Chapter 63 - Chapter 63: Unexpected Encounter

Looking at Snape's tired appearance, Link also didn't say much more. Suppressing the urge to complain, Link expressed his thanks to Snape and then drank the potion and left.

However, just as he was about to push open the stone door, Snape's voice once again came from behind him.

"About the Occlumency training, you can continue trying after you go back." Snape paused and said, "As for the Sectumsempra curse, you'd better wait until you're familiar with it here before practicing."

"Got it, Professor." Link nodded and pushed open the stone door, "You should go rest for a bit."

Thud!

Accompanied by a muffled sound, the stone door closed again.

In the darkness, Link took a deep breath. Overall, his mood was still pretty good. After all, he had already mastered both the offensive and defensive forms of Sectumsempra, and had also begun learning Occlumency. Everything was developing in the right direction.

The only flaw was that the learning method for Occlumency was really too strange, and too difficult. That made him a little uncomfortable.

But just like Snape said, this was the standard to judge whether someone was a genius or not.

Geniuses often discover truth from the subtle, while mediocrities, even when facing the truth directly, only think it's something ordinary.

Link wasn't sure if he was a genius, but he definitely wouldn't give up.

"Lumos."

A gentle and bright glow rippled out from the tip of Link's wand. He moved his somewhat sleep-stiff body and slowly walked into the darkness.

Later, he also planned to go check on Arkam.

Even though Arkam kept saying its injury was fine, Link was still a little worried. That bottle of pitch-black unknown potion was something Link had specifically blackmailed from Snape just for Arkam.

Though there wasn't much in it, probably not even enough for one snake-use, but it was still a token of Link's care, and he felt Arkam wouldn't mind.

Thinking this, Link couldn't help but quicken his steps.

But he had only walked a short distance when he suddenly bumped into something.

"Whoa!"

"Ah!"

Link staggered from the collision and nearly fell to the ground. At the same time, a somewhat familiar groan came from in front of him.

Stabilizing himself, Link looked toward the source of the sound, only to find that on the ground in front of him were only a pair of shuffling calves, with nothing visible above the legs.

This surprised Link a little, but he quickly figured it out and said uncertainly, "Harry?"

"Ah, Link, help me up."

Harry's painful voice came from ahead, and then, out of thin air, an arm suddenly appeared.

Link tentatively pulled, and finally yanked Harry's whole body up from the ground.

"Whew! Sorry, Link, I was distracted."

Harry scratched his head awkwardly, while Link excitedly rubbed the fabric that had just been covering Harry.

This fabric was quite magical, everything it covered would directly become transparent. It was a real invisibility cloak.

"Invisibility cloak!" Link said with some excitement.

Hearing this, a hint of pride flashed across Harry's face. "That's right, it's an invisibility cloak," Harry said. "It was a Christmas gift I received. Supposedly it's an heirloom from my father."

Seeing Harry's smug expression, Link smiled meaningfully.

At this time, Harry still thought it was just an ordinary invisibility cloak, but what he didn't know was, though the wizarding world also had invisibility cloaks, those made from Demiguise fur were expensive tools that actually had a shelf life.

Generally speaking, even the best invisibility cloaks only worked effectively for about one year. But the one in Harry's hands was different.

It was the famous Deathly Hallows relic, the Cloak of Invisibility.

It could not only permanently provide invisibility, but also greatly shield the wearer from magical detection methods including prophecy and divination. It was a true magical artifact.

After playing with the cloak for a while, Link finally returned it to Harry.

At this stage, that thing wasn't something he could take. After all, it had been given to Harry by Dumbledore, if it suddenly disappeared, Dumbledore definitely wouldn't let it go.

"This thing's really great!" Link sincerely exclaimed.

"Right? I think so too!"

Seeing Harry's excited look, Link shook his head and asked with some confusion, "But why are you here so late?"

As soon as Link said this, the smile on Harry's face froze. He stood dumbly for a moment, then as if he'd made a decision, bit his lip and said, "I discovered something, maybe you should come see it, Link!"

"What did you discover?"

"It's hard to explain in words, you'll understand once you see it."

With that, Harry didn't wait for Link's reaction and directly pulled him into the depths of the corridor.

The two of them twisted and turned nonstop, passing staircases that went up and down repeatedly, until Link almost lost his sense of direction.

It wasn't until now that the previously oddly excited Harry finally calmed down a bit and began explaining to Link, "You can understand me, right? Link, I just wanted to test how powerful this invisibility cloak is, so last night I wore it and snuck around."

"And it really is powerful, I went to many places, even the Restricted Section, and no one noticed me. Of course, I only went to the Restricted Section to look for Nicolas Flamel, not for anything else! Oh! Do you know who Nicolas Flamel is?"

"Uh, not too clearly."

Link was definitely lying, but inwardly he clicked his tongue.

'That was the Restricted Section!'

All of Hogwarts' knowledge of dark magic was locked in there. Even the famous Voldemort grew up relying on the knowledge inside.

And Harry actually managed to get in with just the cloak, Link couldn't help but feel sour, like he'd eaten a lemon.

But he only felt envy for a moment. He knew very well that to prevent the next Dark Lord, the Restricted Section was the most heavily guarded place in Hogwarts.

Besides Harry, the chosen one, not even someone like Link, probably not even someone like Snape or Flitwick, could sneak in.

Clicking his tongue silently, Link's gaze toward Harry became a bit complicated.

But Harry didn't notice, and continued speaking to himself, "You don't know who Nicolas Flamel is? That's really a pity. Of course, I'm not blaming you, Link. In fact, we've been looking for him for a while now, but haven't had any luck."

"What? You're asking why we're looking for him? Because Hagrid accidentally spilled it last time, Nicolas Flamel is likely connected to the thing under the trapdoor. We all think we need to clearly understand what it is we're protecting, only then can we be at ease."

"Of course, that's beside the point now. What I really want to show you is something I found after escaping the Restricted Section. Oh! We're here!"

Harry's voice became excited again. He suddenly pulled Link, and the two of them stopped in front of a classroom door.
