The word "Little Cunt" replayed in my head like a broken tape. I stared in disbelief, I parted my lips to speak, but nothing came out, my throat felt like it was patched with sand. I bit my lower lip in anger.
One of the men walked closer to me. He squatted in front of me, he stared at me with disgust, like I was below him, and I was nothing but trash.
A sharp pain surged from my jaw to my skull, as he held my jaw firmly. I tried to push him away, but no matter how much I tried, he wouldn't budge.
'Am I that weak? Or is he very strong?' I whimpered in pain.
"Do you think we have the time to entertain your misbehaviour?" He yanked me to my feet.
Tears threatened to spill from my eyes, but I won't cry in front of them. Before I could gain my footing, he pushed me forward, I stumbled, almost falling. My body cried in protest, my feet wobbled against the cold floor.
I glared at the man so hard that my eyes hurt. Even if I fell into their hands, they still had to treat me with respect. I'm the heiress of the largest conglomerate in the country.
"Don't push me around. Tell your boss that I want to talk to him," I snapped at him. But he looked taken aback by my sudden words, or is it because of my demeanour?
The man exchanged glances with the other man, before they burst out in a fit of laughter, as if they had just heard the funniest joke in the world.
The man's face turned cold, his lips curved up in disgust. He slammed me into the wall like a rag doll, my body trembled from the impact, the metallic taste of blood spread across my tongue.
I wheezed from the pain, my eyes saw stars. "Listen to me, you worthless Omega. You don't get to make any bargain with us," he growled against my face, his eyes glowed gold.
My breath hitched, my body froze as all the hair on my body stood on their ends, my neck bared as if it was used to the command. 'What is this? Omega? Is this a prank or something?' I panicked.
"We have to get her to the breeding house now," the other man spoke with urgency. "The Alpha wouldn't be pleased if we took forever to bring her over," he added.
The man in front of me held my hand, dragging me along. 'Wait, what is going on? Did I just hear them say breed? Do they mean breed, as in when animals breed?' My mind went blank.
My mind didn't register the metallic stench in the air, neither the wails and screams coming from the other rooms.
We arrived at the front of a big metallic door. The two guards stationed there opened it at the sight of us. As we stepped out, I shielded my eyes from the blinding light. The fresh air invaded my nostrils, but my stomach churned from the reality in front of me. The heat from the sun kissed my skin, a cruel reminder that it was all real and it wasn't a dream.
"Wait… wait," my voice cracked. But my pleas fell onto deaf ears, as they continued to pull me to God knows where.
We arrived in front of a white mansion. Shivers ran down my spine, I struggled in desperation to break free from his grip. I didn't want to go inside. He yanked my hair, a cry escaped from my lips from the sharp pain that tore through my skull.
"Do you think you can escape from this because you are the Alpha's daughter? You are no less than trash," he whispered against my ear, then, he bit the lobe of my ear.
My body trembled, repulsed by his act. "If you hadn't tried to escape earlier, you wouldn't have endured this torture," he yanked me inside the mansion.
He threw me to the ground, the cold hard floor welcomed me with its chill. I raised my head up slightly, my heart pounded in my ears. I felt fear trickling down my spine. I closed my eyes, unable to believe this was real.
"Samantha, get her cleaned up. We wouldn't want her to smell like crap," his eyes lingered on me longer than they should.
A girl who should be in her late twenties came beside me and jerked me to my feet, pulling me into a room.
My heart thumped crazily. 'I'm going crazy. Alpha? Aren't those words used in werewolves novels?'
I stared at the lady in front of me. Her black hair was tied into a bun. "Excuse me," I whispered. Hope surged within me, with the believe I would be able to talk to her.
She shut the door behind her. "Strip," she ordered me.
We stared at each other for a few seconds, before I burst into a fit of laughter. Well, it sounded more like the jerking sound of a car.
"I know I have a lot of enemies, but you don't need to act in front of me. What is this? Is this a movie or something? … Oh I know, I know," I said with a laugh. "You all are trying to make me think I'm going crazy, right? What with the alpha and omega thing?"
She continued to stare at me as if I had fallen from another dimension. "Ember, don't make this difficult for me. And… why are you different now? You used to be meek and obedient," Samantha said, her eyes scrutinizing me.
"Oh, I see you're trying to be in character. But I ain't crazy. Stop this! Meek and obedient is the opposite of me, and did you just call me Ember? What kind of ominous name is that?" I snapped at her.
She growled at me, her brown eyes turned light blue. My breath hitched, before waves of shivers bolted down my spine.
"I can see you're trying to make this work. There is no such thing as werewolves. I bet you must be wearing eye contacts," I said, shoving down the blaring sound in my head.
Samantha growled fiercely at me. "Don't make me do this the hard way."
"Oh, do your worst. I'm going nowhere," I huffed at her.
Then, to my worst nightmare, her fangs elongate, her claws protruded out of her fingers. 'This must be fake, right? They must have bought an expensive costume, right?'
As if she could hear my doubts, she transformed into a big brown wolf. My eyes rolled to the back of my head, then I passed out.
