Chapter 67 - Chapter 67 – “Too Late to Surrender, I Was Already Counting Down!”

Killian instinctively turned his head as a voice came through the walkie-talkie—

Only to see two grenades without pins flying through the air!

In that instant, his entire life flashed before his eyes—from childhood memories to things he'd thought he'd long forgotten.

His instincts screamed at him to run… to hide…But it was too late.

BOOM! BOOM!

The grenades exploded midair. Hundreds of shrapnel fragments blasted down the corridor at near-sonic speeds.

The enclosed walls amplified the shockwave, turning the hallway into a meat grinder.

Killian's last conscious moment was soaked in blood, lingering on the day he had proudly joined Prometheus.

Then—black.

Ryan stepped out of the smoke, walking calmly through the carnage. Those closest to the blast were utterly destroyed; those further away were critically wounded.

Merciful as ever, Ryan approached them.

The Great Merciful Viper Bodhisattva delivered "liberation" with a final bullet.

On the first floor, several terrorists clutching walkie-talkies screamed in panic as they heard from the surveillance room:

"Oh God! He just grenaded the entire second floor!"

"F*ck! BOSS is dead!"

"No! He's finishing them off!!"

"Don't stay on the first floor! Don't stay on the first floor!"

"Either surrender to the cops, or fall back to the basement!"

"Guard the only entrance—wait for SWAT, we might survive!"

Ryan, still on the second floor, heard every word.

[Wait a minute... You're terrorists, and you're hoping SWAT will save you?]

[You're my points, my rewards! Even if SEAL Team 6 shows up, they better not get in my way.]

He smirked. On his detection card, he watched them all rush into the basement and set up an ambush at the stairwell.

But Ryan didn't attack immediately.First—the surveillance room.

No evidence left behind.

The terrified guard saw Ryan jump through a window and began frantically scanning every camera feed, trying to find him.

Too late.A silenced shot pierced his temple—

THUD.

His head hit the desk, lifeless.

Ryan kicked in the window, tore out the surveillance system's hard drive, and pocketed it.

Wiping data isn't enough. Physically remove the drive—no God can recover that.

In the basement…

Dozens of terrorists were camped at the stairs, weapons ready. Ears perked for the faintest step.

CLACK. CLACK.

Custom-made Oxford leather shoes echoed crisply on concrete.

The sound made every terrorist's finger twitch on the trigger.

Guns raised. Eyes locked on the stairwell.

Then—silence.

Just one more step and Ryan would be in their line of fire.

But Ryan didn't move.

This was his stage.

Gun-fu.

The Merciful Viper Bodhisattva's bullet bent 90 degrees around the wall, straight into one terrorist's forehead.

Panic erupted.

They unleashed hell—but only shot the wall.

Adrenaline, fear, full-auto madness. In seconds, every magazine was empty.

Then silence again.

"NO! He didn't even peek—how the hell did Tony die?!"

"God help us—his bullets really bend?!"

"Fck! Fck! He's not human! He's a demon!"

"Sh*t! I don't want to be a terrorist anymore! Police, save me!"

"I surrender! I SURRENDER!"

One raised his hands… then two… then all of them.

But Ryan wasn't LAPD right now.He was a counter-terrorist.

Police may take surrenders. Counter-terrorists just eliminate.

As the group stood, hands raised in desperation—

BOOM!

A grenade flew through the air.

Ryan stepped around the corner, letting out a soft sigh:

"Sorry… You surrendered too late.I was already counting down."

With that, the hotel was silent.

Every terrorist—dead. Not one left standing.

Time to gather his rewards, cash in on justice points, and purchase the holographic stealth suit set.

Next stop? Intercepting the special weapon on the ship.

But Ryan wouldn't go himself—he'd send a clone.

He, meanwhile, would chat with the LAPD outside.

"Let them be my alibi. Let them prove I was never here."

Then when chaos hits enemy shores—What the hell does that have to do with him?
