Janice depressedly sat back in her seat. Yvonne had promised to come, but now those plans had fallen through.
Feeling she was a bit down, Benjamin asked, "Is anything wrong?"
Janice answered, "Nothing. Yvonne told me she couldn't come. Have you ordered yet?"
Then Janice picked up the menu.
Hearing this, Benjamin was secretly a little gratified.
He wanted to be alone with Janice.
Benjamin casually ordered a few dishes. As for Janice, she had no appetite at all, so she didn't order much.
While waiting for the dishes, the silent atmosphere was especially awkward. Benjamin broke the silence by saying, "Janice, how have you been for the past three years?"
