A few minutes prior, Pepe broke through the entrance of Zombie Land. He sprinted as the room collapsed. Afterwards, he panted and calmed himself.
At the same time, the brothers rushed through the empty rooms.
Finally, Pepe caught up with them as explosions echoed in the rooms.
Matteo pointed to a room where smoke flooded out.
As they walked through the entrance, Hafen, Stark, Matteo, and Pepe heard someone groan in pain. As they got closer, they saw Old Man Blacksmith's sword and other weapons on the ground.
In the smoke, Stark screamed as a giant zombie hand grasped him with three burnt fingers.
The others hurried to him.
Stark stabbed his elemental great sword into the wrist and created spiky vines to wrap around the giant arm.
The arm let go of him and fell to the ground.
Stark held the arm to the ground. He muttered that there were no signs of resistance coming it.
As they cautiously walked past the arm, Hafen noted that it wasn't moving.
They loomed closer, and they saw a giant zombie's torso and head. They also saw a man that sat on the ground, by the wall.
Upon closer inspection, it was Old Man Blacksmith on a puddle of blood. He coughed blood before he turned to them. Most of his legs were missing. They were charred.
Pepe demanded to know who injured him.
Old Man Blacksmith signaled in front of him and muttered that it was his brother, Zombie King. He divulged that he was the Third Legendary War Hero, Hubert. In front of him was the giant zombie's head.
Stark urgently bandaged the wounds with his vines.
The apprentices glanced at the Zombie King.
An eye hanged down from his eye socket while the other eye stared at them.
Hafen wondered if Zombie King would not attack them.
Old Man Blacksmith answered that neither of them could move anymore.
Zombie King was completely bald and covered in injuries, including a hole in his skull. Human blood poured out of his mouth.
Pepe murmured that he thought his brother had died.
Old Man Blacksmith apologized for lying to him about that. He continued that as they could see, it was something he preferred not talking about.
A tear fell down Zombie King's cheek.
Matteo commented that Zombie King was crying.
Old Man Blacksmith assumed that the tears were for his wife.
Stark finished wrapping his master's legs. He assured that he would be fine.
Old Man Blacksmith solemnly remarked that he was not going to make it.
Stark asked what he meant.
Old Man Blacksmith mumbled his students' names. He expressed that they had shown him that he still had something to give, and that it wasn't too late for him. He muttered that they were never content to stop and kept aiming higher.
At the same time, gunfire and screams could be heard in the next room.
Old Man Blacksmith coughed and announced that he would leave them with one final mission.
Tearing up, Hafen, Matteo, Stark, and Pepe nodded.
Old Man Blacksmith declared that their final mission would be to kill Zombie King and Zombie Queen once and for all. He queried if they understood.
Pepe and the three brothers nodded.
Old Man Blacksmith asked Pepe if he understood.
Pepe replied that he did.
The master asked Stark.
Stark replied that he did and that they would come back for him, afterwards.
Old Man Blacksmith muttered that there was no need. He asked Matteo.
Matteo assured that they would make him proud.
Old Man Blacksmith asked Hafen.
Hafen responded that they won't fail him.
Old Man Blacksmith smiled and suggested them to go and make a name for themselves. After a moment of silence, he called out for Pepe.
Pepe replied that he was still there.
Old Man Blacksmith explained that he had a secret mission for him.
Pepe questioned what it was.
Old Man Blacksmith requested him to take care of his niece, Cassandra.
Pepe solemnly replied that she escaped.
Old Man Blacksmith reassured Pepe that it wasn't a bad outcome, but if he crossed paths with her again, make sure she was safe and well.
Pepe affirmed that he understood.
Old Man Blacksmith thanked his students. Nothing else came out of his mouth.
Pepe wiped his tears and ordered the three brothers to confront Zombie Queen.
Hafen wondered what Pepe would do.
Pepe answered that he would finish off Zombie King for good.
Zombie King's eye moved to Pepe.
Matteo had a worried look.
Hafen patted his shoulder and urged that they should hurry.
Stark nodded.
Matteo, Hafen, and Stark entered the next room.
Pepe stared at Old Man Blacksmith's body. He kneeled and closed his eyes. He took a deep breath and wished his master the best in the afterlife.
The ground trembled.
Pepe stood up and turned to Zombie King. He noticed Zombie King's eye twitch. It confirmed that Zombie King was not dead, yet. He walked in front of him and readied himself.
Just then, Zombie King's mouth moved.
Pepe questioned what he said.
In a low voice, Zombie King muttered his love's name, Julia. He mumbled that she saved him, and he had to return the favor. He whispered that he loved her. He wondered why his brother would not understand.
Pepe was confused, and he was startled when he noted how Zombie King's body pieces were once connected by stitches. He questioned why the king of the zombies was sewn together.
All of a sudden, an intense explosion erupted, and the ground trembled. Broken debris fell from the ceiling.
Pepe clenched his teeth and balanced himself. He prepared and declared that he would kill Zombie King. His hands glowed and radiated energy. As he ran, his fists were enveloped in water, grass, ground, and electricity. He swung his fist and hit Zombie King's face.
Upon impact, an enormous explosion went off, and a wave of energy erupted out. It radiated across the room.
As his eye flew into the air, Zombie King was bewildered by Pepe's power.
Pepe had gloriously done it. He had accomplished what Zombie King, Old Man Blacksmith, and many others had theorized and failed to do.
Zombie King thought of energy and how he wished to wield it like Pepe.
In the meantime, General Bobby snapped out of it and struggled to get up. He, surrounded by bodies, fell to his knees.
His soldiers were slaughtered, and there was nothing left. Most of them were turned into zombies.
General Bobby lowered his head in shame. He could not believe what had happened. He stared at the ground and gritted his teeth as he received the final memories of one of his good, old friends. They were from Old Man Blacksmith. His real name was Marcus.
