Naruto cracked his knuckles in the forest clearing, the morning sun filtering through leaves as he reviewed his plan one final time. His body hummed with restored energy, no trace remained of the hollow agony that had wracked him when Kurama was torn away. Now he stood ready to claim the ultimate prize: the complete Nine-Tails sleeping in his system's inventory.
'This one's different', he thought, flexing his fingers. 'Twice the power, none of the baggage.'
With Senju vitality strengthening his Uzumaki chains and Wood Style coursing through him, he'd reforged himself into the perfect jailer for the demon fox.
The Wood Style: Myojin Gate technique; a windfall from his simulated training had proven devastating against even Kurama's half-strength form. Now enhanced by living wood, its sealing power could crush a full bijuu's resistance.
'Tested and confirmed,' Naruto smirked, recalling how his former tenant had grudgingly admitted: "Even at full power, breaking free would take me... considerable time."
Shrugging off his orange jacket, Naruto let the dawn light play across the spiral tattoo on his bare stomach. No room for error now.
"Wood Style: Myojin Gate!"
The forest canopy exploded upward as three colossal torii gates materialized midair, their shadow swallowing the clearing. Before the first leaf could touch ground, Naruto ripped open his mental inventory, and unleashed hell.
[The Beast Emerges]
"ROOOOOOAR!"
The concussion wave flattened trees for fifty yards as nine crimson tails fanned across the sky. The complete Nine-Tails stood revealed, its malice condensing into a visible miasma that set Naruto's teeth on edge.
'Stronger. So much stronger.'
The beast's slit-pupiled eyes darted wildly, taking in the changed landscape. Its last memory: battling Minato in Kushina's sealing chamber.
"WHO DARES SUMMON..."
"Adamantine Sealing Chains!"
Golden links erupted from Naruto's back, coiling around thrashing limbs with metallic shrieks. The Myojin Gates chose that moment to strike.
CRUNCH!
Nine-Tails muzzle smashed into dirt as the first torii pinned its neck. Two more gates hammered down along its spine, their sealing formulas flaring violet.
Naruto didn't hesitate. He sprinted up a dangling chain like a tightrope, palm glowing with the perfected Eight Trigrams Seal.
The beast's eye rolled to track him. "YOU!!!"
"Nap time," Naruto growled, slamming his hand between its nostrils.
The world inverted.
Nine-Tails dissolved into a screaming river of crimson chakra, pouring into the whirlpool seal now burning on Naruto's stomach. Inside the mental prison, reinforced bars slammed shut on the disoriented beast.
"NO! NOT AGAIN!" Nine-Tails hurled itself against the gate, once, twice, before recoiling from the seal's backlash.
Naruto's spectral projection appeared outside the cage, arms crossed. "Told you it'd hold."
The demon fox's snarl shook the mental space. "When I get out..."
"Yeah, yeah. World domination, human extinction." Naruto turned away. "Take a number."
Naruto had just pulled his shirt back on when the earthquake hit.
Not natural, too rhythmic.
Footsteps.
Kurama came crashing through the treeline like a comet, his remaining six tails lashing wildly. "Move, deadlast! Incoming!"
Behind him, the mountain exploded.
Uchiha Itachi's crimson Susanoo rose from the debris, its skeletal fingers tightening around the legendary Ten-Fist Sword. The blade elongated toward Kurama's fleeing form like a striking serpent.
Naruto's stomach dropped. 'That sword seals anything it touches...'
"Wood Style: Myojin Gate!"
The gates materialized directly in the sword's path, and shattered like glass as the ethereal blade sheared through them.
Kurama skidded to a halt, panting. "That's the worst backup I've ever seen!"
"YOU led a walking nuke to me!" Naruto vaulted onto the fox's head. "What happened to 'I'm the strongest tailed beast'?"
