Chapter 28 - unsaid

Dasch: i don't know if i can ask this.

Dude: i don't think we never had such courtesy.

Dasch: but it's been a silent taboo. what i'm about to commit.

Dude: i thought we needed such restrictions on our misbehaviors.

Dasch: how is that.

Dude: we often find ourselves in extermes where we shouldn't reach.

Dasch: ah. i mean in the end we do find ourselves return to our origin. so i think it's not so problematic.

Dude: so maybe we never wanna get into something we cannot get out of and return from.

Dasch: but it's not that we always know for sure we will return to normal when we have spaghetti conversations. we never had such guarantee or safety measures.

Dude: hmm. true.

Dasch: i don't know i might as well not say it. we've already delayed so much time.

Dude: i mean is there supposed to be a good time to say it.

Dasch: all spoken words have their right time and place to be spoken aloud.

Dude: i'm not too convinced right away.

Dasch: i don't know i feel like i lost my aim.

Dude: are you like some archer of sort.

Dasch: yeah, it's like i pulled my arrow for too long to have right aim. it's not going to bullseye.

Dude: but that's for darts not arrows.

Dasch: hitting the center. can't you just go along with it.

Dude: i just wanted to help clean up your analogy.

Dasch: no, you poked at it and now it's leaking and spilling.

Dude: if you're truly disciplined archer, it shouldn't bother. whether it's wind, poke, tickle, or any sort of distraction. i guess you've lost your ground.

Dasch: don't challenge me like that. before i change my target to be you instead.

Dude: why would you wanna shoot an easy target so close and unmoving as myself. there's no honor or fulfillment in that.

Dasch: if i can stop you from biting me like mosquito, it's probably worth it. mosquitos are not easy targets.

Dude: should i spread my wings and start sucking blood out of you.

Dasch: you've been doing that all along. don't speak as if you've never done it.

Dude: i'm confused what i've done anything close to that.

Dasch: the way you clog me up when i speak.

Dude: you eat too much jerkies. that's gonna block your arteries.

Dasch: see you are doing it right now. you're blocking me.

Dude: i don't know man. i don't think i can help you with that. i meant none of that.

Dasch: forget it. forget it. it's already gone away. it's been spoiled and ruined.

Dude: why can't you just let it out. i think you're constipating yourself. just poop it out as you always do.

Dasch: now you're forcing it. it's definitely turning away. it's never going to show itself.

Dude: okay, then i guess we have to wait for next signal. it's not like there won't be any more trains.

calm down.

Dasch: i don't like it. i really don't like it. i don't look forward to it anymore. you've really messed up the stage.

Dude: i don't get it. i don't know why it has so many conditions and requirements. they all seem very unnecessary.

Dasch: end of our conversation. over.

Dude: okay see you around dog.

Dasch turns around and heads towards the door.

Dude scrolls through his cellphone. Dasch is now just out the door, about to make a turn. Dude turns his head away the phone and looks at Dasch. Dude is about to say something. Dasch stops and looks right back, halting Dude.

Dasch: what?

Dude: what do you mean what?

Dasch: you were gonna say something.

Dude: was i? i mean you suddenly stopped.

Dasch: you were already looking at me.

Dude: i don't know why.

Dasch: you said you saw me stop.

Dude: i did but i don't know why i looked at you.

Dasch: you were gonna say something.

Dude: no? or... was i?

Dude turns his head away from Dasch and scratches his head puzzled.

Dasch: what a waste of chat. goodbye.

Dasch turns his head away from Dude and starts walking. Dude looks back at Dasch.

Dude: he... hey!

Dasch backpedals a bit, only his lower body becoming visible to Dude.

Dasch: what.

Dude: come back. have some decency to look at me at least when i'm speaking.

Dasch stays unmoved.

Dasch: i'm in the middle of exiting so. unless you got any last words

Dude: forget it. i meant to. you better have heard it. but never mind. you missed it. coz you ruined it. you had your chances

Dasch: well. what can i say.

Dude: well? you know what? fine by me. good talk.

Dasch: bye.

Dasch moves out of Dude's sight. Dude's mouth opens and quivers. Then, he lets out a sigh. Dude looks up at the ceiling blinking and starts drumming away his belly.
