Just as Hashirama Senju had felt, his abdomen had been pierced clean through by Madara Uchiha's Rasengan!

In theory, Hashirama's body—being the pinnacle of a Sage's physique—was incredibly resilient. How could it have been so easily penetrated?

The problem, however, lay in the fact that Hashirama was currently in the state of *Edo Tensei*, a technique that rendered his body immortal but not invincible.

The two stood frozen in this bizarre tableau.

Madara Uchiha lowered his head slightly to examine the gaping hole he had just punched through Hashirama's abdomen. The wound was transparent, with Madara's hand still lodged inside it. But because of the Edo Tensei's regenerative properties, the injury began to heal at an alarming rate, much like torn paper being pieced back together. Judging by the speed of recovery, it wouldn't take long for Hashirama to fully mend himself.

Without hesitation, Madara retracted his hand and immediately formed another Rasengan, aiming straight for Hashirama's head.

Reacting swiftly, Hashirama executed a quick hand seal. Instantly, several resilient trees erupted from the ground behind Madara, wrapping tightly around his arms and immobilizing him.

But Madara wasn't one to be restrained so easily. With his free hand, he conjured yet another Rasengan, shattering the wooden bindings into splinters.

However, even this brief moment of distraction gave Tobirama Senju—the Second Hokage—an opening.

Using the *Flying Thunder God Technique* (Hiraishin) seal he had discreetly placed on Hashirama earlier, Tobirama teleported directly in front of Madara. In an instant, he performed the necessary hand seals.

"Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet!"

This was one of Tobirama's signature water-based techniques. A massive surge of water gathered around him, forming a lifelike dragon that charged ferociously toward Madara.

Without missing a beat, Madara countered with his Rasengan. The collision caused the water dragon to explode into fragments.

But Tobirama wasn't aiming to deal damage—he was buying time. Utilizing his unparalleled mobility granted by the Flying Thunder God Technique, he quickly pulled Hashirama away from the battlefield.

As they retreated, Tobirama glanced worriedly at his older brother. "Big Brother, are you alright?"

Despite the severity of his injuries, Hashirama managed a genuine smile. "I'll live. Thanks to the Edo Tensei, my body will recover. Still, I underestimated Madara. His mastery over Lightning Release is impressive enough, but his Wind Release… Those instantaneous wind techniques seem to operate on principles akin to the Tailed Beast Bomb…"

"Brother, now isn't the time to dwell on that!" Tobirama interrupted sharply. Suddenly, a flash of blue light appeared in his peripheral vision—it was Madara, closing in rapidly using his *Lightning Flash Movement*. Tobirama hastily dragged his brother out of harm's way, relying on his own mastery of the Body Flicker Technique to narrowly avoid the attack.

Madara, now surrounded by crackling electricity, zipped past Hashirama's recovering form and turned his attention to both Senju brothers.

On the sidelines, Tobirama grew visibly impatient. "Brother, let me get you somewhere safe. We need to retreat for now."

"No," Hashirama replied firmly. "Though my body is temporarily incapacitated while healing, I can still use ninjutsu. *Wood Release: Wooden Clone Jutsu!*"

Under Madara's watchful gaze, Hashirama created countless wooden clones. These constructs transformed into perfect replicas of Hashirama upon leaving his body. They scattered across the battlefield, surrounding Madara from all sides.

Madara came to a halt, surveying the encirclement with an impassive expression. "A numbers game, huh? It's a cliché strategy, but admittedly, it's effective given the circumstances."

Surrounded by Hashirama's clones, each one began performing hand seals and unleashing a barrage of Wood Release techniques:

"*Wood Release: Thorny Killing Intent!*"

"*Wood Release: Eternal Tree Coffin!*"

"*Wood Release: Great Buddha Palm!*"

With each shout, the battlefield erupted into chaos. Sharp wooden spikes erupted from the ground, resilient trees coiled around Madara, and enormous wooden hands reached out to crush him. The sky above was nearly obscured by the overwhelming density of Wood Release techniques converging on Madara.

Standing calmly amidst the onslaught, Madara cracked his neck nonchalantly. "To be honest, I must've been out of my mind earlier. While Lightning Release is my forte, it's not particularly efficient against Wood Release. As expected, the sharpest Wind Release works best here. And fortunately, I've always had a knack for Wind Release…"

With that, Madara formed a series of hand seals. "*Wind Release: Threaded Blades!*"

Upon completing the seals, Madara extended his fingers, drawing forth ten translucent threads of chakra. At first glance, these threads resembled those used by puppeteers to control their puppets. However, these were composed of razor-sharp Wind Release chakra, imbued with unparalleled cutting power.

Madara flicked his fingers, sending the deadly threads slicing through the air with barely audible whistles. Within moments, every single one of Hashirama's incoming Wood Release attacks froze mid-motion before shattering into pieces with a cacophony of cracks.

While Wind Release lacked the visual flair of Lightning Release, its sheer destructive capability was unmatched. The severed edges of the wooden constructs gleamed smoothly, almost polished, as if they had been meticulously refined over decades.

Hashirama's wooden clones stared dumbfounded. What had just happened? One moment, their jutsu seemed unstoppable; the next, everything was sliced apart without warning.

Madara sneered, snapping his index finger. A translucent thread of Wind Release wrapped itself around the neck of one of Hashirama's clones. "Never seen Wind Release before?"

With a sharp tug, the thread sliced cleanly through the clone's neck. Its head detached silently, falling to the ground as the clone reverted to its original state—a mere block of wood.
