Nina paced around her room, her fingers twitching with unease. Fenrir, curled in the corner, occasionally lifted his head at her movements but didn't bother to get up.
The silence didn't help her nerves. She'd sent Luna a message asking for help, but waiting for evening dinner to talk felt unbearable now.
[You'll see her at dinner.]
Her Patron drawled, his voice drifting lazily into her mind.
[Calm down, will you?]
"I can't. It's too late by then. What if something happens before I even get a chance to talk to her?"
Nina stopped pacing, pressing her hand to her chest. Her heartbeat was quick and uneven.
[You're being dramatic.]
"I'm being realistic. I'm going to visit her now."
Nina grabbed her jacket.
There was a pause, and then her Patron spoke again, more curious than mocking.
[You're going to Luna's workplace?]
"Yes."
[You've never done that before. And you remember what they said, right? You're not supposed to show up unannounced.]
