Tang Xiaomi sat up and asked "Is that sister of yours named Xia Kuimu?"
Xia Qianyu replied "I have three older sisters but yes, my immediate elder sister is Xia Kuimu who is currently a disciple of this sect, how do you know her name?"
Tang Xiaomi said "Yu Gege told us about her and how she's betrothed to one of his older brothers"
Tang Xie'er asked with confusion "Wait, if your sister is betrothed to his brother, surely you two should have met sometimes when you were younger"
Xia Qianyu shook his head "Prince Ning wasn't really let out of his courtyard at all. I only saw a glimpse of him from afar once when me and my sisters went to the palace"
Tang Xi'an sighed "Caiyu Ge was truly maltreated when he was younger"
The other three nodded and started talking about other things
And on the duo side, Tang Xilong was still fuming and Ning Caiyu was wondering why then he decided to break the silence "Xilong Ge, why are you still upset, even I have forgotten about it by now. She apologized too"
Tang Xilong shook his head "Am not angry about that. It's just... nothing"
Ning Caiyu said as he placed his hand on Tang Xilong's shoulder "What's wrong? You can tell me. You know a problem said is a problem solved"
Tang Xilong then turned to him "Why?"
Ning Caiyu asked "Why what?"
Tang Xilong removed the hand from his shoulder "Why are you being so nice to me?"
Ning Caiyu smiled "Cause you saved my life twice. You're the only reason I am still breathing right now. I owe you everything, my life and me"
Tang Xilong sighed and muttered "Maybe it was a big mistake doing that."
Ning Caiyu's eyes dimmed a little then he sniffed and said as he closed his eyes "If you think so, you can just kill me now and wipe this mistake off your conscience"
Tang Xilong looked at the boy then looked around and put an illusion over them so to others, they were just talking. Then he grabbed Ning Caiyu's neck as he lifted him off the ground and took him behind the tree they were sitting by
Ning Caiyu tried his best to not scream as the spirit fire burnt his neck 'Damnit, I never thought it would hurt like this. Anyhow, Xilong Ge gave me life and he can take it back since he wants to then I'll wait for him in the after life and we can become friends again. I'll miss the others though but we might meet next life so no biggie'
Tang Xilong released him then Ning Caiyu backed up against the tree and gasped for air then touched his neck as Tang Xilong said "Sadly, my conscience doesn't allow me to kill you so I'll just bear with you till I die since I already wasted so much pills on you"
Ning Caiyu asked as he felt a mark on his neck "Then what is this mark on my neck?"
Tang Xilong said as he looked away "Nothing. That mark is the same as my birthmark, a chrysanthemum"
Ning Caiyu coughed lightly while blushing "Why didn't you just tell me. I really thought you were gonna kill me, I was already preparing to wait a long time in the afterlife"
Tang Xilong raised his eyebrows "Wait a long time for what? Don't people just walk on the Bridge of Forsake when they die then start living their next life?"
Ning Caiyu blushed and said nothing then went back to where they were before
Tang Xilong watched the boy go away in confusion 'What's with him?'
Ning Caiyu happily touched the mark on his neck then realized something and asked Tang Xilong who had sat back down "Ehnn, wait why did you make the mark on my neck?"
Tang Xilong rolled his eyes "What? Should I have marked your whole body instead?"
Ning Caiyu's eyes went wide and he shook his head "W-what? No! Of course not. Am only saying that it's a bit embarrassing on the neck since it's red and small like a uhh h-hickey. People will misunderstand"
Tang Xilong's face turned slightly red as he replied "W-well you'll figure that out. It's your neck"
Ning Caiyu pouted "And it's your mark. Why didn't you just use a knife or my dagger to do it?"
Tang Xilong looked away "I don't know how to do that"
Ning Caiyu sighed "Do you have a scarf or something I can wrap around my neck?"
Tang Xilong replied "Why would I have a scarf when I am not a girl."
Ning Caiyu shook his head and moved part of his hair forward to cover the mark "There, that's better"
Tang Xilong mumbled with dissatisfaction "I made it on the neck to admire my work"
Ning Caiyu giggled "You can see it as much as you want when we are not in public"
Tang Xilong shrugged "No need, I know it's there and that's enough for me"
Ning Caiyu looked around and asked "Why does everywhere seem a little blurry except you?"
Tang Xilong cancelled the illusion and everything became normal then he asked with surprise "You can see it?"
Ning Caiyu was confused "See what?"
Tang Xilong said "The blurry cover over everything you saw, you can see it?"
Ning Caiyu nodded "Yea, it was very obvious when I looked away from you"
Tang Xilong was shocked and thought 'No one could see the illusion when I casted it whether they were outside or inside. It looked normal to them so how can he see it?'
