Chapter 111 - Chapter 111. Watch

"Boss, I want this, this, and that," George said, showing the manager the watch he wanted.

The manager looked at the items and frowned a little. "RM 056 Jean Todt Sapphire, $1,700,000; Patek Philippe Reference 1518 in Pink Gold, $3.9 million. That's a total of $5,600,000."

"Okay, boss," George replied.

"Boss, here, look. This and that are better, right? And this one too," Brent suggested.

"RM 52-03 Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) Tourbillon, price: $1,200,000, and JACOB & CO Twin Turbo Furious Sapphire Crystal, $1,500,000. A total of $2,700,000," the manager said, unable to hide his frown. Were they just messing with him? Buying watches as if they were normal purchases?

"Boss, I want this Hybris Mechanica a Grande Sonnerie and this Rolex Daytona White Gold 'Le Mans' Remi," George added.

"The Jaeger-LeCoultre is $2,500,000, and the Rolex is $306,600. A total of $2,806,600," the manager replied, reluctantly accepting their demands. If they couldn't pay, he could only blame himself for hoping too much.

"Boss, I want this Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle and the Patek Philippe Grand Complications Sky Moon Tourbillon," Tristan chimed in.

"$1,010,000 for the Vacheron and $1,794,000 for the Patek. That's a total of $2,804,000. Let me bring all of this first," the manager said, leaving to call someone for help with the watches they had requested.

"Hey, Hyung, Hoon, why are you just standing there? Hahaha, let me help you. You guys won't buy if we don't push for it," Neo exclaimed.

"This is not like those clothes, Neo. These watches are so expensive; don't include us anymore," Hoon said, waving his hands.

"We are already very thankful for the clothes and shoes you bought us; no need to add more," Hyung replied. Neo had already purchased clothes, shoes, and many other items for them.

"Hoon, no need to worry. Neo will cover for us. Think of it as a dream come true," George said.

"Let us help you," Remi offered, and the four boys began choosing watches for Hyung and Hoon.

Neo, sitting next to So-Hee, asked, "How about you, miss So-Hee? Have you picked what you want?"

"Hmm? Are you really buying me something like this? This is so expensive. I didn't even know watches could range like this," So-Hee said, looking at the papers listing the different watches and their prices.

"Buy as much as you want," Neo smiled and refocused his gaze on the brochure. He had already picked four watches but was still searching for something he wanted.

"Don't waste money, Neo. You're only in your early twenties. Money isn't well spent if you buy things like this," So-Hee advised. She was sure that Neo was a millionaire but thought he was just trying to impress her with such extravagant purchases.

"Let me help you. I saw many beautiful watches for girls like you," Neo offered.

"Okay. You pick for me then," So-Hee said, closing her brochure and leaning closer to Neo to look at the watch he was considering.

"How about this? I plan to buy another Rolex like this one. Let's match each other, hahaha," Neo pointed and laughed.

So-Hee smiled, looking at the watch he was pointing to and reading, "Patek Philippe Aquanaut Luce Rainbow Minutes Repeater Haute Joaillerie, $2,500,000! So expensive; there's no need to buy me that."

"Don't worry. Also, this one looks good on you," Neo replied.

"Jacob & Co. Caviar Emerald Tourbillon – $2,400,000! Neo, you don't need to impress me by buying such an expensive watch. Don't worry, I'll still go on a date with you!" So-Hee felt guilty; she couldn't shake the feeling that Neo was trying too hard to impress her with gifts. She already had a good impression of him, even though earlier, he had mentioned being a playboy.

"No worries, miss So-Hee! Money is the only thing I have right now to impress you, so why not use it, right? Hahaha!" replied Neo.

"You're so silly," So-Hee laughed.

"Sir, here's the watch you wanted. Take a look; all of these combined come to $13,831,000," the manager said.

"Just wait for my brother and Hyung to finish picking out their watches first, manager. We'll pay later after he's done; he's our financier for all these timepieces!" George said.

"By the way, boss, Hoon wants this Platinum Diamond Pearlmaster, and Hyung picked this Steve McQueen's Submariner," George continued.

"Both of those are Rolex. The first one is $277,850, and the second is $234,000. Hey, bring me those two items," the manager instructed his helper to retrieve the watches.

"Hey boss, can you also get this Jacob & Co. Caviar Emerald Tourbillon and the Patek Philippe Aquanaut Luce Rainbow Minute Repeater Haute Joaillerie? I think they would look great on Miss So-Hee, don't you think?" Neo asked the manager with a smile.

"Yes, sir. These two are some of the shop's most prized items. They're quite hard to come by. The Jacob & Co. is $2,400,000, and the Patek is $2,500,000. What about you, sir? Your watch is one of the rare RMs. The RM056 tourbillon chronograph sapphire," the manager replied, looking at Neo's watch.

"I don't know much about watches. I just buy what looks good. But I did pick a few items from your store, look." Neo showed the manager his selections, and the manager read them one by one:

"'Unicorn' Daytona Reference 6265 for $6,000,000. Rolex Daytona Rainbow reference 116595RBOW for $5,870,000. RM 50-04 Kimi Räikkönen Tourbillon Split-Seconds Chronograph for $2,641,000. RM 57-03 Dragon Sapphire NTPT Tourbillon for $3,992,000. Patek Philippe Sky Moon Tourbillon for $6,195,000. Jacob & Co. Billionaire Timeless Treasure for $20,000,000." Each time he announced a price, he paused and emphasized the amount.

"Sir, are you planning to purchase all of these items? Your friends have also ordered quite a few. If I'm calculating correctly, if we combine the watches you guys have asked me to bring, the total will be $64,020,450, sir." The manager wondered if they were serious or just playing around.

"Alright then. Here's my card. Can you pack everything we've bought?" I handed him my card, and the manager quickly checked to ensure it went through.

"Are you really going to spend that much? You really shouldn't spend money like there's no tomorrow, Neo," So-Hee advised.

"Don't worry, Miss So-Hee. Is there anything else you'd like to buy? We can take care of that after they finish packing the watches," I offered.

"No, I'm good for now. I was just testing you to see how far you would go for our date. But what you did far exceeded my expectations. Give me your phone, Neo," she said with a sweet smile. I handed her my phone without hesitation, and she wrote down her number.

"Here, this is my contact info. Message me when you decide where we'll go on our little date," she said.

"Hmm, are you leaving already? Wait for your watch before you go, Miss So-Hee; I already bought it for you!" Neo called as he walked back to the manager.

"Boss, please give me the two girls' watches," he asked. The manager handed him my card and the watches, his smile beaming. I could tell he was going to earn quite a commission from this transaction. George and the others were also inspecting their new watches.
