Fifteen days before the invasion of planet Xangdia...
Morvain Imperial Palace, corporal training hall.
Inside a heat capsule the size of a car, the young emperor of the Morvain empire was submerged in the infernal heat, generated by a high temperature of five to six thousand degrees Celsius.
Outside the capsule, genetically modified Thraxanos watched while their emperor had his body burned as if he was on fire.
Luckily for Léo, his body, resistant to almost anything, still endured that high temperature without melting.
The temperature of the heat capsule was strong enough to superficially burn the most resistant minerals of the planet, which were fused into one, specially made for this capsule to withstand such high temperatures.
The young emperor's body trembled as if it was about to give in and faint at any moment; his face, completely distorted, showed the pain he was feeling enduring that burning sensation.
No more than a minute later, the young emperor emerged from the heat capsule, his skin now partially burned.
Leaving the small heat capsule completely naked, he didn't wait long before entering another capsule, another advanced capsule.
This capsule was surrounded by artificial ice because of the low temperature coming from inside, which reached absolute zero.
Upon entering the artificial cold capsule, in a matter of milliseconds, his body suffered a thermal reaction, as he had previously been in a heat capsule; the two extremes collided, heat and cold, causing a brutal reaction in Léo's body.
"AAAAAAAH!"
A deafening scream that could freeze the bones came from inside the artificial capsule, the huge difference between the cold and heat practically destroyed thirty percent of Léo's muscles, his organs were all damaged, practically leaving them almost destroyed.
Blood gushed from his mouth and his skin disintegrated; very quickly, seventy percent of his skin had already disappeared. Léo didn't last long before losing consciousness and being completely covered by ice. His cells stopped, and Léo fell into a coma.
"Quick, slowly bring the capsule's temperature back to room temperature!" — a scientist outside the capsule shouted.
The other scientists, upon hearing the orders, quickly obeyed, slowly returning the temperature to normal to avoid causing a worse reaction in Léo.
The scientists rapidly adjusted the machine's temperature, and the temperature of the artificial cold machine slowly returned to normal.
"Full reboot." The robotic sound of the machine echoed through the place.
Without much delay, a team of genetically modified doctors took Léo, who was wrapped in ice, and carried him on a stretcher to the empire's medical center.
Upon arrival, they placed Léo in an advanced regeneration machine, recently created by the genetically modified scientists, along with the medical knowledge of the genetically modified doctors.
The machine had the shape of a cocoon, its glass was green transparent, showing Léo inside the machine using a metallic object to breathe, regenerative fluids flowing up and down aiding Léo's recovery.
At the location, soldiers, the ten strongest genetically modified soldiers, guarded Léo, incapacitating anyone who tried to get close to him, besides doctors and some scientists.
Ten days later...
Ten days quickly passed, doctors came and went along with some scientists.
"Heartbeat?"
"Okay."
"How's the blood pressure?"
"Also okay."
"What's the body temperature?"
"Above average, but nothing too serious, it won't be long before he wakes up."
A doctor looking at Léo, who now had his skin and muscles fully recovered, asked while his assistant answered all his questions.
"I see." — The doctor responded.
'It's unbelievable how strong the emperor's regeneration is, even with the regenerative fluid, recovering from something like that is incredible!'
After performing Léo's daily checkup, the doctor responsible for taking care of Léo did some more basic procedures, but before he could leave, a soldier arrived.
"Mr. Peter, Angela is in front of the room and said she wants to see the emperor." With an impartial face, the soldier passed the message.
"What!? Who told Angela that the emperor was here!?" — Peter asked angrily to the soldier. Before the soldier could answer, he said: "The emperor personally ordered that Angela should not know he was injured, do not let her in."
"Yes, sir." — Obeying Peter's orders, the soldier agreed.
But before the soldier could leave, the sounds of glass breaking came from the machine where Léo was recovering.
Like a god among mortals, the people in the room saw Léo coming out of the machine, glass shards scattered on the floor along with green fluids, now completely unharmed, walking over it.
'This, this feeling is great!' — Léo thought, clenching his fists and feeling his skin more resistant than before.
'Not only did my resistance increase, but it seems my strength also increased a lot.'
"My lord."
Upon witnessing their emperor waking up, all the Thraxanos present in the room made a salute pose and spoke in unison.
Interrupting everyone's salute, Léo gestured with his hand, opened his mouth, and ordered: "Peter, I heard the conversation. Allow her in and bring me some clothes."
