"What happened?" Tara asked, staring at me.
I bit my lip as I paced in the dimmed room. I gripped my hair, trying to gather my thoughts. It could have gone wrong, Damon could have gotten hurt.
He did get hurt, it could have been so much worse. I failed to protect him, I should have known George would betray us.
"Fuck," I muttered.
"Mia, talk to me," Tara called.
Alan knew Niall didn't kill Lily. He was trying to find out her real killer, which meant he was getting closer to finding out who I really was. How could he be so sure Niall didn't kill Lily? Did Tony leave behind a clue? That didn't sound like him.
Maybe he messed up. Maybe he left something behind or maybe something
just went wrong. But then, Alan could find out it was Tony who killed Lily, and then my real identity would be exposed.
It was too soon. I needed to figure out a way out of this.
"Mia!" Tara hissed, but my thoughts drowned out her voice.
