I charged at Mr. Levy, sending him flying through the air and crashing into a large tree. I stood there for a moment, staring at my hands in surprised. Had I really pushed the alpha that far? I had never been able to push anyone away before. I had even nearly lost my life among the rogues, and the Moon Goddess had saved me.
I quickly grabbed Tabitha and was about to carry her, but Mr. Levy got up and approached me.
"Don't lift her body carelessly! The tip of the knife is close to her vital organs, and if you lift her, the knife will cut those organs," he said. I was in tears and wanted to make sure Tabitha was okay, but Mr. Levy's words froze me, and I stared at him blankly.
"You've already hurt her!" I snapped. He shook his head. "Then what? Explain it to me!"
"I am an alpha, and whatever happens to my pack members, I can feel it. Unfortunately, I was too late to help Tabitha."
"Yes, you're always late. Just like with me, even though I'm your mate."
