"I don't need to rely on my bride to increase my prestige." Kael said. "I don't need her to be the best of the best. I don't plan on getting married for the benefit of the masses or my pack. I... I plan to get married for my own happiness. And I feel..." He gulped. "My happiness lies with you. I don't care if you're blind or lame, even. What I care about is you. So, after hearing this, won't you be my bride?"
After hearing that, who wouldn't say yes?
Lilah was happy to the point that she couldn't believe all this was real. It was too absurd to think her life would take such a curve at this point.
But still... She would wait till midnight to confirm the complete twist of her fate.
"Yes, Alpha Kael." She said.
"Just call me Kael. You're my wife, not my subordinate." He said and that made her laugh.
They weren't married yet and he was already calling her his wife. What more could he say to cause her heart to flutter?
