Her glyphs were complete now, seven in total, arranged in a perfect circle around her, each glowing with the dull, grounded light of earth-aligned mana.
She opened her eyes, and her voice rang out across the battlefield. Calm. Steady.
"Brace yourselves."
The moment the last syllable left her lips, the glyphs sank into the ground.
A pulse spread outward—a deep vibration that Julian felt in his bones more than he heard. The terrain shifted subtly beneath the turtle's feet. Its stance widened, sensing the tremor, but not in time.
Massive stone pillars erupted upward around it, angled to converge on its body like a cage.
One struck its rear leg, forcing the creature to stumble. Another scraped its shell, throwing it off balance. But the real damage came from the final two, which slammed inward at high speed, aiming for its sides.
