And that meant he had to inform Mia and Sera about his decision and know about their next move—if they'll follow him or leave him at this point.
He sat on the chair in his room, pondering about it. What would be their response? I mean, would they actually agree? Well, he sees Sera agreeing, but would Mia consent to this?
His thoughts couldn't—and wouldn't—answer his question because they were his and only thought of what he wanted.
I need to meet up with them first thing tomorrow, and discuss this. Though I don't think Mia would like that I've been seeing Jin behind her back.
Not like we're dating or anything, but I notice signs of hostility anytime she sees me with another woman. I'm guessing she likes me?
"Well, I should leave that thought aside and focus on what's happening. Should probably get some sleep too—haven't slept properly in a while," he said to himself, briefly standing and walking toward the bed, leaving the burner laptop on the cushion.
Goodnight me, he thought, staring at the ceiling as days of lack of sleep began to catch up with him.

Liam opened his eyes softly, glancing around the room for a brief moment.
He rolled over to the edge of the bed and checked his phone for the time, which read 9:59 AM.
"Shit, I overslept," he said, quickly stepping off the bed in one smooth, swift move.
He wore his slippers and took his clothes off, stepping into the bathroom for a quick bath.
After a while, he stepped out of the bathroom, drying himself off quickly without touching all the important spots on his body.
He opened the cupboard. What should I wear today?
He glanced over at the clothes available to him, then he noticed a clean Pucchi (Gucci) outfit that caught his attention.
This one looks good enough, though the outfit doesn't really matter.
He took it out and wore it, leaving his hair uncombed as he rushed out to the parlour.
Wait, why am I rushing like I can't come to the bakery anytime I want?
He slowed his steps and took every step slowly. There was no need for him to rush things. He could tell them these things anytime he felt like—not like he was late for something important.
He took his breakfast casually, watching his favourite programme before he moved back to his room to clean himself up properly.
Gotta look it. They can't believe what I'm saying if I don't look presentable, he thought as he combed his hair, admiring his reflection in the mirror.
Then he took both phones (his phone and the system phone) and left for the door, making sure he left nothing behind as he clicked the door shut.
A cab was already waiting for him outside the gates of Silverstone Avenue—because he called for it.
While others called it an Uber in this world, his former world for some reason called it "the human delivery cab."
He took the cab straight to the bakery, though his thoughts didn't allow him to concentrate on the road.
How would I even start? he thought as he glanced out through the window of the cab.
They arrived in front of the bakery shortly after.
The bakery was swarming with new customers tripping in and out continuously. He even saw newly hired security guards.
"Wow, look what they've done with this place. I'm impressed," he whispered as he stared at it.
Getting into the bakery wasn't easy—he had to squeeze through the crowd of customers that seemed to be unending until he got to the cashier table.
"Uhh… can I take your order?" a lady in a blue dress asked him.
"Is Mia around?" he asked, ignoring her initial question.
"Why do you ask? Do you have an appointment with her?" she questioned, raising an eyebrow.
She clearly didn't know who he was to this bakery, and that made him annoyed, so he sighed softly.
This is what I get for neglecting the bakery for weeks.
He glanced around the bakery and noticed a free space at one corner, so he decided to call her while standing there to avoid blocking the seemingly unending line.
"I'd like some cheeseburger," he said before he stepped out.
He walked up to the corner and pulled out his phone from his pocket.
Probably should have called her first and checked in before coming here.
She picked up immediately on the first ring—her voice like a new melody to his ear since he hadn't heard it in weeks.
"Mia! How are you? Can you come out for a sec? I'm currently in the bakery and the new workers don't seem to know me."
"Ohh, no problem. Give me a sec, I'll be right there," she responded quickly before ending the call.
In a brief moment, someone came out from a newly designed corridor—it was Mia.
She walked, bypassing the counter to come meet him.
"Liam! Thank the heavens you're alright. I haven't heard from you in weeks and I thought something happened to you," she said, raising her arms for a hug.
"A lot of things happened actually," he said, scratching the back of his neck. "Firstly, let's head to a more comfortable place to speak. And where's Sera?"
She first grabbed his hand and walked up to the cashier.
"Good morning, ma'am!" the cashier said, briefly standing up from her desk.
"It's alright. I probably haven't introduced you before, but he's a special guest," she said, referring to Liam. "Next time you see him, just let him through, alright?"
The woman nodded. "Yes ma'am—and my apologies, sir!"
He waved it off. "It's fine, you were just doing your job."
Without introducing him further, she grabbed his hand and yanked him toward a more comfortable place for their conversation, while answering his second question as they walked.
"Sera? She's still here. Just waiting in my office."
"Office?" he asked in surprise.
Soon, they stopped in front of a well-designed door toward the end of the spacious corridor.
"I don't think I'm familiar with these parts of the bakery."
"Yeah, of course not. It was newly built," she said, snapping the door open.
Inside the room, Sera was relaxed on a cushion at the other end.
Mia pulled him in and made sure to shut the door behind her.
"Alright—say what you wanna say."
