Theo's jaws clenched, his fists clenched so tight that his knuckles whitened. "Thank the goddess that my father had warned me not to lay a hand on you. I would have made you see stars right now." He turned away, seething in anger, his footsteps thudding against the tiles.
My throat tightened. At this rate, I might really end up dying from anger and a heart attack. 'Did I take that too far?' I pressed my lips into a thin line.
I followed him, a chill ran through me, as I wondered what could be the reason I was being called. Not too long after, we arrived at the door to his room.
"Come in, Ember." Damon's hoarse voice rang from the other side of the door. I took a deep breath to calm my racing heart before reaching for the door's knob. I glanced over my shoulder, and I saw Theo stood still, his gaze sharp like a razor. His jaws clenched.
I had no idea why he hated me that much, but whatever it was, it sounded like his problem. I entered the room, shutting the door behind me.