"Yes, sir! You heard the emperor, soldier, allow her in."
Ordering the soldier, Peter also went to comply with Léo's orders; he brought a set of clothes that Léo usually wears, all before Angela even arrived.
Not long after, Angela appeared in the room where Léo was.
Seeing Léo standing and completely fine, she was shocked, making anyone realize the shock she had upon seeing Léo completely well.
'What the hell is this!? How is he completely unharmed? They told me he was practically dead.'
'That damned soldier will pay for lying to me!' — Angela thought alone, completely furious thinking she had been deceived.
"What's wrong, Angela? You look surprised to see me well." — Léo said jokingly.
Approaching Angela dominantly, Léo got closer to her. Thinking she would be hit by Léo, Angela fell backward, landing on her butt.
She started sweating cold as she saw Léo getting closer, more and more dominant; at that moment, to Angela, Léo was thousands of meters tall.
Closing her eyes after Léo got close enough, she waited, but nothing happened. Until Léo passed his hand through her head and gently petted her and then her little antennae; she opened her eyes in astonishment, wondering if by chance Léo was crazy.
"I don't have time for your jokes now, I will teach you a lesson when we return from Xangdia." — Léo, crouched and petting Angela, said coldly, opening a macabre smile.
Angela swallowed hard and, against her will, had to agree, nodding her head.
"Soldier, tell Lucky I'm already recovered." Standing up, Léo ordered the soldier who was in the room.
"Yes, sir!"
The soldier left while Léo performed a few more basic procedures to make sure he hadn't left any sequelae on his body and, as expected, everything was as before. The only change was that his cells and body were stronger.
With the sound of the door opening, Lucky arrived at the medical area where Léo was, along with two genetically modified soldiers for protection.
"My lord, it's great news that you have recovered." — Lucky said, saluting with the soldiers behind him.
"Alright, alright. Tell me... Is the spaceship ready?" — Léo asked with curiosity.
"Yes, sir, even after you went into a coma, our aerospace engineers, along with the scientists, were already close to finishing the spaceship's construction." — Lucky answered. "Do you want to go see it?"
"Of course, let's go. Angela, you're coming along."
"Yes, before I forget, send your soldiers to find whoever told Angela I was recovering here and kill him." — Léo said with a smile.
"Bastard..." — Angela thought silently while biting her lips.
"Yes, sir. You heard the emperor, go."
Upon hearing the orders, the two soldiers behind Lucky went to carry out their mission.
After this brief dialogue, Léo, along with Angela and Lucky, went to the aerospace area of the Morvain empire.
When they arrived, hundreds of spaceships of various sizes were spread throughout the area, but one in particular stood out above the rest: a colossal ship, thousands of kilometers wide and tall.
The colossal warship was resting outdoors in a hangar, fully powered on for testing, its metallic gray structure shining under the light. With thousands of kilometers in width, it was a true fortress, an entire city embedded in steel and cutting-edge technology. Its surface was a complex tapestry of interconnected metal panels, some smooth and reflective, others covered by ventilation grates, weapon towers, and sensory antennas extending like mechanical tentacles.
Colossal weapons, with cannons that looked like mountains of metal, were strategically distributed along the structure. Each could fire energy bursts or hypersonic projectiles that could pierce entire atmospheres and disintegrate enemy ships at a distance. Intelligent missiles and automated defense towers covered every inch of the surface, ensuring no one dared to approach.
At the bottom, titanic engines pulsed, releasing an intense bluish glow that illuminated the surrounding space and disintegrated anything nearby. These thrusters were capable of accelerating the ship to speeds that defied any technology ever created on Earth; despite its immense size, its speed was only surpassed by Léo's own speed.
"Sir, this is the Morvain-00 ship, the strongest warship ever created. Millions of resources were spent building this ship; I hope it meets your approval." — Lucky spoke proudly.
'It really turned out great, now my empire will extend to many places.' — Léo thought silently.
"What do you think, Angela?" — Léo asked in a playful tone.
"It's amazing!" — Angela replied sincerely.
She never imagined that the planet where she was born and raised would one day be able to build something like that; she didn't want to admit it, but this guy was really incredible for managing to create something like that.
"As I thought... Lucky, pass my orders and prepare the generals and their armies. In five days, we will invade planet Xangdia."
"Yes, sir. I'll take my leave now." — Lucky saluted his emperor and went to carry out his orders.
"All right Angela, let's go now. Today I want you to make me some special food..." — Léo said leaving the place, with Angela following him..
