Glen lay still, staring at the unfamiliar ceiling. For the first time, he felt uneasy in a place he didn't recognize. Strange, considering he'd never once complained about sleeping under a sky full of stars, with nothing but grass beneath him. Yet now, after living in the breathtaking, advanced city of Urioil for two years, he couldn't say he felt proud.
Even after spending some time resting in his room, the discomfort didn't fade. Frustrated, he got up and stepped out, determined to find the room Etien usually used when staying in Urioil. Since Etien and Earl Reiner had known each other for ages, Glen was sure he had a designated space.
While wandering the halls, Glen caught sight of Etien strolling alongside Earl Reiner. Peering through the second-floor window, he saw them laughing, joking as they walked, though he had no clue where they had been. What stood out most was the bucket of fish in Reiner's hand, plenty of them, too.
"Did they go fishing?" Glen murmured to himself.
