"Errr….. Sorry?"
Brogy and Dorry were still somewhat shocked as they looked at the human who was now running towards the baby with his arms open wide.
As he inspected Haruki, he glared at the two giants.
"Ah, my poor master, what horrors have these two brutes put you through?"
After being called brutes, the two giants quickly sobered up.
"Hey! We are not brutes. We are honorable warriors of Elbaf."
The Valet, who was now holding Haruki, sighed and pointed at the pile of meat that Brogy had just thrown aside.
"An honorable warrior? That proves my point…. Only a muscle for brains who knows nothing but fighting would try to feed a newborn baby a pile of chewed meat. Every adult should know that babies can only drink milk! I shudder at the thought of the terrible end my master might have faced had I not arrived. He would have choked to death. Oh, my poor master. He wouldn't have even known what was happening to him."
When Dorry and Brogy heard that they could have possibly killed the baby, they became pale. The anger that they had felt before had turned to shame.
"We…..We didn't know," they both said quietly.
Seeing that they both said sorry, the heterochromia-eyed Valet sighed and shook his head.
"No, my apologies. You only meant to help my young master. Unlike I, who was created with the sole purpose of looking after him, you two were suddenly thrust with the responsibility of taking care of him."
While the three men spoke, Haruki tried to communicate with the summoned monster, but no matter what he said, the Valet didn't seem to understand him.
"Hey, Odd-Eyes Valet!!! Calm down, and don't get them angry!!! Seriously, you can't understand me either!!!"
The purple-grey-haired Valet looked down at his master, who was cooing like crazy and smiled.
"Don't you worry, young master. I, the great and only Odd-eyed Valet, will serve you for as long as you will have me…No! Even if you cast me aside, I shall look after you from the shadows!"
Even though Haurki could only see the silhouette of the man, he was somewhat annoyed by the exaggerated movements the Valet was making.
"Okay, Okay, I get it. Now stop that, and please do something about my diaper and milk. I'm starving!!!"
"Oh my, thanks for accepting my vow, young master!! I shall serve you to the best of my abilities!!!"
Both giants looked on with curiosity as the Valet laid the young boy on a small porcelain tub that emerged from a puff of white smoke.
"Okay, now that you have had a bath, a new diaper, and new clothes, it's time for you to drink some milk. Let see.... Ah, I know….."
Another puff of white smoke appeared, and from it, the Valet pulled out a bottle of milk. He held it up for the baby as he drank.
"With the milk of the Amazoness, you shall grow to become a strong master who will accomplish anything he sets out to do. And I shall assist you until the whole world is yours, hahaha!!!"
Haruki stopped drinking when he heard the type of milk he was drinking.
'Amazoness?....Oh, those warrior women cards…..Well, I guess at least they are human and not disgusting creatures, but it's still weird…'
As Hauki drank from the bottle, the two giants looked at him and the Valet.
Brogy sighed and scratched his head, 'So that's how we were supposed to take care of a baby….. I was going to submerge him into the lake….. I have failed as this little one's protector.'
Dorry, on the other hand, ate and asked, "So you serve the little one? He must be the son of a great warrior, or is he the son of a chief?"
The Valet looked at them and sighed. "I….. I don't know."
Hearing this, Brogy and Dorry froze and looked at the butler, who continued to look at the Haruki with a smile.
"You don't know?" Dorry asked in confusion
The Odd-eyed Valet shook his head, "No…I wish that I did, but I don't know. This was my first time meeting him. All that I knew before now was that I was tasked with taking care of a motherless and fatherless baby. With that information, I prepared as best as I could. The moment that I arrived and laid eyes on him, I knew that he was my master. The one who is my sole purpose of living."
Dorry and Brogy looked at the Valet, admiration burning into their eyes.
"Gi-Ga-Ba-Ba!!! —"
"Shhh!! You will scare my master!!"
"Oh, sorry….. But what I was going to say is that you are a great and honorable person. While it's sad to hear that the little one has lost his parents at such a young age, he is fortunate to have you. If you allow it, I would like to help for as long as I can."
Dorry looked at Brogy and smiled, "I would also like to help your noble cause. My old man once told me that watching a young one grow into a warrior is an honor that no battle can match. I want to experience that honor."
The red and green eyes of the Valet looked at the two giant faces that showed fierce determination, and he dipped his head.
"You two have both mine and my master's thanks."