Ning Caiyu inquisitively asked "So what was it tho?"
Tang Xilong said as he laid down to sleep "I'll tell you tomorrow"
Ning Caiyu was puzzled but agreed anyways
The next day after they had all had breakfast from the meat Tang Xie'er went to catch the night before.
Xia Qianyu and Tang Xie'er watched as the girls played together while Tang Xilong and Ning Caiyu went to another tree
Then Ning Caiyu asked again "So you were gonna tell me something yesterday?"
Tang Xilong sighed "Illusion that I casted"
Ning Caiyu nodded "Oh, Illusion... Ehnn, wait, you casted it? That means..."
Tang Xilong replied "Yes, I am in possession of not only one but two forbidden elements"
Ning Caiyu was shaken as he stared at Tang Xilong with shock "T-two f-forbidden.. elements.. b-but only evil sorcerers use forbidden elements because they can't cultivate at all. So why are you using forbidden elements when you're so talented?"
Tang Xilong rolled his eyes "I was born with them, what do you expect me to do? Seal it so I can't use it and no one finds out?"
Ning Caiyu replied with a bit of anger "Yes! That's exactly what you should have done"
Tang Xilong glared at him "So? Are you gonna make me? But I don't want to do that"
Ning Caiyu sighed "If you keep using it like this and someone finds out. Everyone will know and they will be after your life. Why don't you want to seal it? It's the right thing, Using forbidden elements is even worse than being a devilkin and you're both"
Tang Xilong scoffed as he stood up and walked away "Right thing my foot. I'm not sealing it and you can't make me"
Ning Caiyu went after him and pulled his sleeve then he shouted at him with tears in his eyes "Why don't you want to!"
Tang Xilong snatched his sleeve from him as he shouted back "Cause it's the only memory of my mother!!"
Ning Caiyu was astounded as he stood there with tears welling up in his eyes and Tang Xilong glared at him with a mix of anger, disappointment and pain
Some people were starting to look towards their side then some of them came over and one of them asked "Yo, is this devilkin bothering you?"
Tang Xilong scoffed "Piss off, idiot. None of your business"
The guy pointed at Tang Xilong and said "Y-you! Who are you calling an idiot?"
Ning Caiyu wiped his face "He isn't bothering me"
The guy nodded then the cultivators left them alone and as Ning Caiyu was about to say something
Someone called out with fury "Ning Caiyu! You bastard!!"
When everyone looked towards the voice, a strong purple whip struck at Ning Caiyu who didn't have anytime to react and closed his eyes while covering his face but after a while, he didn't feel anything so he opened his eyes only to see Tang Xilong standing in front of him gritting his teeth with blood dripping from the side of his mouth
Tang Xilong thought as the whip left a bloody injury on his back 'Damnit, I didn't think it would hurt this much'
Ning Caiyu realized that Tang Xilong had taken the hit for him and tears welled up in his eyes again then Tang Xilong spoke up as a robe appeared in his hand then he wore it to cover the injury "Don't cry in public, you're a man"
The other four came over and Xia Qianyu said "You shouldn't have worn a robe on that kind of injury, it will melt against it and will hurt even more when you're about to treat it"
Then the attacker, a girl with jet black hair and black eyes walked towards them with a furious look "Ning Caiyu, you bastard. Where have you been for the past few days? I don't care if you were missing or died but the teacher just had to ask about you like you were even something important and it freaking pissed me off! But here you are, having fun with these devilkins! As a royal, you're not supposed to mingle with this devilkins at all so come back with me and receive your punishment for skipping classes to hang out with friends outside the sect"
Ning Caiyu thought about the fact that she had injured Tang Xilong then hollered "Piss off! Ning Shixin!"
Everyone was shocked and most especially Ning Shixin who was about to attack again "What did you just say? Did you just call me by my name?"
When she was about to bring out her whip, a Devil Spirit Fire appeared in front of her then she stumbled back and stared at Tang Xilong who glared back forewarning "Just try me"
Then she let go of the whip and tried to grab Ning Caiyu who dodged her grip "Oh so you're not coming with me then? Fine I'll report your disrespect and willfulness to the teacher. Let's see if you can treat her like you treated me"
Ning Shixin scanned all their faces and stormed off back into the sect
Ning Caiyu lost balance but Tang Xilong caught him then Tang Xiaomi said with tears in her eyes "Xi Gege, your back must be hurting a lot. What to do? There's no medicine for blood stopping and healing here. Xi Gege..."
Tang Xilong patted her head "Don't worry, I'll be fine. Go to sleep and when you wake up, I'll be as good as new"
Tang Xiaomi cried as she slept off then Tang Xie'er carried her and went to the tree to place her down and watch over her
Xia Qianyu asked with worry while Tang Xi'an was fidgeting anxiously "Xilong, will you be alright?"
