Chapter 65 - Chapter 65 Chaos! Madness! The Intelligence Agencies Are Fighting for Credit!

All the intelligence agencies were stunned when they received the mysterious message.

The SMS was vague and lacked context, and the attachment contained only a cargo ship's GPS location and a container ID.

But precisely because of this ambiguity, every agency's curiosity was piqued.

Soon, after tracing the message's origin, they all locked in on DHS.

Everyone knew DHS's jurisdiction—clearly, the container held something dangerous to homeland security.

And once they dug deeper into the source, Ryan's identity and his current undercover role within Prometheus, an extremist terror organization, came to light.

Most agencies weren't particularly interested in Ryan himself.

But Prometheus? That caught everyone's attention.

Unlike typical terror groups driven by religion, ethnicity, or politics, Prometheus had a unique vision:

"Burn the old world to the ground, and build a new one atop its ashes."

Every intelligence agency had Prometheus flagged as a top-tier threat.

While other terror groups sought land, money, or power, Prometheus was anti-humanity, aiming to trigger global annihilation.

Learning that the intel came from a DHS mole embedded within Prometheus, the agencies immediately upgraded the threat level to 5-stars.

One agency's investigation into Prometheus's "Fire Seed Plan" led to a domino effect—every agency was now in the loop.

Even DHS.

DHS Los Angeles Field Office

Senior officer Dylan White stared at the intel—leaked from other agencies—with a look of rage.

"F**k! How did Ryan's message to me end up in the hands of every damn intel agency?""These bastard leeches! DHS is leaking like a goddamn sieve!"

In the conference room, he roared at his subordinates:

"We didn't even fully crack the Fire Seed Plan, and now every other agency knows everything!""If that weapon is a mushroom cloud, we're all dead men!"

"What the hell are you waiting for? Go intercept the Narwhal! Get that weapon now!"

This was supposed to be DHS's moment of glory.

Ryan had delivered highly sensitive intel, and all DHS had to do was bust Killian's cell and seize the weapon before it entered U.S. territory.

That would've been a career-defining win—bigger than stopping 9/11.

Dylan White would've been promoted to the top of DHS… maybe even into the White House.

Now? That glory was up for grabs.

Every agency was diving in.

FBI Los Angeles Field Office

Operations Chief Samuel led the FBI's special ops team onto a helicopter headed straight for the Narwhal.

"Can't believe Ryan quietly acquired such valuable intel.""This time, it's FBI's turn to steal the win from DHS!"

A massive bust. Averted catastrophe. National hero status.

No agency could resist. It was just too easy—intercept the ship, grab the cargo, and boom: immortal glory.

At the same time, CIA, NSA, and other agencies launched their own operations.

Every single one knew:

"Whoever grabs that weapon first, wins."

Santa Monica Beach

Civilians on the beach looked up at the sky, puzzled by wave after wave of helicopters—some even Black Hawks.

"What the hell is going on?""Sh*t, is this war?""Oh my God, is Russia invading?""Wait—are aliens landing in the ocean?"

The beach turned into a scene of rubberneckers and wild speculation.

Meanwhile, back in his hotel, Ryan lounged on the bed, getting a little bored.

The agencies were so focused on the weapon, they weren't even paying attention to Prometheus anymore.

And since they all investigated the message and discovered Ryan's undercover status, it had triggered his Trojan.

When the flood of data hit his phone, Ryan froze.

"Holy sh*t… how did my Trojan end up inside so many intel agencies?""They all know about the Fire Seed Plan?""They're all racing to grab it?!"

Now he had a problem.

He'd expected a small turf war—maybe DHS vs. one or two rivals.

But now over a dozen agencies were in play.

"Damn… I need a new plan."

He opened his system store and began scrolling.

And then he found it.
