When Martin Riley got home, Crystal Foster and Otto were just sitting down at the dining table. The moment Crystal saw Martin, she felt a bit awkward, muttering a quiet greeting before focusing on getting Otto to eat.
"You're home earlier than usual today, sir. I'll get you some utensils," the housekeeper said as she fetched them. Martin took off his suit jacket and sat at the table, watching the loving interaction between mother and son, feeling oddly out of place.
"Daddy, don't just watch me and Mommy. You should eat too. The food Auntie made today is really good," Otto said, sneaking glances at Martin. When he noticed Martin looking at Crystal, he spoke up.
Crystal's face turned red, and she glared at Otto, "No talking while eating. You need to eat well to grow tall."
She was about to feed Otto with a spoon when Martin gently held her hand. "How old are you, Otto? You shouldn't need someone to feed you."
