Seeing her so hesitant, Christopher roughly understood what she wanted to say. He put down the things in his hands, turned around, and slowly hugged her. "Janice, I said I would wait for you."
His eyes were as soft as the warm sun in winter.
Janice was touched.
"Thank you, Christopher."
She could not help but reach out to hug him tightly.
Christopher gently patted her back.
"Well, go wash your face and brush your teeth. We're ready for breakfast."
Then Janice let go of him and walked towards the bathroom.
At the dining table, while Janice was eating breakfast, she thought of what had happened yesterday. She looked up and asked Christopher, "By the way, how would you know that I mistook the wrong person?"
Last night, she felt that there was something strange but she didn't ask because Christopher was drunk.
Christopher paused for a moment, then said, "I guessed it."
"You guessed it?"
