Chapter 6 - Day two Life Two pt 3

Back home I used to call one of my friends my Evara, god he was so nice. The name basically means gift from God. "Would you like to be named Evara, we could call you Eve for short?" * I feel like there is more meaning behind this name, when you say it, you are full of pride. * I explain to system how dear to me my friend was, and about the name Eve. "Where I come from, some of us pray to only one god who we believe made the world. After creating the world and its plants and animals, he made the first man Adam. After that he made the second person and first woman eve. I was thinking that since Hebenami made me first and then you second, and along with you being a gift essentially that it would be perfect for you."

System doesn't respond nor does the wind blow; I could be getting better at this. *But what about me being free? I also want to roam this world with you, not just a part of you. I want to see things with my own eyes. Do you think naming me Evara will grant me freedom? * I stop walking and lean against a tree as system voices their concerns. I didn't think about that part so I'm at a loss on what to respond with. Maybe I could join two names together? I'm not used to staying in a place where names have meaning, or where being given a name could cause you to evolve or change form. This is all so new to me and I'm not sure how It will turn out. " I can guarantee anything, I'm not sure how this naming works because I've never done it before. How about you think on it for a bit and decide later on if you want to be named or not, we could always wait until we know more to name you."

I started to walk again when my tail hit a stone on the ground. It made me wonder why I had a tail and horns if I was a plant being. My nails, horns and scales on my tail were all black but reflected a deep green color in the sun. Am I a dragon?!? I ask the system the same question and am met with a harsh no. "Could you elaborate?" I promise to all that is good I'm going to body slam the system if it ever gets a physical body. *Oh no, I'm so scared. When looking at your species and your name, both are classified as unknown. You have no titles and no relatives, and it is already known that you are completely brand new to this world. Therefore, you have no species, is that better. * With that final answer, I complete my plan to body slam system. I don't care whether they are man or woman, old or young, I'm going to hurt them at some point.

I keep walking but I think I took a wrong turn somewhere because the forest looks slightly different. The trees, while usually leaving speckles of sunlight on the forest floor, have now closed out all sunlight in an arching circular looking tunnel. It was breathtaking. The trees were covered in beautiful white flowers that started on the forest floor and traveled up their trunks. There was also ivy plants wrapped around the trees and dangling giving it a magical look and feel. The scene, although beautiful, felt eerily quiet. This forest hasn't been quiet since I first arrived here. There have always been birds chirping, animals whooping, or insects chattering. I had a bad feeling about the area, and I paused in my steps.

"Yeah, that's a hell no." I Turn and walk back from where I came knowing damn well if my stomach and instincts tell me something is wrong, then something must be wrong!

Skill Threat perception has Been acquired

I hear another voice in my head as I leave the beautiful but obviously dangerous part of the forest. "What's Threat Perception?" I ask system as I pick a beautiful purple flower from a nearby bush and feel a slight buzzing in the back of my mind. * Threat Perception is a skill that allows the user to sense danger whether it be an incoming enemy, a being a higher level than oneself, or certain natural disasters. * I smell the flower as I twirl it around in my hand and listen to system explain my new skill. The flower smells heavenly, almost like that of vanilla and lavender, *what's vanilla and how have you smelled a Lavender? * I stop in my tracks and put my hands on my hips as I think on how to describe vanilla and try to figure out why my mind is still buzzing, a bit more now than the beginning. "Vanilla is a flowering vine, I think, the vine part anyways. But it's a flowering plant that is used a lot where I come from. We use it in baking for flavoring and spices, we use it in art and design, we use it for perfumes, we use it for all kinds of things basically. And lavender is the same way.

