally savage race."

Luo Wei merely smiled and said nothing.

---

Two days later, the swamp beast arrived at Thunder Valley.

"Boom…"

Thunder rumbled incessantly beneath a dark, oppressive sky.

Luo Wei instructed the trainer to wait and then led Shilute toward Thunder Mountain.

He didn't rush to pick fruit immediately. Instead, he focused on preparations.

Given the strict seven-day efficacy window of the Talent Mixture, Luo Wei had to concoct and consume the potion on-site after picking the Thunder Fruit. Otherwise, it would expire before he returned home.

Thus, Luo Wei needed to establish a stable residence near Thunder Valley.

After several days exploring Thunder Mountain, he finally found a suitable spot.

It lay halfway up the mountain, accessible only by a narrow path. Hidden and isolated, it was relatively safe from lightning strikes, as there were no visible charred marks from past strikes.

Moreover, the area was rich in high-quality stone. Shilute became ecstatic at the sight.

"嘤嘤嘤! 嘤嘤嘤!" Shilute squealed in delight.

"Don't worry," Luo Wei chuckled, picking him up. "I'll make sure you eat your fill. But first, we need to build a house."

With Shilute tucked under one arm, Luo Wei pointed to spots one after another. "Spray a wall here."

"Wow—"

A stream of debris spewed from Shilute's mouth, solidifying instantly into a sturdy stone wall.

"And here."

"Wow—"

Another torrent built another wall.

"And over there."

"Wow—"

Midway, Luo Wei even fed Shilute some extra stones to ensure he had enough material to continue.

After hours of hard work, man and stone beast completed a solid, durable stone house nestled into the mountainside.

Three rooms and one hall—sturdy and built to withstand even the fiercest storms.
