Claire analyzed the schedule for the day with her finger before she finally found some free time, "Hmm, yea 4:15 you can shoot him at 4:15" Claire said.
"Yea that works for me" Phil said.
"Mooom please" Luke groaned
"Sorry dude its on the calendar" Phil ruffled Luke's hair and walked away while Alex looked smug at Luke.
"Ohhh come on!" Luke said sadly as he walked away.
"Honey Dylan is gonna come around at about 1:20" Claire reminded Phil who nodded.
"Yea, I gotta leave for the house showing anyways so I'll be ready, it sucks that I wont be able to stick around to meet him properly" Phil replied.
Liam also saw this window of opportunity where Phil was gonna be relaxing for about a hour, so he stepped forwards ready to pitch.
Phil who was sitting on the sofa at this moment and planning on watching TV was interrupted by Liam.
"Hey Dad, I have an investment idea" Liam started off catching Phils attention.
"What do you have in mind buddy"
Liam cleared his throat, Claire who was walking past also heard Liam and was interested in what he was gonna say.
"Right so I have come here to ask for a 1000$, I want to invest it in this Crypto currency called Bitcoin, I have done all the research and I am confident in, Bitcoin's success" Liam opened his pitch.
"Woah, That's quite a lot of money you want buddy" Phil said.
"I know that's a lot, but I am confident in this, and look at it this way, you can't really lose money at the current stage of bitcoin, it is afterall similar to purchasing a house, whose value will appreciate and leave you with profit" Liam said.
"Where'd you learn about this? Phil asked.
"Exploring the internet" Liam said.
"That's pretty cool, you sure it's not a scam?" Phil asked.
"I am 100% sure Bitcoin is not a scam" Liam said.
"Okay then I'll give it to you" Phil agreed.
"Wait no why are you agreeing so quickly" Claire immediately interjected smacking Phil on his shoulder lightly.
"Ow! He is confident in it trust him a little won't you" Phil said rubbing his shoulder.
"Trust him... it's a 1000 dollars, what do you mean trust him a little?" Claire said.
"Cmon" Phil said.
"You are not gonna give it to him" Claire declared "the 1000 can be put to use for better things" She said.
"And Liam you should be focusing on your studies" Claire said as she walked off declaring the end of this.
"I mean... even a 100 is fine" Liam tried bargaining, he couldn't just come out and say that he was from the future and knew how valuable even a single bitcoin will be.
"Hmm, this is good, a learning moment even" Phil murmured under his breath as he deliberated in his mind.
He wished to instill the value of money and hardworking, and Phil saw a great opportunity here to do both for Liam.
"You know, your mom is right you should be focusing on your studies more" Phil said causing disappointment to cloud Liam's face.
"But" Phil said with a smile.
"How about we make a bet, if you manage to get 1400+ on your PSAT next month I'll give you 500" Phil said.
"Really?!" Liam blurted with excitement, disappointment creeping up on Liam vanishing in an instant.
"But is Mom gonna be fine with that?" Liam asked suddenly holding back his excitement.
"Oh don't worry about your mom I still got a few tricks up my sleeve" Phil said as he pulled out a long plastic sword out of his robes sleeve displaying his skill in magic, causing Liam to laugh a little.
"But honestly if you get that many marks, I don't think she will be too resistant to give you the money as a reward anyways" Phil said with a chuckle as he put aside the sword he had pulled out.
"Thank you dad" Liam smiled happily, although thinking about the marks he had to achieve, he a felt cold sweat on his back.
But he cheered himself on, this was his second attempt at this, he had already done this once, although it's gonna be a little tricky, Liam felt like he could pull this off.
With this investment of 500 although it wasn't the ideal 1000, it was still more than enough, split into 400 for a mining rig and 100 for P2P buys from October to Decemeber, he will have nearly 80 million by the age of 21 years old and have 22 billion by 31 when a singular bitcoin hits 110k.
Liam smiled thinking about this feeling extremely excited.
The kind of excitement that wouldn't let him sleep at night.
He had to get those marks no matter what.
In his previous life God knows how he struggled to make ends meat.
Everyday, he used to juggle two part time jobs and college just so he could pay for his daily expenses and college expenses the bank did not cover.
So this was a chance he had to potentially live a life he could not even imagine before.
"Here is some more detailed information Bitcoin dad" Liam went to hand the papers to Phil.
But Phil shook his head.
"I am sure you have done your own reaserch, and I trust you know what you are doing" Phil said with reassuring smile, knowing damn well he was about to reaserch about Bitcoin when he got to his office.

An hour soon passed and Phil was getting ready to head out for his showing, Claire was behind the staircase folding laundry while Alex was busy in her room studying, Luke was dropped of at the birthday party while Liam was sitting in the hall and Haley was in her room applying makeup.
At this moment the door bell rang.
"Don't answer it, I'll get it!" Haley shouted as she dropped the eyeliner on the ground and rushed out of her room.
But Claire was closer so she got to the door first and opened it quickly.
"Hi! Hey, you must be Dylan." Claire said as she extended her hand out and shook Dylan's hand.
"Hey yeah, I'm Dylan" he chuckled nervously.
"I'm Haley's mother" Claire said with a smile.
Haley was mid way down the stairs when she slowed down and realized that there was simply no avoiding it.
Claire glanced at Dylan and noticed just how tall he was and felt doubtful to the fact that he really was 16, "Dylan, you're still in high school right?" She asked.
"Yeah, I'm a senior."
"A senior.." Claire said with restrained smile on her face "Okay, cool cool, Phil, sweety, honey… he is Dylan and he is a senior…" she said as Phil came over ready to leave, Claire leaned towards his ear and whispered to him "You need to scare him"
