As Indie rambled on and on about the master of the whatever she called it earlier, I couldn't help but think about the master Xaphan who she said was my father.
If he really was my father, was he even making any efforts to find out if my mother was alive or not? I was sure he knew she was pregnant already as at the time Dovan's father infiltrated his abode and kidnapped my mother.
Even though he was in hideout in the den of Lucifer himself, I was certain he would have heard about his death... Why then did he not come, for her, for me?
"Serena?"
I jerked up almost stumbling to the ground. "Yes." I said and looked at her.
She frowned. "Did you even heard a word I said?"
I chuckled nervously and rubbed my palm together. "I think I heard the part where you said, 'the faster I mastered my powers and bring balance to the supernatural world, the sooner I get to go back to my mate.'
She nodded. "Exactly."
