The morning sun barely reached the ground. Thick black clouds covered the sky above the Ruins of the Forgotten, making the jungle look lifeless and cold. The chirping of birds had stopped. Even the wind had become quiet.
Chirag stood at the center of the ruins with his team, their eyes sharp and focused. The silence around them wasn't peaceful—it was warning them that something was coming.
They had prepared everything. Traps powered by light magic were hidden in the trees. Protective shields surrounded their base camp. They had even placed special crystals to sense dark energy. Still, something didn't feel right.
"Why hasn't Zheron attacked yet?" asked Maya, looking around.
Chirag didn't answer. His thoughts were deep. He knew Zheron was a clever enemy. He wouldn't attack without a plan. He wanted to strike when it would hurt the most.
That made Chirag worry. Not for himself, but for Siya.

Siya's Challenge
Far away, at the Temple of Serenity, Siya and her team were facing a different kind of problem. The temple stood tall on a peaceful hill, surrounded by soft winds and shining light, but now that light was fading.
One of the temple guards rushed toward Siya. "The balance inside the temple is breaking," he said, out of breath. "People nearby are starting to feel strange—angry, scared, confused."
Siya stepped inside the temple with her team. The glowing crystal at its center, which kept people's emotions in balance, was turning gray.
"He's affecting this too," Siya said. "Zheron is using fear to weaken the temple."
"But he hasn't even stepped here," said a monk.
"He doesn't need to," Siya replied. "His presence alone is strong enough now."
Siya closed her eyes and placed her hand on the crystal. "I need silence," she said. Her voice was calm but full of power.
She focused her energy, sending pure feelings of love, kindness, and hope into the crystal. Slowly, the gray turned white again. The monks watched in awe.
"You're more than a demon," one of them whispered. "You're a healer of hearts."
Siya opened her eyes. "No. I'm someone who knows how dangerous darkness can be."

Back at the Ruins
Meanwhile, Chirag's crystal glowed. It was Siya. He picked it up.
"Chirag," she said, "Zheron's fear energy reached the Temple. He's growing stronger. Be careful."
"Are you alright?" he asked.
"Yes. But I had to use a lot of my power to stop the fear."
Chirag frowned. "Don't push yourself too much. I'll handle it here."
Before Siya could answer, the ground under Chirag's feet shook. A loud rumble echoed through the jungle. Trees cracked. The dark mist in the air thickened.
"He's coming," Chirag whispered.

The First Strike
From the forest, black figures stepped out—shaped like humans, but made of shadows. Their eyes glowed red. They didn't speak. They didn't make a sound. They just ran forward—fast.
"Defense positions!" Chirag shouted.
Maya and others raised shields. Arrows made of light flew through the air, striking some of the shadow creatures. But they kept coming.
Chirag formed fireballs in both hands and jumped into the front. He moved quickly, burning through shadows, using his full strength.
Behind him, warriors held the line.
But the shadows didn't stop.
"They're endless!" shouted a soldier.
"No," Chirag yelled. "They're not real. These are only fragments—illusions made from fear. Focus your minds!"
Maya realized it too. She closed her eyes and cast a mental barrier spell. The shadows around her disappeared like smoke.
"They disappear if we stop being afraid!" she shouted.
The team joined in, using calm thoughts, light magic, and teamwork to push the shadows back. After what felt like hours, the jungle went quiet again.
They had won the first fight—but just barely.

Zheron's Voice Returns
As the team caught their breath, a cold wind blew across the ruins. It carried a voice.
"You're clever, Chirag. But not clever enough."
Zheron's voice echoed from the trees. "This was just the beginning. Soon, I won't need shadows. I'll come myself."
Chirag stood firm. "Then I'll be ready."
Zheron laughed. "You think love will protect you? You think your bond with the Demon Princess is strong enough to stop me?"
"It already has," Chirag replied.
The voice vanished.
Maya walked to Chirag. "He's trying to break you."
"He's trying to break all of us," Chirag said. "But we won't let him."

Kael's Discovery
In the Northern Storm Caverns, Kael's team was studying energy patterns in the clouds. The wind was too fast, too wild. Something was building.
"We found markings on the cave walls," said a scout. "They match ancient demon symbols—older than time."
Kael read them. "These are warnings… about Zheron."
The markings said:
> "He was once the Sky's Child, turned into Darkness by the thirst for control. The gods feared him, but could not destroy him. Only unity can seal him again."
Kael looked at the sky.
"We need everyone to stand together," he said. "Even the gods must return."

Rivan's Battle Below
At the Molten Lands, Rivan's team was dealing with something worse than shadows—lava beasts.
Zheron had corrupted fire itself. The ground cracked and exploded. Creatures made of molten rock rose and attacked.
"Focus on their cores!" Rivan shouted, swinging his crystal hammer.
His earth element created walls to protect his team. They fought with grit, slowly beating back the beasts.
But something worried Rivan more.
The volcano at the center of the land was waking up.
"If Zheron controls this mountain," he muttered, "he could destroy the world from below."

Chirag's Plan
After the first attack, Chirag gathered his team.
"This was a test," he said. "Zheron wanted to see if fear still controlled us."
"But we passed," Maya said.
"Barely," Chirag replied. "And next time, he won't send shadows. He'll come himself."
"So what now?" a warrior asked.
Chirag looked at the ruins.
"We strengthen our defenses. We call back our scouts. And we prepare for the real battle."
He picked up his crystal.
"Siya," he said, "Get ready. The time has come."
