Chapter 132 - Chapter 132: Long Time No See, My Sunshine

"You cannot leave yet."

Yin lowered his gaze to look at her and said flatly, "You may leave after tonight's matters are settled."

As he spoke, he took a mask from his storage pouch and handed it to her. "Wear this. You may go once the unification of the Dracula clan is complete."

He had to ensure the success of the unification. After all, the prophecy only mentioned the girl with the Samadhi True Flame—there was no mention of Su Qiluo.

Although Su Qiluo was helping him tonight, he could not help but worry. Prophecies were not to be defied—this was a deep-rooted belief of the vampire race.

Hearing this, Mu Qingyun was puzzled, but she saw no need to argue over something like this.

She took the mask and casually placed it on the table.

Once Yin left, she walked to the window, grasped the curtain, and gave it a sharp tug.

Sunlight poured through the window, falling warmly across her face.

Long time no see, my sunshine.

By evening, Mu Qingyun arrived at the banquet hall wearing the mask.

All the vampires had gathered here. After all, Yin had declared that he had discovered the true culprit behind Prince Lester's murder.

Finding an inconspicuous seat, she sat down leisurely, waiting to watch how this drama would end.

Before long, Yin appeared.

Behind him, Su Qiluo and Prince Brawer were brought in, both bound.

Trailing behind them were dukes, marquises, and earls from various factions, all wearing similarly grim expressions, as if everything had been prearranged.

"Let me go! I was framed! I was framed!" Prince Brawer struggled violently, clearly unwilling to accept what was happening.

But the others ignored him completely, focusing solely on following Yin forward.

The vampires gathered in the hall exchanged bewildered glances. No one understood how the situation had taken such a turn.

Was the truth behind Prince Lester's death not already uncovered? Why was Prince Brawer bound as well?

The more curious they grew, the more they whispered amongst themselves.

Down below, discussions began to erupt. Brawer continued to struggle, now cursing at Yin openly.

"Everyone," a marquis loyal to Lester stepped forward and announced, "we have a video that will help clarify things."

Upon hearing this, an earl from Brawer's side sighed and shook his head helplessly.

The marquis ordered the projector turned on, and a video was displayed on the wall.

It was a "confession" from Su Qiluo—or rather, Sino.

In the video, Su Qiluo wore a mask, reciting the carefully crafted narrative he and Yin had rehearsed.

The content was straightforward: Prince Lester was murdered by Prince Brawer. Sino had witnessed the incident, but Brawer had threatened him to keep silent—promising to make him the new Prince Lester in return for his silence.

The footage cut to another video.

This one showed several dukes, along with Yin, breaking into Prince Brawer's room. There, they found a handkerchief—stuffed into a seam of the fabric—which had once belonged to Mu Qingyun.

"Upon investigation, we discovered a dagger was used to destroy the elevator's surveillance system," the marquis explained. "That dagger belonged to the late Prince Lester. Traces of this same cloth were found on it."

He held up the handkerchief, now sealed in a plastic evidence bag, for everyone to see.

"The trace was faint, but it was enough for us to identify."

"Lies!" Brawer roared upon seeing the footage and the damning evidence. He glared fiercely at Su Qiluo. "Why are you framing me?!"

"Prince Lester treated me well. I could not bear to keep covering for you. My conscience would not allow it," Su Qiluo responded with feigned guilt, voice subdued and low.

"Shut up! Framing me does not benefit you! You will die too! What did Ancestor promise you?!"

"I have nothing to do with him," Yin spoke calmly from above. "You were the one who strongly backed Sino to become the new Prince Lester. Given your lack of a close relationship, why support him so suddenly?"

"I..."

Words caught in Brawer's throat, and he fell silent.

The truth was simple—he had supported Sino because he sensed both Yin and Sino harbored feelings for that slave. He merely wanted to choose someone who would be at odds with Yin.

Besides, with Lester gone, Yin had only one clear rival left—himself. How could he not plan ahead?

But he could not say any of this aloud. If he did, it would be tantamount to declaring open rebellion. Yin could then accuse him of fracturing the Dracula clan.

Dead either way.

"Hahaha! Prince Ancestor, what a brilliant move you have made!" Brawer laughed bitterly now that the full picture was clear.

He no longer questioned why Sino made this decision—it no longer mattered. Yin's trap had been flawlessly set.

"But I do want to know—are you a man or a woman?" Brawer sneered. "How do you possess such power of persuasion that Sino would rather die than stop lying for you?"

"There is both witness and evidence. Prince Brawer has harmed his kin, remains unrepentant, and has threatened others. According to Dracula law—he shall be crucified and executed," Yin announced the sentence calmly, unbothered by Brawer's insults.

The nobles once loyal to Brawer had no choice but to submit. Though unwilling, they dared not resist.

They knew the truth—Brawer and Lester had once been allies. So how did things descend into murder?

Clearly, this was Yin's doing.

But Yin was not only powerful—he was cunning.

It was best to obey. It did not matter who they served; challenging Yin would only lead to ruin.

If Mu Qingyun and Su Qiluo had heard their thoughts, they would have secretly laughed.

This time, Yin was wrongly accused. He would never harm a fellow clan member in such a way—otherwise, the Dracula clan would not have remained divided for so long.

In the end, it was Brawer and Lester's own greed that destroyed them. Had they not been consumed by ambition, they would not have fallen so easily.

With the nobles in agreement, the lower-ranked vampires had no objections either.

Seeing no hope of salvation, Prince Brawer gave up entirely and began to spew all the bitterness he had kept hidden for years—

"Ancestor, I have hated you for so long. You stubborn bastard, how have you lived this long? Lester and I tried so many times to bring you down, and you survived every time.

Oh, and remember that prophecy? One of you and your brother must die. I have not seen your brother in years.

You cold-blooded, heartless creature—do you see your brother's ghost at night in your dreams?

Hahaha!"
