Chapter 18 - Chapter 17: Irresistible Presence, Effortless Death

Raiden Ai: "This is seriously dangerous… Yuki-kun's charm is like a trap. You don't even realize it until you're completely caught!"

Seitenshi: "Exactly! It's like a sweet poison—addictive and impossible to escape from!"

Huaizhu: "Honestly, Yuki is the most ridiculously handsome man I've ever seen. Not even close."

Artemis: "Hehe~ Yuki-kun~ (delusional giggling)"

Raiden Ai: "We've got a hopeless case on our hands."

Seitenshi: "Not just her! Look at that nurse next to Saeko—she's practically glued to him!"

Yuki's eyes flicked toward the empty space around him, and for a moment, something ancient stirred behind his calm gaze.

Ever since crossing into this apocalyptic world, he had felt it—a vast, terrifying cosmic barrier. It wasn't just separating realms; it was locking him out, even though he was a being whose power stretched across universes.

"Only if I surpass even this level… will I find the truth behind it all."

As Saeko stepped forward to greet him—

"Waaah!"

Shizuka Marikawa, the ditzy school nurse, tripped forward with a loud yelp. Her chest bounced wildly with each step, making it very clear she wasn't wearing anything supportive underneath.

Her foot caught awkwardly, and she stumbled forward like a falling tower of softness.

Reacting instantly, Yuki stepped in and caught her before she could crash face-first into the floor. His hands sank deep into her heavy breasts, and he was hit by their full, warm weight as she landed right against his chest.

Her entire body pressed against his firmly, her breasts jiggling from the impact—pillowy, full, and barely contained by her unbuttoned top. His fingers involuntarily squeezed slightly from the sudden contact.

So soft… and she smells like strawberries…

"Ehehe~ Oopsie! Thanks, Yuki-kun~" she giggled, completely unbothered, still snuggled in his arms like nothing was wrong.

"Ahem. No problem," Yuki said, clearing his throat and gently adjusting his hands to a more neutral position—though his fingers had already memorized every soft curve.

+200 Intimacy Points blinked across his mental HUD.

"So deeper contact equals bigger gains. Huh. Noted."

Saeko, standing nearby, had a noticeable twitch in her brow. She said nothing, but her eyes narrowed slightly.

Is she really doing this by accident…?

Still, Saeko remained the picture of composure, her polite smile betraying nothing.

Shizuka tilted her head with a curious sparkle in her eyes.

"So~ are you a magician or something?"

Yuki chuckled. "Something like that."

"Ohhh~ And are you Saeko's boyfriend?"

Silence. Everything froze.

Artemis: "EXCUSE ME?! YUKI-KUN IS MINE!"

Raiden Ai: "This teacher's dangerously blunt…"

Yuki opened his mouth, a bit stunned, but before he could say a word, Saeko stepped in smoothly.

"Ms. Marikawa, perhaps let's save the personal questions for later," she said calmly. "Right now, we need to find a safe place."

She opened the classroom door just slightly and peeked into the hallway. A few zombies wandered nearby, their groans low and hungry. She shut it again swiftly.

"There are still some out there. Yuki-kun… What do you suggest?"

Yuki studied Saeko for a moment.

She didn't deny the boyfriend thing.

When a woman doesn't correct a misunderstanding like that…

He knew why. Saeko was the perfect warrior—poised, proud, disciplined. She buried her emotions deep. But that hesitation… that silence earlier… meant something.

Now wasn't the time to press her about it.

"I'll carve a path out for us," he said with casual confidence.

"But first—do either of you know a good place to go?"

Saeko's eyes turned distant for a second. "My father was overseas. With the world like this… I doubt he's still alive. I have no one left."

Her voice didn't waver. There was no sadness—just cold, calm truth.

Yuki nodded, then looked at Shizuka.

She perked up immediately. "I'm Shizuka Marikawa~ But just call me Shizuka, okay?"

"Alright, Shizuka-san."

She tapped her lips, thinking hard. "I don't really have family either… but I do have a close friend! She lives nearby, I think. She's probably fine—super tough."

Then she gasped.

"Oh! Her house is like a bunker! Reinforced walls, security systems, and… a ton of guns!"

"That could work," Saeko said, considering it.

Yuki nodded. "Alright. Let's head there."

....

He led the way as they left the classroom. Saeko and Shizuka followed close behind. The moment they stepped out into the hallway, the groaning began.

Zombies turned toward them, drawn by sound and scent—dozens of them, stumbling forward like a wave of death.

Seitenshi: "So those are the undead? They really look like zombies!"

Raiden Ai: "Pathetic. Even this many wouldn't last ten seconds against me."

Huaizhu: "I wonder if I could burn them all at once with my Pure Yang Flame…"

Saeko instinctively raised her wooden sword, muscles tensing. Shizuka clung to Yuki's arm like a scared kitten.

But Yuki didn't even flinch.

He stepped forward, putting himself between the girls and the oncoming horde. He didn't move. Didn't raise a hand.

He simply thought—and all twenty-something zombies collapsed at once.

Their bodies didn't fall in chunks or explode—they disintegrated, crumbling into ash that scattered like sand on the breeze. In a single second, the entire hall was cleared.

Raiden Ai: "He didn't even move… How the hell?!"

Seitenshi: "Wait—did he just erase them? Instantly?"

Raiden Ai: "Yuki-kun is amazing as always!!! (♡o♡)"

Saeko's eyes sparkled with awe.

"To defeat them without even lifting a weapon… As expected of you, Yuki-kun."

Her voice was composed, but the warmth in her chest said more than words could. Something in her was stirred—respect, attraction… something deeper.

Shizuka's jaw dropped. "That was insane! You're like a superman!"

Yuki didn't acknowledge the compliments. He turned to Saeko.

"How's your mission progress?"

She opened her system interface and nodded. "It's counting. These kills are valid."

"Good," Yuki said with a small smirk.

If we can keep this up, we'll finish the mission in no time.

Raiden Ai: "This gives them a crazy advantage."

Seitenshi: "Ugh! I'm so jealous! Saeko's going to get a mid-tier gacha pull without even trying!"

Most of the chat group had been saving their points for higher-tier draws. But Saeko? She'd basically hit the jackpot just by sticking close to Yuki.

"Alright," Yuki said, glancing down the now-silent hallway. "Shizuka-san, lead the way to that house of yours."

Shizuka lit up. "You got it! It's really close by!"

As they moved out, Saeko walked behind Yuki, her sword still in hand—but her eyes kept drifting toward his back. His power, his calm control… The way he shielded them without hesitation…

It's hard not to feel something.

But this isn't the time for that…

The real mission had only just begun.