*Are your lavenders back home kind? * I knit my eyebrows together at systems question because like what do you mean are they kind, lavenders are flowers where I come from, what's a lavender here. *A lavender here is a small, fanged best with purple hair that typically travels in a pack of 12 sometimes more. Bigger groups require a lavender to evolve into a Lavalool or a Lavalyl, both dangerous in their own ways but even more so together. * I place the flower behind a strand of my hair and tuck them both behind my ear. "This hair is entirely too long, I need to find something to tie it up with, but I find it insane that something harmless in my world is actually a terrifying beast down here!" I begin looking around on the forest floor for something vine like that I could tie my hair up with but come up empty handed, Empty handed with my hair again falling in front of my face and my flower falling to the ground and making a tiny explosion. It left a small burn mark on the ground and the smell of something burning hit my nose immediately along with the buzzing in my mind dying down. Now i knew what feeling id get for threat perception. "Why. The. Fuck. Did you not tell me that those flowers could explode?! *I'm sorry, I meant to inform you as you picked it, but I forgot when you mentioned the lavenders. They only explode when they are thrown or dropped though, so you had no threat to your immediate life. * I throw my hands up in the air exasperated. What do they mean not a threat to my life, what if it landed on my foot or leg, I'd be a uniped! You ever seen a uniped because I have and that stuff does not look fun!

* They are known as Incendesians and are native only to this island, many animals are too afraid to go near the bushes, but they produce a delicious yellow fruit. * I sit on the floor and think about how again I almost died but this time because of a flower. but it really smelled so good and was also really pretty. Sitting on the floor I look in the bush and happen to see bunches of a yellow almost golden colored fruit. Apparently, I don't have to eat, but that doesn't mean I don't want to try the fruit. I stand up and walk back towards the bush. the fruit seems to grow near the center of the bush and looks to have about 7 berries on each bushel. when i look over into the bush to try and find a better angle to reach for the berries, my hair falls back in my face, and I see it knock some flowers loose. As the flowers fall to the ground, I look like a chicken running around trying to avoid losing a talon to the small flowers, or an entire leg to the bigger explosions.

After a few minutes of running around, all the explosions are done and I'm back in my patch where I started and again am sitting on the ground thinking about what I can do with my hair. As I lay there, an idea comes to mind. "Hey system, couldn't I just grow a vine from the ground so that I can tie my hair back? Couldn't I use plant manipulation and do that?" a second pauses and at first, I think their ignoring me, but then they say that it should be possible. I reposition myself by sitting on my legs and knees and began rubbing my hands together. I thrust my hands out Infront of me and wait for something to happen. The wind blows. I repeat the steps and try again, this time i think i start to feel something in my hands and I get really excited, just for it to be an itch. i roll my eyes and silently ask for system to help me.

* To use your plant manipulation skill, you have to visualize what you want done and then see it happening. Not see as in witness but see it visually in your mind's eye. Start with something simple first, something that you've seen before, you don't need to know the ins and outs, that's what magic is for. You need to feel it want it and believe it. Finally bring all these together and again see in your mind's eye what you will to happen. * That was a lot to take in, I feel like I just left class back home. I take everything that system said, and I try to put it in motion with something I've seen and known before. It's a difficult flower but I remember growing them and doing a buttload of research on them back home. I close my eyes and try my hardest to focus. *Do you want to activate your skill Resolute, Hope, and Will? * I stop and ask system what that skill does.

*This skill allows you to ignore any and all distractions and put all your energy and focus into completing a task. The task can be anything but at its current level you can only do one thing at a time. * After system is done, I tell them to go ahead and activate the skill, suddenly all sound drowns out and my eyes are drawn to the spot in the ground. My body becomes rigid and only moves to precise areas if I focus very hard on it doing so. After getting myself in a comfortable position I close my eyes and imagine my surroundings. I imagine the dirt in front of me and imagine a small brown stump growing out of the ground with three bright green nubs. I feel my hands start to warm and from behind my eyelids I can tell that something is lighting up. despite the new feelings I drown them out quite easily and continue imaging and forcing my will into the imaginary plant. I pull the stump a bit higher and then begin focusing on the green nubs, pulling them left and right up and around until the almost look like a three-bar bird cage.

I keep trying to focus but I feel sweat building up on my head and running down my face and arms. I start picking areas on the three green branches slowly turning brown and pull stems and leaves from each one, some long some short and all a deep glossy forest green color. Next, I focus on the tip of some of the stems I began by forming a ball in my mind, and then slowly the ball changes shape and forms almost a wide base with a pointed tip. I open my eyes for the next part and as I imagine it and see it with my own eyes, my very first rose opens and blooms before me. I can't help but smile and then I began a bit quicker adding blooms at different points of the bush all in a lovely blush pink color. As I'm nearing the end of the bush now no longer struggling but fervently blooming petals, I'm suddenly flying across the forest, and my bush is no longer in front of me.
