I didn't know where I was. But from the pointed ears I saw everywhere, I knew that I was somewhere in the elven domain.
Our mansion was attacked suddenly, but my father gave me a teleportation artifact to survive and a disguising artifact because my look can cause problems.
I activated the teleportation artifact, but before it activates completely, a big explosion caught me.
My body got filled with burns, many bones got shattered, I lost my right arm and I was bleeding everywhere. There was no time to choose a disguise, so I chose the first thing that appeared in my mind.
A cat.
I needed to survive for 2 weeks before I could activate the artifact again and go back home. But I didn't have enough mana to heal my wounds.
So, I kept crawling, trying to approach the elves, looking for any help, but they avoided me like plague .
Some didn't even look at me, some elves stared at me with disgust and there was even a kid that kicked me.
After some minutes I collapsed on the ground from exhaustion. The only reason I was alive until now was my natural healing, but even this wasn't enough to stop all my bleeding.
'People are so cruel.'
But when I finally lost all hope, I saw a boy approaching me .
"Shit! How the fuck did it end like this?! Use your healing, I can still hear its heart."
'Did I finally get saved? '
A warm purple light fell upon me, and my injuries started healing gradually. All my pain and exhaustion started fading and I could finally see my saviours .
They were a boy and a girl that had similar features, striking purple eyes, silky black hair with purple highlights and face features that couldn't be described as less than beautiful .

I finally closed my eyes and let take sleep take my mind .

While walking to our home, I started smelling a strong strect of blood, so I moved to its direction out of curiousity.
I was expecting seeing some elves fighting, but instead, I found a half dead cat. There were many burn marks on its body, it was missing a limb, had broken bones and was bleeding from many parts of its body.
I wasn't an expert but I was sure it was a miracle that it was alive .
Fortunately, we had a genius mage with the second best rare healing affinity, and now after years of training she could easily do something like growing limbs .
So after healing it, I decided to take that cat home. We were a little lonely so having a cat would be a good change .
Now in the home, we were fighting for the best name for the cat.
"We should name her little Zephy! It's better than the name you made. "
"What's wrong with the name I made? World Destroyer suits her."
"What about honey? She looks so cute that I could eat her."

Zephyr crossed her arms "Tsk, I still prefer Zephy. You don't have a taste. "
I stared at Silva. She was looking at me with curiosity. It was strange that she didn't run immediately but I didn't hate that.
"Hi little kitty. You will live with us from now on, and I decided to call you Silva! Do you like it?
Silva tilted her head for a moment then nodded.
"...."
I rubbed my eyes, trying to understand what I just saw.
"Hey, Did you guys see something strange?"
"L-like a cat nodding?" Aria said with a shaking voice.
Zephyr's eyes sparkled with excitement and his lips curled into a cold smile.
"Maybe it's a magical beast! Ray, we found a treasure, we could tame her and trade her for an artifact in the black market!"
Silva flinched a little at his words .
"The fuck you mean 'we'? I found her and I won't sell her. She is mine! Wait, did you just say black market? "
"Huh? When did I say black market? Are you hallucinating?"

We suddenly heard a sound from Silva's stomach. She lowered her head immediately .
"I think she is hungry, you two go buy the best fish you could find. I will cook it for her, and also buy some milk. "

Aria pulled Zephyr from his collar and left with him to buy Silva's food .

After reading the whole article I realized that the situation was strange. They showed how bad his injuries were and even the hospital he was in.
"It's most likely a cheap trap. They really attacked him but maybe they failed and he is trying to attract them. Wait, maybe he is really injured and he wants them to think that it's a trap! Tsk, I really hate mind games."

The dark figure shook his head." He still can't see anything. It's been 14 years since his power became unstable, and after we killed The Phantom Illusionist, he lost his mind and started talking about something hunting him. His condition is only becoming worse. "
The man sighed. "You can go now. Give this blood to the demons, then you can speak with Vereshia to choose a reward. "
The dark figure nodded then melted in the shadows, leaving the man alone.
Suddenly, a chair appeared behind the man which he sat on. He opened his necklace which revealed an image of a beautiful woman and a little girl .
The man's lips curled into a soft smile.
"Soon, we will meet again… I promise."