Tang Xilong nodded "This injury's nothing. Go and stay with those two. And Xi'an, don't be a worrywart, I'll be fine"
Tang Xi'an nodded as she pulled Xia Qianyu away "Xi Gege, I trust you"
Tang Xilong then took Ning Caiyu to a tree to rest against and he grinned "Way to stand up to your sister, Caiyu. You impressed me, hehe"
Ning Caiyu replied with tears falling from his eyes "Why are you laughing? You have such a big injury on your back! Shixin Jie's whip is a fifth grade weapon and it was barb-like thorns at its tip. It tore against your skin and must hurt like crazy so why are you laughing!!"
Tang Xilong chuckled as he grinned then turned his back to Ning Caiyu as he took the robe off to his waist "No wonder it could hurt me but I'm alright now, seriously"
Ning Caiyu was astounded as the injury had disappeared and only the torn clothes was proof that there was actual injury there "H-how?"
Tang Xilong wore the robe back and sat beside Ning Caiyu "I forgot to tell you my body heals faster than normal people"
Ning Caiyu punched his chest "You should have told me earlier, I was so worried for nothing"
Tang Xilong smiled as he closed his eyes to sleep
Ning Caiyu pouted as he muttered 'Bully'
Tang Xilong laughed as he thought 'The rest of my life won't be so lonely with my companions by my side'
Later that evening, Tang Xiaomi woke up and immediately said "Where's Xi Gege?"
Tang Xi'an pointed towards the two who are talking by the tree opposite then Tang Xiaomi ran towards them while the three followed her
Tang Xiaomi bent down "Xi Gege, how's your injury? Are you better now?"
Tang Xilong patted her head and showed her his back "I told you I'd be fine when you took a nap and woke up"
Tang Xiaomi nodded and wiped the tears from her eyes then said while smiling "Then I'll sleep and wake up more then"
They all laughed when she said that and she hugged Tang Xilong and Ning Caiyu then said "Am very happy that Xi Gege and Yu Gege are alright"
They both looked at each other then smiled. Tang Xiaomi fell asleep in Ning Caiyu's arms
Ning Caiyu spoke up "Sometimes, I feel like she's just a baby that needs to be taken care of"
The other three had already gone back to their tree and were chatting
Tang Xilong coughed slightly and looked away "Ahem, she is"
Ning Caiyu nodded with a smile "I know"
Tang Xilong stared at him with surprise "How?"
Ning Caiyu explained how he found out then Tang Xilong laughed "You sly fox"
Ning Caiyu pouted "I am not sly but will she pass the tests?"
Tang Xilong nodded "No need to worry about that, I have got it covered"
The next day which was the last day of the test, a few disciples came out to arrange tables and chairs outside of the gate then placed two crystal balls on a cushion onto the table then two elders and two inner disciples came out from the sect
The inner disciples sat down as the two elders spoke with each other
One of them said "Elder Yin, you're the one who brought them here so you're not supposed to be here for this test, you know that"
Yin Yunyang laughed "Don't worry, Elder Kun, I'm only here to bring someone in"
Kun Qiling replied "Then you should have come earlier to bring him before the test and since I am here, he still has to take the test before you take him"
Yin Yunyang nodded "I know and I want him to take the test before I bring him in. If he doesn't pass the age test, I have to kill him"
Kun Qiling asked "So which of them is the one you want to bring in?"
Yin Yunyang pointed over to the person and told Kun Qiling his name
Kun Qiling nodded "So all of you that are here will have to undergo two more tests to officially be a member of our All The Way Sect"
The cultivators started muttering "Damnit, how many tests do we have to go through"
One of them said "The Island test is the general common one and we know the second test was just to test our prowess but what the heck are two more freaking tests for"
Kun Qiling said "Many of you might be wondering what these tests are for so let me explain it. The blue crystal is for the bone age test to tell your true age and if you're older or younger than the age requirements then you're dismissed. The green crystal is for cultivation level test and you'll be allocated to which part of the sect you ought to be sent to. This test wasn't included before but we found out that some people were stronger than what they actually say they were so they could stay in the outer sect and be the strongest to bully weaker ones instead of going to the inner sect and learn properly also many deaths have come from this"
Ning Caiyu looked at Tang Xilong who said "Don't worry, I'll be with you in the outer sect until you're able to get into the inner sect"
Tang Xiaomi said "Family sticks together, Xi Gege and Yu Gege, you two must wait for us too"
Ning Caiyu patted her head with a smile "Don't worry, we will so we can all stay together"
Tang Xilong scrunched up his face 'Damnit'
