Chapter 265 Nurturing life to atone for sins
The scene before them was so shocking that even Thor, who had been re-qualified and was previously unstoppable, halted in his tracks. It wasn't until Hyperion bumped into him from behind that Thor snapped out of his daze.
"What's going on?" Hyperion asked, puzzled. Being blind, he had no idea what had just transpired.
However, his other senses hadn't registered any visual information. He could hear, though, that the once chaotic Space had suddenly become eerily silent. So quiet, in fact, that he could only hear the sound of his and Thor's breathing.
"Brother, I honestly don't know how to describe it to you," Thor finally managed to say after a long pause.
"Then let him see for himself."
A peculiar Sound echoed, as if multiple voices spoke in unison, yet it wasn't chaotic. The words were remarkably clear, as if directly imprinted into their minds.
The Sound was utterly unfamiliar, yet Thor instinctively knew its Master. It was the profound and sacred Figure. He saw that the Figure had turned to face him and Hyperion, pure white Eyes fixed upon them both.
"What do you mean?" Thor asked, a slight frown creasing his brow. Even though this being had just annihilated countless Beyonders, Thor felt no fear, and instead engaged him in conversation.
However, before Thor could get clarification, Hyperion behind him exclaimed in Shock. "My Eyes?"
Thor turned back, surprised to see that Hyperion's eye sockets, which had been a bloody, blurred mess of mincemeat, were now full again. His eyelids opened, revealing intact eyeballs resting in their sockets.
"Your Eyes are healed? When did this happen?" Thor asked, astonished.
"I don't know either," Hyperion said, scanning his surroundings. "When I came to, it was already like this. Thor, your Left Hand!"
"My Left Hand?" Thor subconsciously glanced at where his Severed Hand had been, only to see a completely restored arm.
Thor stared at his Left Hand, which he didn't even realize had grown back, and gently flexed it a few times. If he hadn't just felt the excruciating Pain moments ago, he would have sworn the Severed Hand had been nothing more than an illusion.
"Do you like it?" Yang Le, now in the form of Alien X, had appeared beside them without either of them noticing. "It should be just like it was before."
"Who are you?" Hyperion demanded, adopting a Battle Form, but Thor quickly intervened.
"Easy, brother," Thor said, using his newly restored Left Hand to restrain Hyperion. "He's the one who healed our injuries and eliminated that horde of Beyonders."
"Annihilate them?" Alien X shook his head. "I merely transformed them into one of the countless Planets within this Universe. Since they sought to destroy the Multiverse and treat Life as a Toy, let them atone by nurturing Life and bearing Life."
As Alien X spoke, he raised his Right Hand. Floating above it was a blue Sphere, roughly the size of a handball. However, with Thor's vast experience, it was immediately clear that it was a genuine Planet.
"It looks just like Midgard (Earth) from long ago," Thor remarked, a hint of nostalgia in his voice. Earth in its prime was as beautiful as the Planet Alien X held.
"This Planet is now like Earth in ancient times." As Alien X spoke, he gently pushed the Planet forward. It drifted away at a Speed visible to the naked eye, slowly receding until it vanished from their Line of Sight.
"Once it reaches a suitable Place, it will come to rest and then slowly, steadily, grow and flourish," Alien X said softly.
Thor and Hyperion were speechless. Everything they had just witnessed was far beyond their scope of Awareness, especially for Thor, who had seen the entire process with his own restored Eyesight. They struggled to deal with even a single Beyonder, often sacrificing half their comrades in the process. Yet, Alien X had resolved tens of thousands of them with a mere glance, transforming them into a Planet.
"Just who are you?" Thor inquired. While this being had aided them greatly, it didn't clarify whether he was friend or foe.
"You can call me Alien X." Alien X replied, spreading his Hands slightly. "I am a Celestialsapien from the Cosmic Origin Land, a realm beyond all Multiverses."
"Celestialsapiens?" Hyperion murmured, his voice low. Truth be told, the Beyonders had given him a severe case of PTSD when it came to any God Race.
However, Hyperion had momentarily forgotten that his close comrade-in-arms, Thor, was also a member of a God Race – an Asgardian God from Asgard.
"There's no need to worry," Alien X said, seeing through Hyperion's thoughts. "We Celestialsapiens maintain a stance of neutrality and do not excessively interfere in the affairs of other Multiverses. Had it not been for the Beyonders' atrocities, you might never have known of our Existence."
Indeed, after extensive persuasion from Yang Le and Mamon, Oz had finally conceded to Yang Le's Suggestion: "Stop the Beyonders."
The full title was "Stop the Beyonders' Atrocities, with the option of forceful elimination when necessary, to restore the Multiverse." This Suggestion was now under the complete leadership of Yang Le. Unless absolutely necessary, the other two Consciousnesses would defer to Yang Le's direction.
It's safe to say that even against a God-Ghost Warrior, Yang Le could now defeat them. The current Yang Le was free from any internal Consciousness conflict, and was, for the moment, the apex of a Celestialsapien collective.
"Does this mean we've gained a powerful Ally?" Thor asked, a cheerful Smile spreading across his face. "I've been driven to exhaustion by those cowardly, underhanded vermin. Now, finally, I see a glimmer of Hope for a counterattack."
"More are coming," Hyperion suddenly warned. Actually, even before he spoke, Alien X had already sensed the uninvited guests. It wouldn't be accurate to say he knew they were coming from the start, more like he simply didn't care.
From the opened Space Crack, three Figures slowly materialized. Passing through the pure white Light Screen, three Creatures of similar stature, clad in silver-white Armor, appeared before them.
"More Beyonders," Thor said, disgust lacing his voice as he eyed the three Figures.
"These ones are… different from the others," Hyperion observed, his expression grim. He noticed that these three newly arrived Beyonders possessed parts that resembled Flesh and skin, unlike the previous Beyonders who were entirely composed of silver-white Metal.
"They are Ivory Kings," Alien X explained. "The apex of the Beyonders, much like you are to the Asgardian Gods."
"So, they're stronger than the Beyonders we just faced?" Thor asked, tightening his grip on his Battle Axe, though he remained fearless.
"To you, yes," Alien X replied in a tone devoid of emotion. "To me, there is little difference."
Alien X said nothing further, temporarily refraining from using his omniscient Ability. He wanted to observe what these Ivory Kings intended to do.
"Unknown God," one of the Ivory Kings spoke, his voice resonant. "Cease your interference with the Beyonders' grand Experiment, or you will come to regret the terrible fate that awaits you."
