The breeze in the streets of London carried a strange scent for someone like him. Not because it was unpleasant, but because every aroma spoke to him of life, death, and insignificance. Everything this world called "history" was nothing more than a whisper compared to the eternity he had known.

At first glance, no one would have distinguished him from an ordinary human. A tall young man with blond hair and pale blue eyes. But his blood was not of this world.

His name was Elias, a Quincy.

And not just any Quincy — but a direct descendant of the bloodline of Vidar himself, the forgotten god, the hidden sovereign of an empire that remained in the shadows, watching over the peace of the universe.

As he walked through the dark streets, Elias reflected on how the eras had changed since that day when Vidar and the goddess of death, Hela, shattered the chains of the underworld and forged their empire.

The Wandenreich.

A forbidden name in the Nine Realms, yet revered in the farthest corners of space and hidden dimensions. A silent empire that never needed to subjugate worlds by force, for its own were born with the power to maintain balance without resorting to war.

Vidar, the Father of the Wandenreich, and Hela, the Queen, ruled for centuries. Under their reign, a perfect race emerged: the Quincy. Children of light and darkness, born to shape fate and preserve cosmic harmony.

Each Quincy received a letter, a symbol of their unique power. From A to Z, each generation was perfected, combining souls, divine fragments, and the legacies of warriors. The first Quincy were the children of Vidar and Hela, and from them descended thousands.

But Vidar… he never set foot on Earth again.

Since the death of his only human friend, that man named Jesus — whose sacrifice forever changed the god's perception of the mortal world — Vidar swore never to return. The story of that lost friend was still told to every new generation of Quincy. Not as a cautionary tale, but as a lesson in compassion, betrayal, and destiny.

Elias remembered those words well, having heard them hundreds of times:

"Balance is not born of dominion… but of sacrifice. And one who forgets the worth of a friend also forgets the worth of a kingdom."

Vidar vanished into the furthest reaches of the empire, leaving the throne in the hands of Hela and the Grand Council. The Wandenreich became a bastion watching over the conflicts between worlds, intervening only when the universal balance was at risk.

Humans never knew of their existence.

And while human nations waged their wars, like the one now looming over Europe and threatening to consume everything, the Quincy walked among them, observing, judging, and sometimes… saving.

Elias had ventured into the human world out of his own curiosity.

He wanted to understand humanity's weakness, the reason Vidar never returned, and why that ancient friendship weighed so heavily on the memory of his race.

He stopped in front of a newspaper stand. The headline spoke of a man called Red Skull and an American project named Super Soldier.

"Humans… always seeking new weapons to destroy themselves."

He smirked with irony and kept walking.

For even though the Wandenreich had kept its distance, the echoes of ancient ages still lingered on this small planet. And Elias knew that very soon… the balance would be threatened once more.

And when that day came, the Empire would decide whether Earth was worth protecting… or destroying.
