Chapter 80 - Chapter 80: Explanations

According to these elderly men who were well past their prime, they had no conflict with the Clear Sky Sect. If their plans against the Spirit Hall failed, they might still need to rely on the power of the continent's top sect.

"Sword Grandpa, I just saw a hammer fall from the sky, but where is the person who wielded it?" Li Xun looked around but didn't see Tang Hao's figure. The Clear Sky Hammer had also disappeared from where it had landed.

Only Tang San remained lying on the ground, seemingly unconscious.

"Haha, some people just prefer to stay hidden," Sword Douluo said with a smile, shaking his head.

He hadn't expected that one of the former Clear Sky Twin Stars would end up like a rat scurrying in the shadows, too ashamed to show his face. Even protecting his own child required threatening others.

"What do you mean by 'prefer to stay hidden'? I've only heard of 'too ashamed to show one's face,'" Li Xun asked, puzzled.

The force Tang Hao had unleashed earlier was clearly meant to teach him a lesson. Since he couldn't defeat Tang Hao now, cursing him a bit would at least give him some satisfaction.

"Ahem, that's not how the phrase is used. You're still young and need to study more," Sword Douluo quickly interjected, giving Li Xun a meaningful look.

As a Super Douluo, he naturally wasn't afraid of Tang Hao's strength. A few subtle jabs wouldn't provoke any retaliation from him, but Li Xun was still growing.

If Tang Hao's petty nature remembered this, there was no guarantee he wouldn't seek revenge later.

"Understood, Sword Grandpa. I'll go back and study hard," Li Xun obediently nodded, taking the opportunity to step back.

"You..." Sword Douluo chuckled helplessly.

He had watched Li Xun grow up and knew all too well how clever the boy was.

Li Xun smiled and scratched his head, then dispelled the Wood Release: Wooden Dome Wall, releasing Ning Rongrong.

"Brother, are you okay?" Ning Rongrong quickly ran to Li Xun's side, looking him up and down. "Are you hurt?"

"With his strength, what kind of injury could he possibly sustain? Don't you see Sword Grandpa standing right here?" Sword Douluo teased with a smile.

"Sword Grandpa, you're so mean! I was just worried about Brother Li Xun. After all, the fight was so intense," Ning Rongrong pouted as she walked over to Sword Douluo, hugging his arm and acting coquettish. "And where were you earlier? Do you know I almost died?"

She had been protected by Li Xun earlier. Although she couldn't see what was happening outside, the sounds of the battle alone told her how fierce it must have been.

"Sword Grandpa was delayed by a little rat, but I was still watching over you the whole time. You're fine," Sword Douluo said, suppressing a laugh as he imitated Li Xun by flicking Ning Rongrong's forehead.

This flick immediately stirred up a hornet's nest. Ning Rongrong, covering her forehead, pestered Sword Douluo for compensation.

Li Xun couldn't help but laugh at the sight of the two, then turned his gaze to the distance. "Zhu Zhuqing, let her go."

"Okay," Zhu Zhuqing responded, no longer paying attention to Xiao Wu, who was curled up on the ground, and walked gracefully over to Li Xun.

The fight between her and Xiao Wu had been a one-sided affair. Xiao Wu's strength was mediocre among top-tier geniuses, and she didn't have the ability to face Zhu Zhuqing head-on. She had only been able to hold her own by relying on her Teleportation ability.

Li Xun knew this, which was why he hadn't taken Xiao Wu seriously.

As a close-combat Battle Soul Master, dealing damage to an enemy often required having more combat experience than the opponent and seizing their weaknesses.

Unfortunately, as a transformed 100,000 Year Soul Beast, her innate talent and potential were on par with Tang San's, yet she neither put effort into cultivation nor focused on improving her techniques. She couldn't compare to a diligent girl like Zhu Zhuqing.

Not to mention, Zhu Zhuqing's Martial Soul and strength had undergone a qualitative transformation.

Zhu Zhuqing quietly gazed at Li Xun, her mind blank. She opened her mouth several times but couldn't find the right words to say.

Li Xun glanced at Zhu Zhuqing's dazed expression and decided against teasing her. He handed her a piece of paper covered with handprints: "Take a look?"

"Oh, okay..." Zhu Zhuqing's ears turned red as she carefully took the paper and unfolded it, reading it intently.

After a moment, she solemnly folded it and retrieved an exquisite small box from her Soul Guiding Device, placing the paper inside.

With this written agreement personally penned by Dai Mubai, she no longer had to worry about anything from now on. Even if the Star Luo Imperial Family refused to acknowledge her, she wasn't afraid, as she was now a member of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School, one of the continent's top powers.

However, her Eldest Sister and the First Prince would likely be pleased with this outcome.

"Kid, I finally found you... huh?" A hoarse voice suddenly rang out from above, and Flender appeared overhead.

"Hongjun, Mubai, Xiao San, Xiao Wu, what happened to you all?" Flender shifted his gaze from Li Xun to the four disheveled figures on the street. His expression changed from anger to shock.

At that moment, Tang San, Xiao Wu, and Ma Hongjun lay on the ground, unconscious, with only Dai Mubai still awake.

Seeing it was Flender, Dai Mubai was about to speak, but his peripheral vision caught sight of the Sword Douluo and Li Xun. He silently lowered his head, appearing as if he was barely breathing.

He had just witnessed the manner in which this man had appeared. Considering Li Xun's talent and potential, Dai Mubai guessed that this man of extraordinary bearing must be a powerful figure from the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile School, tasked with ensuring the safety of Li Xun and the others, and possessing considerable strength.

For the sake of his own life, Dai Mubai decided to protect himself and let Flender figure things out on his own.

If Flender could defeat that imposing man, it would be for the best. If he was defeated, Dai Mubai wouldn't lose anything either.

As for his own grievances, Dai Mubai cautiously glanced at Li Xun before fainting.

There would be an opportunity.

Just as Dai Mubai fainted, Ma Hongjun quickly opened his eyes, pretending to wake from feigned death: "Teacher, it was that kid who... beat us up like this."

Finally, he had found his pillar of support.

Ma Hongjun's eyes welled with tears, his trembling buttocks twitching as he endured the pain from the wooden spear's impact. With a shaky hand, he pointed at Li Xun.

Flender followed the direction of the finger and looked at Li Xun: "You little brat, not only did you trick me and make a fool of me, but you also attacked and injured our academy's students."

"Do you really think I, Flender the Four-Eyed Cat Eagle, am someone you can bully?" Flender's feet glowed as two yellow, two purple, and three black Spirit Rings appeared.

His gaze swept over Li Xun and the others before finally settling on the Sword Douluo: "Friend, as their elder, don't you think you owe me an explanation?"

The Sword Douluo narrowed his eyes: "Hmph, an explanation?"

Although he had been confronting Tang Hao earlier, his attention had remained on Ning Rongrong and Zhu Zhuqing.

The expressions of Ma Hongjun and the others had naturally not escaped his notice.

Being able to teach such students shows that their Teacher's moral character couldn't be much better. Now that Flender has just appeared, he is immediately being asked to give an explanation.

This couldn't help but stir a hint of anger in Sword Douluo's heart. Of course, Tang Hao also bore some responsibility for this anger.

"Come, let's step aside and discuss this explanation," Sword Douluo said, gradually calming his emotions, his expression becoming more neutral. Beneath his feet appeared nine Spirit Rings - two yellow, two purple, and five black.
