"I don't understand what you mean. Why was released and the charges dropped while I'm still on the case?" Leah demanded, her voice laced with anger over the phone.
"We lack concrete evidence to justify her detention at this time. The police haven't found anything yet," came the matter-of-fact reply from her lawyer.
"What other evidence do you need? She was with Hudson on the same day he almost lost his life and ultimately lost his assets! That girl is manipulative and cunning," Leah retorted, struggling to remain calm as she remembered the identity of the person she was speaking to.
"Selina might be involved in Hudson's incident, but that doesn't mean she's the perpetrator. Right now, she's considered a victim, and we've tracked every financial statement of hers. There's no evidence of her possessing any suspicious amounts," her lawyer explained.
